Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 313: Xiran is Surprised
Xiran was sitting in Rivan’s office waiting for his friend to return from his meeting so both of them could go have lunch together. He mostly had at least one meal with Rivan so the loneliness in his heart would lessen a bit.
The door opened and Rivan entered seeming furious. His calm demeanour was not so calm at that moment. Xiran sensed his friend’s agitation as Rivan briskly moved towards his desk. His jaw was tightly set.
"What’s wrong?" Xiran perplexedly asked, his eyes following his friend who had settled down in his chair and clasped his hands in front and rested his chin on it.
"Someone is hell-bent on buying my sister’s company. It has come to my attention that they are going to fakely lower the price of her shares in the market just to freak her out. Also, a false rumour will be spread about her products using harmful substances. This will negatively affect her company and she will be forced to sell it in the end. She will never accept my help," Rivan stared at Xiran with disturbed eyes and spoke again:
"Xi! This will kill her, she has dedicated all her life to standing on her feet and building her company. I can’t let this happen."
This infuriated Xiran, this was not unheard of in the business world. Large companies often similarly swallowed smaller ones. Lowering their shares or trapping them in the wrong lawsuits.
"Who is it? Tell me the name and I will deal with them," Xiran replied with fisted hands. Lately, his tolerance level had declined to dangerously low levels.
"Xiran this needs to be dealt with professionally. I just want to inform her of their intentions but she won’t talk to me," Rivan’s worries were apparent, his sister didn’t even talk to him let alone listen to him.
"She will listen to me. I will visit her. Fill me in on all the details," Xiran concluded. He had met her before and compared to Rivan she was less hostile towards him.
Rivan then explained everything to his silver-haired friend about what to tell his sister. Xiran decided to take his private jet to visit her. He made the necessary preparations and left in his jet.
Reaching her city, they landed and taking the car chauffeur took him to his desired destination. Rivan kept tabs on his sister and had given him the location. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Xiran exited the car and showed his ID to the guards posted outside the building. After a thorough inspection, Xiran was let in and made his way up. Reaching the desired door, he knocked swiftly on it.
The door opened and Xiran found himself face-to-face with a familiar figure. Who’s blue eyes were filled with surprise seeing Xiran.
The silver-haired vampire’s whole existence blazed seeing him standing there and in a split second, he grabbed him by the neck and pinned him to the wall with a loud thud.
"You! What did you do to her?" Xiran thundered with hostility filling his eyes to the brim. He feared something had happened to Rivan’s sister because the man he had grabbed was a vampire hunter and one Xiran loathed.
"I didn’t do anything, she is inside. Let go," the white-haired man hissed back at Xiran. They stared at each other, shooting daggers, knives, and whatnot through their eyes.
"What are you even doing here?" Xiran’s grip on his neck wasn’t loosening.
"None of your business, Xiran. What are you doing here?" the man snapped back at him, his handsome features contorting in anger due to being wrongly accused, he tried to get himself free of the iron grip Xiran held him in.
This enraged the silver-haired vampire even more and he banged his head against the wall, just as much to make his head explode in pain but not too much that it would bleed.
He snarled out due to pain that rippled through his head. "You are still so full of yourself after everything you did," his words hit the nail in Xiran’s heart and he growled back.
"What’s going on here?" a female voice startled them both and they turned their heads. "Let him go," she instructed Xiran with an angered look.
Xiran was perplexed but he did as was told.
"Rubisha! You alright? Did this man hurt you?" Xiran stepped closer to her and asked with a concerned tone.
"I am fine and he is a friend," Rubisha replied, a scowl still lingering on her face.
"Do you know he is a vampire hunter?" Xiran threw a scrutinized look toward Silver who was rubbing his neck.
"She does and not everyone despises me like you do."
Silver straightened his clothes and adjusted his hair before moving away from the wall and facing Xiran. Rubisha glimpsed from one man to the other. Both resembled each other in appearance and they were of the same height and yet it seemed they held so much enmity towards each other.
"What’s going on here? I am so confused but let’s go inside and talk like civil people," Rubisha pointed to the open door and both of them stopped glaring at each other and entered one after the other.
Taking seats opposite one another in her living room, they continued their staring competition. Rubisha went to her kitchen to bring something for them to drink. When Silver whispered so only Xiran could hear:
"You truly are a devil in disguise and try to act like an angel."
"Says the hidden viper, ready to strike even his teammates," Xiran yawped back.
"I can hear you both," Rubisha had emerged from the kitchen holding drinks. She gave Silver a bowl of soup since he was still recovering from his wounds. And offered Xiran a bottled drink which contained vodka and blood. It was a speciality of their city.
Both of them accepted the drinks and Rubisha sat down near Silver and said, her eyes roaming between the two men:
"So let’s talk about how you two know each other and what’s with all the animosity?"
