Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 318: The Light In His Eyes
Frila went to the orphanage Xiran had set up. He was busy with kids, they were making jigsaw puzzles, so she waited for him to get free.
A satisfied smile spread on Frila’s lips, seeing how connected he was with children and she knew one day he would make an exceptional father.
Once he had handed over the kids to their caretaker, he headed over to his study with Frila.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" he inquired, settling down in his chair and giving her all his attention.
"Señor, there is a slight problem," she was hesitant on how to address it. His expression instantly darkened and veins popped out in his clasped hands as he asked in exasperation:
"Is Aselia safe?"
Frila took a deep breath before answering. Her heart pounding loudly in her ribcage.
"She is but she saw me calling Yurian and now believes I am his secret girlfriend. She is very insistent on meeting me."
Frila then waited for Xiran’s wrath to descend on her so she prepared herself but to her surprise he began to smile.
"That is Aselia for you and I am sure Yurian made all kinds of excuses but she didn’t back down," there was twinkle in his eyes as if thinking about her immensely soothed him.
"He did but she is adamant."
"Go meet her Frila. Just make sure she doesn’t discover who you really are. I don’t see any harm in you meeting her. She needs a female friend, go be that."
His answer baffled Frila beyond reasoning but she found herself nodding at him.
"I will make sure not to mention anything from the past or let her know who I am."
"Good, take a box of chocolate for her. I will buy it myself. Also don’t forget to get some pictures of her and record her voice so I can hear it later," Xiran went on and on with instructions and Frila had to suppress a smile. It felt like Frila was going on a date with Aselia on Xiran’s behalf.
"Señor, I will call you while meeting her so you can hear her live. Will keep the phone in my bag so she won’t know."
She hadn’t seen him smile like that in a long time, her words had given him some long sought peace.
"I will very much look forward to that, thank you Frila. I would be so lost without you," his tone was soft and he gave her an appreciated nod.
"Señor one more thing. She thinks I own a video game store so we might need to set that up and I will take few pictures there. So she could believe the lies, Yurian has already sent me a ton of data I need to learn about video games, in case she asks me a few questions," Frila visibly sighed.
"I will ask Zir to help you with this, also take guidance from Rumail. Both of them are experts with video games."
Xiran paused and an amusing smile adorned his sultry lips as he spoke again:
"She is going to test you for sure. Aselia is too smart, so go prepared Frila or she will see right through you. Don’t forget she doesn’t have memories of becoming friendly with vampires. So she might be little hostile, keep your cool if she tries to rile you up because believe me, she will if she discovered you are a vampire."
Xiran’s advice was a genuine one and Frila knew meeting Aselia will be a mammoth task.
"I know Señor, I will try to do my best."
"Don’t forget to disguise yourself when you leave from here so no one follows you," he gave one final instruction.
"I will make sure of that. Leave everything to me," Frila curtly nodded before taking her leave, while Xiran sat there with a satisfied smile. This would be interesting to see how Aselia will receive Frila without having any prior memories of her.
Frila made the necessary arrangements and informed Yurian that she will be visiting them next week. By then she learnt everything she could on video games as she had zero interest in them.
Xiran gave her a big chocolate box for Aselia while Frila got some latest games and consoles for Yurian with the help of Rumail and Zir. Everyone was excited for her to visit Aselia and Yurian and wished her luck.
Frila chose a simple floral dress for her visit to Lahoire City, she kept her hair open and did slight makeup. She could sense a hint of excitement in her heart not only for meeting Aselia but also Yurian.
Arriving at the airport near the Lahoire city she stepped outside into the lobby to find Yurian waiting for her, looking all dapper in a black jeans and white t-shirt. His silky hair were partly sided and fell to his shoulders and a light brown sunglasses covered his almond eyes while a hearty smile lit up his face.
Seeing him standing there, Frila waved at him and he waved back.
Mesmerised by her beauty his eyes were glued to her and he couldn’t keep that warm smile away from his face.
She made her way to him with her suitcase and Yurian took it from her before they shook hands.
"Welcome Frila! I hope you had a pleasant journey," they began to walk out.
"Thank you Yurian, I did and I am so glad to meet you," her cheeks slightly tinged the shade of crimson. Yurian was even more handsome and charming than she remembered.
"It’s my pleasure and sorry I couldn’t convince Aselia to drop the idea. You know how she is and I find it hard to say no to her," Yurian explained as they reached his car and he opened the door for Frila so she could sit in the passenger seat.
Once they were settled Yurian started the car and they headed for Lahoire. Aselia had told him she will meet them at the restaurant they had decided to have lunch at.
"Don’t worry about it, I have come prepared."
Frila reassured him with a hint of smile that made her face blossom like a morning flower.
