Hazel froze briefly, then shot him a cold gaze. "It’s nothing serious. Just the heat."

"Oh, is that so..."

Kaiser clearly didn’t believe her, but he didn’t pursue the matter as it was barely relevant. It wasn’t like Awakened could get seriously ill from simple sicknesses after all.

"I’ll get going then. I’ll leave their academics into your hands. Please do not let them fail."

Saying that, Hazel stood up and left his room. Kaiser stared at the closed door and slowly exhaled.

"Hm. Did she just come here to tell me that?"

Although suspicious, he ignored it entirely. He still had one more person to visit tonight, after all.

After cooking a light dinner and taking a thirty minutes nap, he picked up his phone and left his room.

At the same time, Ariel seemed to have just returned from somewhere, looking at Kaiser with an unreadable expression.

"?"

Confused, Kaiser tilted his head.

Ariel didn’t say anything and walked past him, returning to his own room.

’So many people with strange behaviors today. Goodness gracious...’

Disregarding his brief encounter with the long-haired boy, he entered the elevator and went straight to Mordica’s room.

He waited three seconds at the door, then knocked. Instantly, an aloof response came from inside.

"Come in. It’s open."

He gripped the doorknob, pressed downward, and pushed it open. The door clicked open, and he stepped inside the room.

It was suspiciously purple in there, and he wondered why it was so.

’Purple curtains? Purple light bulbs?’

Perhaps because the curtains were opened yesterday, he hadn’t paid attention to their color. Now that they were closed, and the only bulb illuminating the room was also purple, he couldn’t help but be surprised.

"Is purple your theme color? Or are you planning to summon your witch coven?"

He asked them girl who was seated on the bed with her books prepared. Today, she wore a short-sleeve lilac top with thick jeans that only reached halfway to her thighs. The rest of her tender, fleshy legs were completely exposed.

Kaiser’s gaze lingered on them for a moment, then lifted his head to look at her.

"What’s your issue with my room color? You can’t see?"

Hearing her retort, he chuckled. He looked at the cosplay posters on the wall, noticing that they were darker and harder to see when illuminated by purple lighting.

"I see." He nodded, then sat beside her with the books between them.

"I only have an hour to teach you. Ensure you absorb enough knowledge from my lesson."

Mordica immediately got serious, picking up her pen and her lesson note.

Soon after, they dived into teaching once again.

An hour passed eventually, and Kaiser finally stopped.

"Alright. That’s two topics covered. More than enough for today."

Mordica also nodded, wiping away the little sweat that had accumulated on her forehead.

"Uh... I got this for you."

She stood up and went to her fridge, opening it to bring out a chilled vanilla yogurt for him.

"Hm? I didn’t ask you to get me one today, though."

Kaiser stared at the tempting yogurt blankly, wondering why she was gifting him.

"I only bought it because I want to. That’s all."

She replied to him, her voice full of aloofness.

Standing up, Kaiser casually collected it from her and muttered a thank you to her.

"I’ll get going. Do well to revise. We’ll meet tomorrow again."

With that, he finally stepped out of the room.

The moment he left, Mordica sighed in relief. She changed the lights back to normal, illuminating the room in a white glow.

Her cosplay pictures came into view again, and she couldn’t help but look at them again with a nostalgic look.

"Hmm. That guy is really something else. He barely reacted to the pictures today."

Although she had purposefully darkened the room, she had no iota of doubt that he could have seen the picture.

"And that strange illusion from yesterday..."

She frowned, remembering how real it had felt. Could her mind really have crafted something that real?

"Tch. I really shouldn’t worry about all these now." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Rubbing her arms and feeling the growing heat in her body, she decided to take a shower.

.........

The next day, Kaiser, Kiera, Ysabella, and Charles met in a booked room in the karaoke bar after classes for the study sessions again.

They started immediately, with Kaiser calmly and methodically explaining the problems to each one of them in ways that they could understand.

As Kaiser spoke to Kiera, Charles glanced at Ysabella, frowning internally.

’What’s wrong with her? She barely smiled in class today.’

Although Ysabella had been asked several times what was wrong with her, she merely smiled and answered that she was simply concerned about the exams and the others.

Even though Charles wanted to believe her, he still had lingering doubts.

’Well, it’s not like I can actually talk with someone like her. Those three idiots will definitely fry me.’

Clicking his tongue, he refocused on his notes and continued reading before it was his turn to be taught.

Ysabella stared into her notes blankly, her mind already far away.

’I swear... I’ll have my revenge. Even if I have to use that guy, I will make sure both of you regret it.’

Something unexpected formed in the air, surprising the other three. Only Kaiser wasn’t confused about the aura coming from her body.

’Killing intent?’

He tilted his head, then tapped her book.

"Are you you focused on what you’re doing?"

Ysabella nodded hurriedly, trying to keep her expression composed.

She forced herself to present a sweet smile.

"Sure. I’m getting a hang if it. Thanks."

Keira looked at her suspiciously and couldn’t help but marvel at how smoothly the blonde girl could put on a facade of kindness.

’She’s really something else.’

Sighing, so turned to Kaiser who had now ignored Ysabella and was focused on her again.

"Kiera. Pay close attention. I wouldn’t be repeating myself here."

His words made her serious again, and she finally refocused on the lesson.

The session continued for an hour and a half before Kaiser called it a day. Ysabella left first, bidding everyone goodbye with a smile.

However, the moment she stepped outside, her smile disappeared, and she called a number.
