Eternal Emerald Dragon
Chapter 1818 - 1817 - Changes External and Internal
Lind emerged from his courtyard and frowned as his Eyes noticed damage to the underlying structures. It seemed his barriers had not held back everything from his attempt to spy on the original Bastard.
He carefully ensured its limits and it was only the direct contact with his outer walls. He quickly repaired it while examining the rest of the Blessed Crimson Range.
His gentle aura did not go unnoticed. He smiled as small children waved up at the sky and he ensured they and their families were healthy. Divine Qi made disease unlikely but injury was a different matter.
He felt their gratitude and no major issue stuck out. That was expected as his family managed the range very well. Qing was like him and would occasionally check out the entire area.
He did not know if the Soul and World Realms could tell the difference but beasts in the Sky Realm said they could.
He began to march towards the outer area of their home when he sensed people running towards him. He sighed and slowed down to wait.
It would just be easier.
The wooden doors were inlaid with an intricate carving of his dragon form on one side and his human one on the other. Both were marked with the same reptilian emerald eyes and scales for the dragon while his hair for the human.
They were made to pop out with crimson, black, and gold backgrounds of the mountain range to scale behind them.
His wives had designed it and he just found it waiting for him one day!
He waved his hands and the emerald eyes of the human shape facing him lit up. The color spread and the door slid apart down the middle. The eyes were both lock and key to his courtyard.
As soon as the 2 halves were pulled into the wall, a figure he did not immediately recognize came barreling at him. It was a young boy, maybe 12 or 13, at the peak of the Moon Tier.
His dark hair and darkly tanned skin were unknown but the dusk blue eyes connected just before he recognized the aura.
"Ryl–?!" Lind was caught off guard by the pure strength of the small boy! He would not be affected normally but he never expected such raw power in a human body. Normally, when beasts transformed into a human the first time, they could not translate their strength into it.
It was usually too unstable or simply hard to control the new perspective.
Especially given how young he looked, reflecting his true state, Lind would not have expected the same strength of a Dusk Grypwolf as he had seen before!
He stumbled and then was clamped in an iron hug! Lind knew Ryl was strong but reaching the Heaven Realm seemed to have unlocked stellar improvement!
"PACK LEADER!" Ryl finally spoke and his voice was varying from high to low. A small chuckle escaped Lind as he hugged the young boy back.
"I think you can call me Lind now. All my close ones do." The hug got stronger! As the pair were engaged in the touching moment, a very different person slowly approached respectfully.
She had pointed ears of soft gold and dark fur. Her hair blended well as her lithe figure moved with a grace no human could ever possess. Her eyes were dark gold but when the light reflected just right, they became laced with a deep sea green.
Pelia was now firmly in the Gold Tier of the World Realm and her power was solidly stable. She bowed respectfully from the doorway and he waved her in.
The difference between the 2 was stark but Ryl was still young. He could change drastically in the future.
He finally was released from the hug and inspected them. He had no complaints. Ryl’s foundation was solid and his softly glowing moon was not just filled in with Secondary Elements but had all 6 Primary Elements!
"I see the Harmonic Dragons were able to help you take a massive step forward." Ryl nodded and Lind could almost see the phantom tail wagging. He laughed and patted the young man’s head.
Pelia was a much deeper scan. He professionally examined her and was pleased to see her body issues were resolved. Her true dantian was smoothly integrated but it was human where the body was partially bestial.
He could pinpoint her exact bloodline from the ones he contributed to her, yet it was possible she was on a path similar to Ryl. She might actually condense something new. The surprising thing was her soul.
When he healed her body, she still had a very human soul. She did not have a beast soul exactly, yet it was clearly shifting. It was harmonizing with her body slowly as she advanced.
Where his soul had changed him, it was clear her body was changing her soul. He had never heard of it but her situation was the precedent. The others like her had safely migrated back to lower realms, yet they might face similar issues in the future.
He was sure Qing had made notes but the only person that could do what he did was him. If they had survived for the last 50 years, he would have to hope he could do more to help them.
As if reading his mind, Qing appeared smiling.
"You can never not be peaceful in your advancements, can you?" He looked sheepish but then she tossed him a jade slip. He was confused until his eyes went wide.
"Fey and Mom did what?!" Unexpectedly, the most powerful warrior of his family had been the key to helping the others like Pelia.
"The Great Lady Fey asked for my help and I freely gave it. Did I do wrong?" Pelia suddenly spoke up, very formally and Lind sighed. Qing was trying very hard not to laugh!
"If you save lives, I will hardly reprimand you. If anything, I should praise you. You did very well!" His words seemed to catch her off guard but Ryl was now smiling ear to ear!
"I told you Pack Sister! Pack Leader is not like those others!" Lind rolled his eyes but smiled. He patted Ryl’s head.
"Pelia, people are not things. I respect all life’s right to choose their fate. Fiends were my bottom line but I have no right to tell others how they choose to live. So long as you do not treat others as objects or others do the same to you, be free to choose." His words made her start to cry.
Lind pulled her in and Ryl hugged her too.
They were a pack. He had to make sure they both understood where he stood on their choices.
Fey, Mira, and Pelia had combined their efforts to help the others. Fey had command over life and death far beyond even his ability. It seemed Mira saw a way to help heal and restore the possibility of cultivation to the other pseudo thralls.
Unlike his solution to fuse a beast bloodline, Fey was able to parse the human and the invasive changes. It had risks, but Pelia was able to provide an example. Lind’s rework of her body allowed Fey to map out the changes as he actually knew what he was doing.
Unlike his unique gifts, Life and Death power was far better understood by a wide range of cultivators. Rules, Laws, and Daos were impossible to avoid for any of them. Fey was the ultimate of Life and Death in balance.
Mira was a healer only at the Immortal Realm, yet she could use all the treatises Lind had written unlike others. She was his mother and thus the secrets he had discovered were decipherable to her.
He felt pride on many levels and relief. He no longer had to solve such dark mysteries on his own. His Tapestry Layer flared briefly but he suppressed it.
He had indulged in enough cultivation for the moment.
"All right, how are the rest of the Divine Lands doing?" Qing smiled while Ryl tilted his head. Pelia also seemed lost at his question. He ignored them as several jade slips were handed over.
To sum up, the Divine Lands were doing well. Further, the remnants of the Glass Palace were being actively hunted in various realms. The Divine Lands were oddly absent from their presence.
It seemed they had fled to the Immortal Realms long ago and left agents but that was all. They were securing their supply lines in various mortal and Heaven Realms of all worlds.
That made the effort much harder to seek out, yet now that people knew, they were not letting up. Even Barren Realms were explored once more.
Anything that was thought to be isolated was too suspect to leave alone. That revelation made him worry.
Barren Realms were normally cut off from advancing to the Heaven Realm. If all Barren Realms were bridged, he was unsure of how it would affect the balance of Heaven and Earth.
Still, it was already done. Further, new mortal realms were always appearing. It was impossible to keep up with them all.
The rest of the slips confirmed that several Master Tiers had banded together to carve out part of the Northern Continent for themselves. It seemed his activities there had revealed untapped potential.
He smiled as that included Viera and the surviving bandit members. They had taken the valley Luxor died in and the surrounding territories. Aristrossa also claimed several areas surrounding her home in the same vein.
There were no disputes, thankfully, but he could see the time of peace would come to an end soon. Space was being taken over and eventually, friction would rise and war would return.
It might be restrained, in respect to him, yet he was not enough to hold it back forever.
He also could not impose his will on the entirety of the Divine Lands. For the moment, things were holding out.
He was about to remove his aura when the final piece of the jade slips made his eyes go wide.
"What do you mean they want me to host a party?!" Qing laughed hard while Ryl and Pelia looked between them confused. The final note in the slips made him exasperated.
{The Master Tiers have been informed by revelation you have condensed a new Mystery. They wish to gather and celebrate to discuss the Dao.}
