Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 334: Attack Against Phantom
Xiran had returned after visiting Aselia, and not only was he in high spirits but also ecstatic. He hadn’t imagined that he would have an actual conversation with her. He had only dreamt of seeing her from a distance.
Her sleeping pristine face was still fresh in his mind when he was about to leave and he had opened his wings and covered her with them. The peace on her face was priceless when she snuggled with them.
Although his heart was content it was restless at the same time, he wanted to hold her in his arms again as soon as possible.
Xiran smiled and opened the door to Mazitine’s conference room. It was bustling with activity. Everyone he needed had arrived, he entered and closed the door behind him before facing them. A hushed silence fell over the room as all eyes darted towards him.
He stood with his hands in his pockets and a face which reflected sheer determination.
"Are you all ready to do this?" he asked with an unwavering conviction.
"Yes!" they chorused. With the final few touches to the plan, everyone was ready to head out.
Amoris had provided them with the intel on which facilities to attack. Where his dad resided the most. The ones where operations were being conducted and the ones where elves were being kept captives.
"Rivan! City is in your hands. Keep it safe," Xiran hugged his best friend who patted him on his back.
"Be safe and return home," Rivan’s voice held a tinge of sadness to it.
"I will, with his head," he gave one last nod to his friend as they moved out.
Xiran had made small teams. Hunters were paired with vampires, and everyone was given weapons, power subduing serums, scent masking serums, smoke bombs, masks and other necessary equipment.
Prince Casmian had sent over a few of his trained men to take part in this covert mission. Although he had offered to come, Xiran had refused. He wanted this battle to be only between him and his father. The reason he wasn’t even letting Amonidus tag along as well.
Silver Wolf had arrived too and was paired with Agent 93. Rumail was going to be their man behind the screen. Providing them with intel from outside.
Everything was in order as they moved out. A few at a time so as not to bring suspicion. And had planned to gather outside the facilities they were supposed to attack.
Xiran, Silver and Agent 93 were headed to the facility where Phantom was currently residing along with 50 other hunters and vampires. A few other teams were headed out to different facilities. Their attacks will be synchronized, leaving no room for the enemy to be alerted or escape.
It was a moonless night when they crossed the border to Anthos and spread out. Xiran left the car and decided to fly, he wanted an overview.
"I will meet you guys there, ditch the cars at least one kilometre away from the facility and reach there by foot. I will disable the cameras," he instructed Silver and Agent 93.
"We will see you there," Silver answered and rolled up the window, as Agent 93 drove away and Xiran flew towards the sky.
His mind was racing at a million-a-mile speed, as he went over the plan again and again. The day he had waited so patiently for almost half a century was finally here, the day he was making a move against his father.
Memories of his mother and his tortured childhood swirled in his mind and any doubts that remained instantly vanished. Today was the day he was about to kill his father, today was about slaying a monster who had wrecked his life in the worst imaginable ways.
Soon the dome-shaped facility came into view and he swiftly landed, away from the reach of cameras. Folding his wings he took out the small rectangular device Rumail had given him and activated it before stealthily approaching the building.
He then called and confirmed the time from Silver who informed him that they will be there in about 5 minutes and so will the rest of their teams. Some had already started to arrive, Xiran could see them in the distance, gathering and taking their position.
Setting the timer to 5 minutes Xiran hid the device under a bush and waited for his companions. In about 5 minutes the device will send out a wavelength which will infer with cameras and they would be shut down. This will give them a window of about one minute to enter the facility before the enemy will be alerted.
Meanwhile, they would hit them with full force. As soon as everyone had gathered and taken their positions. Silver and Agent 93 arrived shortly and joined them.
Reaching into his bag Silver took out a detonator to blow up the main door while other hunters held smoke bombs. All vampires took out their specially assigned masks and donned them, Xiran included.
The five minutes were up and Xiran signalled all of them to attack. With cameras turned off the hunters threw smoke bombs to deal with the guards posted outside. Once they were dealt with they moved further in and reaching the main gate Silver set the detonator and blew it off.
~Boom~
The loud sound echoed far and wide, the explosion left a gaping hole where the door used to be, they had to move fast now the enemy had been alerted.
"Secure the facility, kill the enemy and rescue all the captured elves and other species. I am going to look for my father," the frostiness in his voice was evident and there was this vacant stare in his eyes as he gave his final instructions and stepped inside the facility, looking for his father.
Amoris had provided him with some details of the facility and he was easily able to navigate his way. The serum was securely tugged away in his pocket with a syringe attached. He only needed to find his father, who would be on high alert hearing the explosion.
He met several of his father’s men and creatures as he moved further inside the labyrinth-styled facility, and tore all of them apart with a blank expression. His hands and face were soon soaking carmine. Dressed in all black he had to be the devil today.
He could sense and hear the battle that had ensued outside and inside for several small explosions and deafening shouts could be heard all around. But Xiran kept moving forward. His eyes darted and kept a strict check on his surroundings. Red sirens were blaring on all floors now, indicating an enemy attack.
Crossing several corridors and levels he arrived at the third floor, according to intel from Amoris and Irlana his office was located on this very floor. He began to throw open every door. A lot of rooms were empty, few had people like doctors and other staff hiding in them.
Xiran entered one of the rooms which had several doctors cowering in the corner. His face contorted in disgust, he approached them and grabbed one by the collar before lifting him in the air. The others cried out and scuttled further away from his reach.
The one he had picked up was trembling like a wet dog in winter. Looking at Xiran who was covered in blood and the gruesome insides of several species, he began to stutter in a trembling voice:
"P...please let me g...go. I am just a d...doctor," his lips quivered and pupils dilated as he clasped his hands together.
"Where is he?" Xiran’s voice thundered loud and clear as he shook him like a stuffed toy.
"I don’t know, I...have been w...working here all day," he whimpered.
"Where is his office?"
"One right and two left, there is a dark brown wooden door," the man was about sh*t his pant for he knew he was dead either way. Xiran threw him down and giving them one final derisive look, exited the room and headed in the direction of his office.
As he neared, he found several creatures guarding it. Xiran smirked and opened his wings and flew directly towards them, colliding with two of them he popped their heads off as if unscrewing the shaken cola bottles. Blood churned out and flowed down their lifeless bodies.
None of them stood a chance against him for he was determined to put an end to these bloody wars today. Once he was done with all the creatures guarding the door and heaped up their bodies at the side. He wiped his hands on his clothes and adjusted his hair, some of them had come loose from the tight man bun he had on his head.
Standing in front of the door he threw it open with his kick, removing it from its hinges. He stepped inside the office of his father in all his glory, gory and bloodied.
"Hello! Son. Seems like you grew balls enough to finally come after me," came the smooth yet cold voice of his father which was enough to chill anyone on the spot.
