Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 296: [Bonus - ]Neither Are You
Xiran had been restless ever since Aselia got injured. He knew something was wrong with her, even thousands of miles apart they could sense each other.
He picked up his phone and dialled Frila, as soon as she picked up he urgently asked:
"Frila, when was the last time you took an update about her?" she knew what he meant.
"Two days back," she answered.
"Can you call and check? Then inform me, I am waiting," the desperation in his voice was very evident and she could sense it.
"On it, Señor," she reassured him and once he ended the call she instantly texted Yurian.
Yurian was fetching food for Aselia at that time when his phone chimed with her message. Taking it out he saw it was from Frila:
[Hi! Yurian, how is it going? How is Aselia doing? What’s new with life?]
Yurian didn’t want to worry Frila by telling her about Aselia’s accident. He knew Frila had been through enough so he didn’t want to add to her burdens. He decided not to tell her about it.
[Hey! Frila, all is good here. Aselia is doing fine, she is learning to ride the heavy bike she had bought. How about u?] He texted her back before pocketing his phone and heading to the cafeteria to fetch food for Aselia.
Frila read his message and was relieved to learn that Aselia was keeping herself busy with new tasks. She wondered how Xiran will react to learning that Aselia had bought a bike, remembering how concerned he always appeared about her.
She decided to visit her Señor and inform him. Frila took her car and went to visit Xiran, he was at his home that day. Parking the car, Frila went inside with the key Xiran had given her. She knocked on the living room door not wanting to enter without his permission.
Xiran soon opened the door for her and seeing her there, all of the colour on his handsome face got drained.
"Is she ok?" was the first question he threw at her as both of them made their way to the living room and settled down.
"Good afternoon, Señor. Yes, Yurian said she is doing good. She has bought a heavy bike and is learning to ride it nowadays," he clenched his jaw at her words and his forehead got wrinkled. Frila felt his eyes turning cold.
"Why does she have to seek dangers all the time? What if she fell and got herself injured? Bikes are dangerous, can’t she make do with a car? Ask Yurian to put some sense into her," he rambled on in anger. Not knowing she had already done that.
"Señor! We can’t do that anymore," she regrettably said and Xiran let out a deep sigh. He knew he couldn’t control every aspect of her life, especially not now.
"Frila! Something is wrong with her. I want to find out what and I know the person who can help me. Try to keep in contact with Yurian daily and report to me," he instructed her with finality and she nodded.
Xiran then took out his phone and sent a text, he knew he would get answers from there for his heart was telling him something was off.

Jaguar entered Aselia’s hospital room as Yurian left it to grab food. His shoulders felt stiff from all the tension he had experienced in the last few hours. Seeing her lying on the bed all bandaged up stirred something inside his heart, it almost pained him and he felt responsible.
If he hadn’t pushed her to race with him, this wouldn’t have happened. His goal was to keep her safe and not push her towards danger and yet he did. He quietly approached her and she silently watched him with a guarded expression.
"I am sorry for what happened," he finally spoke breaking the eerie silence that surrounded them, their eyes met and he didn’t find any hostility in them, just curiosity.
"You didn’t cause the accident, and neither did you attack me. What’s sorry for and why the long face?" she asked with a smile.
"I shouldn’t have pushed you for that race. I was being greedy and we should have chosen a better track because you don’t have much experience with a bike on bumpy roads," he added with so much seriousness that his forehead creased.
"But it was fun and mind you I would have won it if I hadn’t fallen," Aselia replied with a slight cluck.
"Ahm!" he awkwardly cleared his throat at her words and she laughed and said:
"Ok ok, for the first time, I have to admit you are an extremely talented biker and I need to practice a lot more to reach your level. If it had been a car race then it would be a whole different story."
"I have no doubt," Jaguar finally sat down and his eyes roamed her body, to access her injuries. His jaw was tightly shut.
"It’s nothing, the arm was only dislocated and the leg wound is not deep. They will let me go tomorrow," Aselia filled him in seeing his serious face and that tight jaw instantly slackened to reveal a faint smile.
"I am relieved to hear that. Any other injuries?"
"No," her answer relaxed him further and she asked the one question that was lingering on her lips for long.
"So you are not a human. It’s against the hunter rules to hide your species. Don’t you trust us?"
"It’s not about that. I was asked to keep it confidential because of the enemies we face so to only use it as a secret weapon. I am not comfortable with people finding out what my species is and I think you can relate with me. White Falcon," he gave her a knowing look and emphasized her name.
"What do you mean?" she feigned innocence.
"You are not human either, you hide what you are as well because of the enemy threat. Am I wrong?" and his eyes went to her hair and ears which were still hidden under the bandana and she could feel her heartbeat getting louder.
