Chapter 3608: Red Garnet Alchemy Hall

The Red Garnet Alchemy Hall was a massive pavilion with multiple buildings that towered over the entire district, guarded by experts whose aura alone made even the stronger cultivators think twice about how they wished to act in the area. Separated into five stories, cultivators flew in and out of every single floor, creating a constant influx of cultivators.

Greensoul stopped before the hall and gestured toward it.

"This is one of the biggest alchemy stores, if not the biggest one, outside of the Medicine World. The person who established this store is a brilliant alchemist himself and an acquaintance of mine. I can promise you that you will find everything you want right here."

Alex and Ronron couldn’t help but gawk at the massive store that could better be recognized as a palace itself.

It wasn’t larger than Silvermist’s ostentatious alchemy court, but that was partly a store and partly a sect. This, however, was entirely just a store.

"This should do, right father?" Ronron asked, looking toward him.

Alex nodded. "It most definitely should. Let us head in and see how things go."

Greensoul allowed the two of them to walk in first, with him following a step behind. He remained close enough to protect them, and yet far enough that no one could tell that they were together.

Walking into the alchemy pavilion that seemed to be decorated mostly with red furniture and ruby-like crystals, the two came across a massive plaque at the front of the store.

Upon the plaque, Alex could read the purpose of each of the 5 floors.

The very bottom floor was entirely dedicated to selling pills, ingredients, as well as hiring alchemists for people who wished to buy Common to Saint rank pills.

For anything above that, one had to head to the upper floors.

On the second floor, one could purchase Immortal ingredients. On the third floor, one could purchase various pills, or find alchemists who would be willing to make pills for them.

The fourth and fifth floors were the same, but for Divine rank ingredients and pills.

Alex could see that there was nothing for a Celestial to purchase in this place, but he supposed that made sense. Just who out there was strong enough to make pills for Celestials?

Even the greatest currently living alchemist, the Alchemy God himself, could not make pills for Celestials, so it was only right that he did not expect the people of this alchemy pavilion to be able to make any.

"Do we need anything for grandpa?" Ronron asked. "If so, we can buy some on the first floor."

Alex shook his head. "He is close to breaking through to the next realm at this point. The only pills that will do anything to him are Immortal pills now. Let’s just head over to the 2nd floor."

Saying as much, Alex flew up to the second floor, landing on a grand entryway with several guards standing right outside the gate.

Ronron landed next to Alex, and together they walked into the store.

The entire floor was constructed with polished white stone and red spiritual wood with golden tiles lining the ceiling. Massive incense burners were placed around the room, filling the entire room with a magnificent smell.

As soon as Alex took in the scent, his body acted almost immediately, purging it out of his system. Sensing as much, Alex couldn’t help but be surprised. He stood near the entryway for a few seconds and took in deep breaths.

He smelled the scent and slowly determined what ingredients were being burned through the incense. It was difficult to tell all the ingredients, but he found one primary ingredient that lulled the mind of anyone who smelled its aura.

He couldn’t help but smile a little. The smoke wasn’t harmful to the person at all. It simply made them susceptible to suggestions. The staff most likely knew this and used it to their advantage to sell more things.

It certainly wouldn’t change the mind of anyone who wasn’t willing to do so in the first place, but anyone who was on the fence with their decisions would be brought over to their side.

Alex leaned toward Ronron. "Try not to breathe in the smoke too much."

Ronron smiled. "That’s fine, father. Weak toxins are repelled by my artifact."

Alex raised his eyebrows. He wondered what other artifact she was using other than the one on her hair that was disguising her.

There weren’t nearly enough staff to get to everyone at all times, so Alex had to wait around for a few minutes before someone came over to him.

The staff who came wore a bright robe that was part red and part white. It was a man, but with long hair and a feminine face, Alex nearly didn’t realize his gender.

"Welcome to the Red Garnet Alchemy Pavilion. I am Xin Mashung, how may I be of assistance today?" the man asked.

"We’re looking for some ingredients to purchase. Could you help us with that?"

The man smiled. "Of course. May I ask what you’re looking for? If you aren’t sure, we can assist you in finding the right ingredients for pills you’re hoping to make as well."

Alex shook his head slightly. "That’s fine. I already have the ingredients in mind." He reached into his Soul Space and brought out a talisman. He went through the list within the talisman for a quick second before nodding to himself. Then, he handed it over to the staff.

"These are the ingredients I’m looking for."

The staff took the talisman and looked inside. The moment he did, his eyes widened massively in shock. "So many!" he said in surprise. It wasn’t uncommon for someone to want to buy a lot of ingredients from them. But the ’lot’ tended to always be in regards to the number of ingredients and rarely their variety.

In the case of Alex, it was just all about variety. Alex seemed to want to buy no more than 3 ingredients of each type, but at the same time, he wished to purchase over 500 different varieties of ingredients.

That was simply an absurd request.
