Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 336: Sister or Father?
Xiran grabbed his father and shoved him against the wall. He tried to shove Xiran off but having lost all his vampiric strength, not an inch of Xiran budged as he menacingly held his father in a tight grip.
A triumphant smile broke on Xiran’s face, he finally had him under his hold. But before he could speak the elven girl shrieked and got up from the floor. Her eyes were transfixed on Agent 93.
"Zirius!" his name came tumbling out of her quivering lips and she ran to him, who was standing in the doorway holding the automatic bow with which he had just shot Phantom. His eyes widened and the bow dropped and clattered to the ground. He opened his arms to receive her.
"Arimie!" he whispered as she ran into his embrace and began to sob, tears flowed freely in abundance.
"I got you, Ari," he whispered so lovingly pulling her even close. The anguish was visible in his ever-smiling face as his eyes found Phantom’s and reflected the sheer hate he held for the man. If only eyes could kill, Phantom would have died a million deaths.
The shocking turn of events had Xiran rooted to his spot, as he watched them with a slightly ajar mouth. He couldn’t even imagine what his father had done to the poor girl, who was barely hanging on. His grip tightened on his father’s neck and he began to choke him with a newfound strength and hatred.
"Zir, take her and go. I will finish what I have started so we can all live in peace," Xiran nodded his head at Agent 93.
Zirius threw one last loathing stare at Phantom and said before leaving:
"I hope you rot in the deepest parts of hell, may Señor give you a slow merciless death and you go through all the pain you have put my Ari through," he then took Arimie and left the office with broken furniture and tormented souls.
"S...so that’s how it’s going to b...be?" Phantom scoffed at Xiran who was still choking him. And Xiran picked him up before thrashing him down on the ground, a small growl of pain escaped his father’s throat as Xiran continuously repeated the action and spat:
"That’s for Mom! You monster."
He was blinded by rage and all he wanted to do was inflict as much pain on his father as he had done on him and his loved ones. And once he had broken enough bones he was ready for the final step, to wrench his heart out and squash it in his hands.
"I know you don’t believe it but I loved your mother," Phantom coughed up blood as he uttered these words making Xiran even more furious than he already was.
"You don’t even know what love is. You sorry excuse of a vampire. Don’t bloody talk about her from your filthy mouth," Xiran’s venomous words seemed to affect him. He dug his nails deep into his father’s throat drawing out more blood and making him writhe in pain against his hold.
"All monsters are not born Xiran, some are created, like me. But you won’t understand son," a wounded smile he offered Xiran, his eyes holding his truth.
"Stop calling me your son and you think I can ever feel pity for you?" Xiran asked, his body shaking from the bouts of anger he was experiencing. His nose was flared and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold on.
"You can’t deny who you are and where you come from. Just like me. One day you might come to realise that my reasons were right," the ever-icy eyes held emotions Xiran had never seen before. He never thought his father was capable of showing sentiments.
"Enough. I have heard enough," with that Xiran’s hand moved to his father’s chest. When someone entered the room and shouted:
"Stop!" Xiran’s head jerked towards the sound.
It was Xifin and he was holding Irlana in a chokehold and stood behind her so both of them faced Xiran and Phantom. The silver-haired vampire stiffened and his hand halted midair.
Irlana seemed scared out of her wits and Xiran understood the reason his father was stalling for time. He must have informed Xifin to fetch her to be used as leverage.
"Let Father go or I will snap sister dear’s pretty neck," Xifin threatened holding a malicious intent. Tears ran down Irlana’s soft features. Xiran growled at Xifin.
"You have become as shameless as father. She is our sister and instead of protecting her you are siding with this a**hole?"
"I don’t care about her or you. I only care about my father, he is my only family. So let him go and let us walk away or she will die and her blood will be on your hands," he tightened his grip around Irlana’s throat cutting her air supply. She began to gasp for air as her sad eyes met Xiran’s as if apologising.
"Let her go, you are hurting her," Xiran yelled seeing his sister in pain. His heart resonated in despair and agony.
"And you are hurting my father," Xifin replied with a pained expression, his eyes roaming between his father and brother.
"Listen to your brother, Xiran. I know you don’t want your sister dead," Phantom interjected a lazy smirk glided on his face as if taunting Xiran.
"D...don’t w...worry about m...me," Irlana’s small voice sounded, she was still being choked and Xiran knew he didn’t have much time. He had to make a choice. Either to kill his father and lose his sister as well or to let him go so he could save her.
Xiran knew letting him go now will push him back to square one. He wouldn’t have the advantage of a surprise attack anymore and his father already knew that they had a serum which could rob him of his powers for a longer period.
He let out a frustrated growl before picking his father up and hurling him towards the opposite wall with as much hate as his heart could hold. This was his chance to get Aselia back but everything blew up last minute.
Xifin threw Irlana on the ground and picking his father up exited the place within a fraction of a second before Xiran could capture them. Irlana hit her head and lost consciousness.
He ran to her and collected her in his arms and pressed the big gash that had appeared on her head. Trying to stop the bleeding as his own heart bled for he had lost the chance to kill his father.
He hugged her close and tears trickled down his face.
