Chapter 330: Why Are You Here?

Yurian crossed his arms and stared at Xiran with his nose flared nose and taut jaw. He couldn’t believe that he would do something as stupid as coming here and jeopardising everything they had done so far.

"Are you out of your freaking mind? The whole point of doing all this was to keep you and her apart," Yurian hissed at him again, keeping his voice low, seeing him stand quietly in front without saying a word.

"Sorry!" he mumbled apologetically, "can we talk?" Seeing Yurian’s scowling face he added:

"Please!"

Shaking his head Yurian proceeded to the door and locked it so Aselia won’t come inside even by accident and strolled back to him.

"Sit and you better have a compelling justification for your presence here," he ordered with a glare and Xiran couldn’t help but suppress his laughter seeing him act all bossy. He sat down on the armchair.

"I do, so hear me out," Yurian settled beside him on the armchair. He still couldn’t believe Xiran would put Aselia’s safety on the line like that. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"Tell me."

"As you might be aware your organization has prepared a serum strong enough which can subdue the powers of an original born vampire. They tested it on Amonidus and he lost his power and strength for more than half an hour," Xiran provided him with the details Aldridge had shared with him. This was a bit surprising for Yurian as this particular information had not been communicated to him.

Yurian answered: "I wasn’t aware of this. When did this happen?"

"Last month and Aldridge only told me. They don’t want the news to spread for now. So I have decided to make a move against my father and end his tyranny once and for all," Xiran’s words stunned Yurian for a while, it was difficult to imagine that he was going up against his father.

"When?" Yurian observed how serious Xiran had gotten as he revealed the plan to him.

"Day after tomorrow. I have decided that I won’t let him escape. Only one of us will emerge victorious. Either I will kill him or I will die trying," his stormy eyes brimmed with determination. The tension rippled all around them. And although Yurian had been really pissed at Xiran he had always admired him.

"That’s why you are here? You wanted to see her one last time, in case..." he left the words dangling.

"Yes! In case I don’t make it back I wished to have fresh memories of her. She is my lifeline, only wanted to be near her tonight, to be able to see her just one more time," the pain in his words could be seen radiating on his face, and the light in his eyes had dimmed.

Yurian sighed seeing him like that, all miserable. First, he had to handle Aselia and now, him.

"Ok, so what’s the plan? She doesn’t remember you and you can’t just barge into her room like that. How are you going to do this?" Yurian was in a lot of doubt.

"Rumail has given me this strong drink he makes, since vampires don’t get drunk easily it works like magic. And once you wake up in the morning, you don’t remember the events of last night," Xiran took out a small bottle from his pocket and handed it to Yurian.

"Understood. I will mix it in her beer and get her drunk then you can go see her," taking it Yurian proceeded to his room fridge and took out two bottles of beer and began to add the drink into one. He asked:

"By the way, how did you find my house?"

"I have my ways but don’t worry I ensured I wasn’t followed. I sent three more men of the same height and the same hair, wearing masks to different cities. Anyone following or keeping tabs would have gone in the wrong direction," Xiran puffed up his muscular chest, seeming proud of himself.

"I hope so or everything we have done so far will be fruitless," Yurian had emptied the small bottle in beer bottle by then, "wait for me," Xiran nodded, his heart palpitating in anticipation.

He took out his phone and began to check his texts. Rumail had inserted some special chip in his phone so it couldn’t be hacked or traced.

An hour passed when the door opened and Yurian stepped inside with two empty beer bottles in hand and a sly smile on his face.

"She is heavily drunk and will be out cold soon. I have locked Rony outside too so he won’t bark seeing you. You can go to her now because she could hardly recognize me. Her room is on the left and my parents have already gone to bed so no one will see you," he threw the empty bottles in the trash can while Xiran stood up and pocketed his phone.

"Yurian! I can never repay you for everything you have done for her. I promise this is the last time she has gotten hurt because of me, once my father is gone I will restore her memories," he placed one hand on Yurian’s shoulder and patted. Yurian slightly chuckled.

"Well! She has made a whole new life here and not only do I consider her as my sister, but my parents also take her as their daughter. So make the right choices or you will have to deal with the whole family."

His words didn’t anger Xiran instead they fulfilled him. Now he knew she was part of a family and even if he won’t return, she will have a safe place to live among the people who loved her dearly.

"I am glad to hear that she has found a family. She deserved it more than anyone," Xiran offered the younger boy a satisfied smile and headed for his destination.

"Good luck with her and for your battle against your father. I hope you emerge victorious and I believe you will," Yurian calmly added without any hint of resentment and Xiran simply nodded before opening the door and exiting it.

Xiran walked and stood outside hers and collected his thoughts. His hand on the doorknob was shaking with nervousness and his temples had beads of precipitation forming. He was about to hold her after a long long time and this moment was going to be so precious for him.

Turning the knob he slowly opened the door and peeked inside.
