Chapter 264: Everyone’s Shock! Unleashing immense power upon the Leader
"Alright. That’s enough." Caelus’s voice cut through the square.
Everyone turned toward him. Most of the Red Cool Dragon Town players frowned because they didn’t recognize him at all.
"Who is this guy?"
A member of the Red Cool Dragon sneered and raised his voice mockingly. "What? Is he some ally of justice who came to save poor Mason?"
Several players laughed at the joke hearing it.
Jason, the long-haired man wearing sunglasses, didn’t immediately speak; he studied Caelus with curiosity.
Most people would have run away the moment they saw how many Red Cool Dragon players were present, yet this stranger walked directly into the square without hesitation.
Caelus didn’t respond to the mockery of the members. Instead, without saying a word, he extended his left hand toward the player who insulted him.
Golden Aura gathered around his palm. Within seconds, the energy formed into a massive draconic claw that shot across the square, grabbed the player, and crushed him before anyone could react.
The player collapsed with broken bones and disappeared into particles of light.
Everyone became silent seeing this.
Everything happened so fast, they had a hard time taking it all in.
A Red Dragon Town member’s face went pale. "No way..."
Another player stammered. "Yamal had a Combat Score of 30!"
"How did he defeat him that easily?"
Jason slowly stood and removed his foot from Mason’s back.
He looked more interested than angry seeing this.
"Oh?"
"You dare attack someone from my group while standing on my turf?"
Caelus chuckled. "Your turf?"
"I don’t see your name written on it, buddy."
"I can take this town for myself and no one will say anything."
Jason laughed and shook his head hearing him. "You’re cocky. I’ve met plenty of people with your personality. I don’t particularly dislike that. In fact, I like people with that personality."
"Killing someone immediately is boring." Jason’s smile became twisted. "It’s much more satisfying to take everything they care about first, and seeing their cockiness leaving them gives me pleasure far more than anything in this world can give."
Caelus stared at him with a deadpan expression, baffled. "You must watch a lot of edgy anime."
Several players became speechless hearing his reply.
Who replied like this?
Jason’s smile disappeared the instant Caelus spoke.
"You talk too much."
Jason’s gaze then shifted past Caelus. He noticed Sylvia standing quietly behind him.
He looked her over deliberately before smirking. "Is that your girlfriend?"
"She’s pretty." Jason’s tone became deliberately mocking. "Maybe after breaking every bone in your body, I’ll take her for myself."
Caelus’s expression slowly became cold the instant he heard Jason’s words. The relaxed attitude he had maintained since entering the square vanished completely.
"You think you can break my bones?" His voice boomed.
A cold smirk formed on Caelus’s face. "Try."
BOOM!
The following instant, Caelus activated Ancient Dragon God for the first time in actual combat.
The entire square trembled violently beneath his feet.
Golden Aura erupted from his body while his eyes glowed with draconic light. The enormous manifestation of the Ancient Dragon God rose behind him, towering above every building in the square.
Two straight golden energy horns formed above Caelus’s head. The pressure of his Fighting Spirit spread throughout the square like a tidal wave.
Weaker players instinctively knelt to the ground from its aura.
Some struggled to breathe beneath the overwhelming pressure.
A guy stumbled backward and fell. "What... what is that?"
"I can’t move!"
"This presence is incomprehensible!"
Mason stared at Caelus in complete disbelief.
He had known Caelus to be just some player who would come to spin on the wheel to try his luck, but he never imagined someone could release this kind of power.
His worldview had shattered.
Jason’s confident expression finally changed.
His eyes widened slightly behind his sunglasses.
"This presence... Is the legendary fighting spirit?"
However, Jason recovered quickly from his surprise.
He raised both hands and activated Abyssal Water Prison, one of his signature skills.
He knew not to waste time.
He must kill!
A massive amount of water erupted from the ground around Caelus.
The water compressed violently and trapped him inside a massive sphere of churning and turbulent water.
Red Cool Dragon players immediately regained their confidence seeing it.
"Jason’s got him now!"
"That skill has never failed before."
"Nobody escapes the Water Prison once it traps them. It’s extremely hard to break through."
Jason summoned Hellfire Serpent, another one of his skills, as a massive serpent made from crimson flames materialized above him, writhing violently as heat radiated throughout the square.
The serpent roared and charged directly into the Water Prison. The collision between fire and water created a violent steam explosion that covered the entire square.
Boom!
Everyone shielded their faces from the blast.
The shockwave shattered nearby windows and sent debris flying through the air.
"That attack can kill a Level 20 player instantly!"
"There’s no way he survived that."
The steam slowly cleared.
However, Caelus was standing in the exact same location as before.
A massive golden dragon wing formed from Aura was wrapped protectively around his body.
The wing slowly unfurled, revealing Caelus completely unharmed beneath it.
He brushed some dust off his sleeve casually. "Was that supposed to hurt?"
The surrounding players reacted immediately.
"He blocked Jason’s combination attack with one ability?"
"That’s impossible!"
"What kind of power does this guy have?"
Jason became genuinely shocked this time.
He had used this combination to defeat multiple strong players before, yet Caelus blocked both abilities with a single manifestation of his Fighting Spirit.
His confidence began visibly cracking after.
"Who the hell are you? How do you have the legendary fighting spirit?!"
Caelus didn’t answer.
He decided this was the perfect opportunity to experiment with the Ancient Dragon God during actual combat.
He extended his hand forward.
The Ancient Dragon God behind him performed the exact same movement.
A gigantic golden dragon hand formed above Jason.
The sheer size of the manifestation made several players gasp in shock.
Jason immediately created several compressed Water Walls as the dragon hand descended with overwhelming force.
BANG!
Every Water Wall shattered instantly like glass. Jason barely escaped by creating a burst of water beneath his feet that propelled him away.
Caelus realized he could freely manifest individual body parts of the Ancient Dragon God.
He created another dragon hand and attacked from the opposite direction.
Jason was forced to continuously dodge while the enormous golden hands destroyed buildings and the dirt road around him.
This fight was looking more like a cat toying with a rat than actual combat.
Jason immediately became furious at being treated like a training dummy.
He activated Elemental Overdrive. His Best Skill, something that had allowed him to win all his battles till now.
Water and flames violently erupted around his body.
His Combat Score rapidly increased immediately.
"Now you’ll see what I’m really capable of!"
Jason attacked Caelus directly.
He created several Hellfire Serpents while launching compressed water blades, which were all small miniature water prisons, from every direction.
The attacks came fast and aggressive. Fire and water clashed repeatedly as the battlefield became chaotic.
Several Red Dragon Town players watched with renewed hope. "That’s more like it!"
"Jason’s going all out now!"
"There’s no way that guy can handle this many attacks at once."
Caelus began walking toward Jason. He didn’t rush or show any urgency.
A golden dragon hand crushed the first Hellfire Serpent effortlessly. Another dragon hand blocked the water blades before they reached him.
Caelus swung Ruyi Jingu Bang and cut through the second Hellfire Serpent in one clean motion, and he then leaned in more and swiped up, tearing open a wound around Jason’s arm.
Chaos Erosion spread through the wound created by Origin Sever and began rapidly weakening Jason’s summoned creature until it collapsed and disappeared.
Jason launched more attacks desperately.
Ancient Dragon God manifested golden claws around Caelus to destroy every single attack before they reached him.
The image was overwhelming.
Caelus continued approaching while Jason desperately used more and more skills.
The surrounding players gradually became silent.
Jason checked Caelus’s Combat Score during the fight, and much to his surprise, it gave him an error.
"What the hell are you?" He asked in utter confusion and frustration.
Caelus didn’t answer.
He continued walking forward step by step with a smirk slowly forming on his face.
Jason finally began retreating at the same speed Caelus walked forward.
His expression showed genuine fear for the first time.
Everyone watching realized Jason was afraid. The strongest player, their leader in the Red Cool Dragon Group, was backing away from a complete stranger.
Jason launched his Water Prison once more. The sphere was several times larger than before thanks to Elemental Overdrive, compressing violently with enough force to crush stone.
Caelus raised his Ruyi Jingu Bang as he slashed once.
Swoosh!
The entire Water Prison split apart cleanly.
Jason’s HP, MP, and Stamina were continuously decreasing. His Elemental Overdrive had also started weakening rapidly with each passing second.
His buffs were being shredded away one by one. At the same time, Caelus randomly recovered HP because of Chaos Erosion’s new Healing Attribute.
Jason could not grasp the situation anymore. "This doesn’t make sense!"
Jason desperately summoned a Hellfire Serpent. The serpent towered above the small buildings of Leaf Town, its flames burning so hot that nearby players began taking passive damage.
Players began fleeing from the square in panic. "Run!"
"That thing is going to destroy us."
Caelus finally stopped walking seeing this.
He looked upward calmly.
"Interesting."
As soon as he said that, the Ancient Dragon God behind him opened its eyes fully.
The golden glow intensified as the manifestation became even more solid.
Caelus raised one hand to the sky at a 30-degree angle.
The following instant, the Ancient Dragon God shot forward like a rocket with its claws out.
The claw reached down and grabbed the serpent tightly. Jason poured all of his remaining MP into the ability, desperately trying to break free.
However, Caelus simply closed his hand.
The Ancient Dragon God’s claw closed at the exact same time.
BOOM!
The Hellfire Serpent was crushed and exploded violently inside the dragon’s palm. Flames erupted in every direction, but the fighting spirit emerged from the explosion completely unharmed and continued descending.
Jason looked up in disbelief. "No...!"
The claw slammed him into the ground with overwhelming force. The impact created a small crater in the center of the square.
Dust and debris flew everywhere. The shockwave knocked several players off their feet immediately.
For a second, silence covered the town square.
The Red Cool Dragon Group players stared at the enormous crater in shock.
Jason was lying at the center, severely injured and unable to move. His HP bar was nearly empty.
"Jason... lost?"
"He’s one of the strongest players in Red Dragon Town."
Another player’s face went pale. "That guy never even looked like he was fighting seriously."
Mason stared at Caelus with complete disbelief. The difference between Caelus and Jason was far greater than he ever expected.
Caelus stood at the edge of the crater completely unharmed.
His clothes weren’t even badly damaged.
Ancient Dragon God remained towering behind him, its golden form radiating power. The two straight horns above Caelus’s head glowed brightly as he stared down.
Caelus looked down at Jason, who was riddled with wounds, with a small smile. "You said you were going to break every bone in my body. Why are you lying down there?"
Jason didn’t respond because before he could reply, he lost consciousness.
Caelus snapped his fingers, and at his command, the dragon’s claw pierced through him completely, killing him.
Caelus then dismissed the Ancient Dragon God. The golden manifestation faded away as the pressure in the square disappeared.
He turned and began walking toward the floating Easter Egg. Every Red Dragon Town player instinctively moved out of his way.
Sylvia followed behind him with a completely satisfied smile.
Nobody dared to look at her with any other thoughts anymore.
