Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 319: Meeting Between Two Old Friends
Reaching the restaurant Yurian led Frila inside. A waiter showed them to their table and they settled down. Aselia had asked Jaguar to give her a lift to the restaurant, she was still forbidden from riding her bike.
"Thanks," Aselia said as she dismounted the bike and took off the helmet and handed it back to him.
"So are we on for tonight?" he inquired with a slight tilt of his head.
"I will let you know, maybe I won’t be free. But if I am, will call you."
Jaguar wanted to take her on a long drive as she loved them but she was uncertain of the time she was about to spend with this new guest.
"I will wait," Jaguar winked at her and starting the bike, left. Aselia headed inside the restaurant.
Spotting Yurian sitting with a beautiful girl with slightly curly hair she smiled and made her way to them. Both of them were having drinks.
Frila had seen Aselia walking confidently towards them in jeans and a sky-blue top. Her head and ears were completely covered with a red bandana. A bright tattoo of two white wings adorned her slender neck.
Frila quickly fished inside her bag and placed the call to Xiran and placed her bag aside. There was this sadness that had descended in her heart seeing Aselia and remembering all the past events that led to this moment. How she wanted to just get up and hug her.
"Hello!" Aselia greeted them as she drew near and the Frila quickly stood up from her seat. She had the brightest smile which seemed to extend to her mesmerizing blue eyes. Everything about her appeared calm and soothing to Aselia.
"Hi!" she offered Aselia her hand which she shook firmly and returned her smile.
"Frila! This is my partner and sister, Leia," Yurian pointed to Aselia and continued:
"Partner! This is Frila, she is a friend," Yurian introduced them to each other pointing with his hands. His awkwardness was written all over his face and Aselia had to stifle a giggle.
"It’s good to meet you, Leia, Yurian talks a lot about you," Frila added as they all settled down. Her heart was happy seeing her friend but at the same time, she wanted to hug her and cry and tell her about Carios too.
"Well, he never talks about you with me. I accidentally discovered he has a female friend," Aselia sent a small glare his way and Yurian nervously chuckled knowing this conversation was about to hit a new level of awkwardness.
He diverted his attention to the waiter so they could order some food.
"We both are shy and really just friends so maybe that’s why Yurian wasn’t able to tell you about me," Frila smoothly replied, her bright smile never faltering as she sipped on the blue drink in front of her.
"Still, I share everything with him so it disappointed me. I wanted to meet you and see why was he so reluctant on keeping you hidden," Aselia as usual had no filters on her mouth and she spoke her mind making both Yurian and Frila, blush a little.
"She is here now partner, not hidden anymore," Yurian tried to ease the apprehension in Aselia’s words, knowing she will never let this go.
"No thanks to you though. So Frila how did both of you meet?" Aselia kept her attention on Frila, keenly observing her, trying to understand if she was genuinely sweet or putting up an act.
"Yurian had a mission in our city and he saved me and my store from a bunch of rogues and hooligans. I owe him my life and we became friends afterwards," Frila glanced at Yurian who slightly coughed to hide his real reaction to the lies they were telling Aselia.
"Oh! Yes, Yurian told me you own a video game store. Must be exciting," Aselia picked up the menu to choose what to order.
"It is, which reminds me of I brought something for you guys," reaching into her bag she dished out the two gift boxes. One blue the other emerald green. She glanced at the phone and her call had been picked up, he was hearing their conversation. She smiled in satisfaction.
"Here," she offered the blue box to Yurian and the emerald one to Aselia. Xiran had handed her the emerald box to be given to Aselia.
"For me?" Aselia was utterly surprised. She didn’t expect this girl whom she had never met before or didn’t know to bring her a gift.
"Yes, I was bringing some new games and consoles for Yurian so I grabbed a chocolate box for you. All girls love chocolates so I thought you will too," she calmly answered.
"Truer words can’t be spoken," Aselia accepted her gift and murmured, "Thank you, you didn’t have to."
Now she needed to get something for the girl, she hadn’t expected her to bring her a gift and it seemed odd to send her back empty-handed.
"Thanks, Frila, these are all new volumes. You are a lifesaver," Yurian exclaimed opening his box and retrieving the new games and consoles.
"Yes, I knew you will love them," and they began discussing the latest video games that had been launched. Aselia watched them with a satisfied smile.
Soon their food arrived and the three of them began to eat when Aselia asked her: "So Frila, where do you live?" Frila exchanged a quick glance with Yurian. They had discussed that they will tell her the truth.
Her movements were already restricted, it wasn’t like she will be able to go there.
"Fritez City," she slowly answered.
"Oh! Isn’t that the city which was attacked about nine months ago and went through severe damage? How is the rehabilitation process going?" Aselia experienced a sharp tingle in her heart at the mention of that city.
"Yes, the process went smoother than we had imagined. We are back on our feet," Frila ate a spoonful of rice but her eyes stayed on Aselia; who appeared to be lost in some deep thought.
"I see. I always wanted to visit that city. I have heard it has the greenest of the seas but hunters were not allowed there last I remembered. Yurian told me things have changed." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Her words were being heard thousands of miles away by Xiran, his eyes closed as he listened to her voice after about nine months. It soothed his aching heart in ways only she could do.
