Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 312: Love or Duty?
Rubisha didn’t want to take too much of his blood for he got injured a day ago. But as his blood entered her, she couldn’t help but feel as if gulping a fine variety of wine. He was tastier than she had imagined and she wondered if all hounds had similar tasting blood.
Silver’s hand slipped behind her neck and he kept her head steady as she sucked on his blood. Her hand rubbed his rock-solid chest. She didn’t want to let go of him, he was tantalizingly delicious with a body that seemed to have been sculpted to perfection.
Rubisha was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t realize that her mouth was still latched on his sinewy neck. Returning to her senses Rubisha slowly removed her canines and licked the drops of blood that trickled out with her coarse tongue. It made him shiver and Rubisha couldn’t help but giggle. She tilted her head back to peek at him and said:
"You didn’t move a muscle when I drank your blood but shivered when I licked your neck."
"Well, it tickled and I am not used to people licking my neck or sucking my blood," the warmth she had seen earlier still lingered in those hypnotic eyes of his and she wanted to kiss him again. Feel those soft lips of his and she wondered how tantalizing it would be if he was to latch them on her nipples and sucked. She then facepalmed herself in her mind and stopped daydreaming before asking:
"It was the first time you let a vampire drink your blood?" him being a vampire hunter was an obvious answer but she still wanted to confirm that she was the first vampire he had allowed to have his blood. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"It was the first time I did a lot of things with a vampire," he winked at her and sliding down from her body, Silver propped himself on his arm and faced her.
"It was quite an experience," Rubisha turned on her side as well so she could look at him.
"Hmm," he hummed throatily.
"So you are a hound. You were the one who attacked me the first night?" she narrowed her eyes at him but held a hint of a smile.
"Yeah, I had no clue that a vampire could be defending the city against the rogues," he added in an apologetic tone.
"Not all of us are the enemy Mr Silver. I hope you are figuring that out," she reached out and brushed the hair aside which was falling into his eyes so she could see them more clearly and understand his emotional state.
"The perspective one forms becomes near impossible to change in such a short period, especially when they have taken everything away from you," his body went rigid like a surfing board and coldness sunk in his eyes yet again. Rubisha sensed that something unforgettable was done to him by vampires.
"Share with me," she placed her hand on his cheek.
"Some other time, maybe. I don’t want to sour the mood," he replied with finality. Leaving no option up for discussion.
"Well, vampires can be heartless. My family abandoned me after birth and I was raised by my aunt’s family. Kili is my cousin and we grew up together. I owe him and his family everything and exactly the reason I want to keep his city safe," she confided to him with a forlorn look in her eyes which was almost pained.
"I am sorry. They never visited you?" he asked in a gentle tone.
"It’s complicated. The reason they abandoned me and how they insist now that I return to them. But my heart has closed for them," she deeply sighed.
"I understand, families can be complicated."
Rubisha nodded at him, her open hair spread on her face and she yawned a bit. She hadn’t slept a wink the whole night and day so her eyes began to droop.
"Sleep," he could sense she was tired. Climbing down from the bed and grabbing the blanket he had dropped earlier the vampire hunter covered Rubisha with it. He decided to return to his condo once she would sleep.
"Sleep with me," the softness of her voice and the pout she held while she tried to stay awake had him give up that thought and he found himself climbing back in bed.
Silver’s mind kept telling him that he was trudging on dangerous ground here. It was almost like sleeping with the enemy. But were all vampires their enemies? As they had been taught all their lives. She was just a regular girl, the difference was she needed blood for survival.
He had always hated them with a passion like Aselia did but then she fell in love with one, he judged her harshly for it and now here he was being drawn to this woman. The woman he knew was a vampire and yet she didn’t hesitate to risk her life for him.
Now he understood how Aselia must have felt, now he understood why she went against everyone to let the man she loved go free. She chose him above everything else and she was steadfast in her belief. Would he be able to do that if he was to choose between Rubisha and his duties?
As Silver slid under the blanket, Rubisha snuggled with him. Her cold body felt nice against his warm one. One of her hands rested on his chest where his heart was and her head rested on his muscular arm.
"You are so warm and your blood tasted divine," she mumbled in her sleep snuggling close until her body touched every inch of his. He didn’t experience any revulsion from her instead his arm wrapped itself around her and he pulled her even closer.
Enjoying the feel her nearness was providing him. He shut down his mind to every other thought and just consumed himself with his present situation and it calmed him down.
