Evolution Online: Building a Kingdom with 100\% drop rate
Chapter 109: Ch-: Lightning Valley (3)
"Why do you keep staring at me?" Victor said in an amused tone as he noticed Eleanor throwing him glances every now and then.
"You are also a Warlock with a mutated bloodline?" Eleanor asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"Indeed, I have a Lightning mutated bloodline, actually," Victor said as black bolts of lightning erupted from his palms.
"I see," Eleanor said and then looked at Victor with a serious expression on her face. "You must be Victor Silvernum, I assume."
When he heard this, both Amber and Victor stopped and looked at Eleanor curiously, while Amber was throwing wary glances at her while getting ready to act at a moment’s notice.
Victor did not react much as he did not feel any hostility from her and asked calmly, "How did you know?"
"So you really are. Honestly, it’s not something that can be hidden. In fact, many people know about this. I heard some people talking about you a week ago," Eleanor said with a shrug.
"I see." Victor nodded his head in understanding.
Eleanor looked at Victor and said in a serious voice, "Honestly, you should watch your back. Trouble should come knocking at your door within a month at most."
Amber frowned upon hearing her words and asked, "What do you mean by that?"
Victor also looked at her and could already guess what she meant.
"Well, now that you have awakened a new bloodline mutation, and Lightning on top of that, which is the most destructive element in terms of offensive power, they will surely pressure you to join their family so that they can obtain your bloodline within their family through marriage. Worst-case scenario, since you are currently weak, some may kidnap you as a breeding tool or just kill you to prevent a powerhouse from rising," Eleanor explained.
Amber’s expression immediately darkened, as what she said was right, and then she turned to look at Victor with a worried expression.
"Master..." Amber said in a worried tone, and Eleanor’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets when she heard those words.
’What the hell is this master shit...’ Eleanor’s imagination started to run wild, and a faint blush appeared on her face, which she quickly suppressed.
Then she turned to look at Victor, who had a calm expression on his face and did not seem worried at all. She could not help but say, "Hey, confidence is a good thing, but don’t overestimate yourself. You are just Tier 0, and no matter how powerful you are, you can’t contend with their top fighters and armies, not to mention I am sure some Dukes would also move against you."
In her opinion, Victor was severely underestimating the other nobles, and not to mention, from her knowledge she knew how weak and vulnerable the Silvernum Duchy was.
Amber, on the other hand, had a weird expression as she thought, ’Maybe he is confident because of the Mechs, and judging by her reaction, it looks like the news about the Black Church has yet to spread.’
"Not really, they won’t have time to bother with me," Victor said calmly as his lips curled up.
"????" Question marks seemed to appear above her head as she looked confused.
"Don’t tell me you don’t know the current state of the Kingdom?" Victor asked with a sly smile.
"Do you mean the succession crisis?" Eleanor asked.
"Indeed. From what I know and analyzed, a civil war should break out within a month or less," Victor said with a smirk.
"But after the civil war, they would surely target you?" Eleanor pointed out.
"By that time, I will have grown stronger, and they would think twice before acting against me, and if they do..." Victor said with a vicious look on his face.
"..." Eleanor just looked at him blankly, shook her head, and said, "Let’s keep going."

30 minutes later
Rumble
"Welcome to the second level of Lightning Hell," Eleanor said with a smile.
Amber’s eyebrows jumped up and she was about to dodge a lightning bolt that was about to fall on her head, but it seemed to curve and get sucked into the stone she had gotten from Eleanor.
"See, the payment for my service also included the stone which will shield you," Eleanor said with a smile, and her eyebrows twitched when she saw the cat on Victor’s shoulder raising the stone toward the sky.
"Hey, if you do that, you might purposely draw lightning toward yourself," Eleanor said to Lilith.
"Miss Lilith knows, and that’s exactly what Miss Lilith was aiming for," Lilith said, which dumbfounded Eleanor.
"But why would you want to do that?" Eleanor asked.
"Miss Lilith wants to catch lightning and then use the lightning to fry rats, and also wants to chase them for fun while she throws lightning at them," Lilith said in a serious voice like that was the most important mission of her life.
Eleanor’s jaw dropped to the ground upon hearing this, and Amber also looked at Lilith in disbelief.
’Holy, when did my AI become this vicious?’ Victor thought and then asked, "Lilith, will you also try to fry humans later?"
’What kind of question is this? Is he crazy like his cat? Damn, when did cats even learn to speak in the first place?’ Eleanor scratched her head in exasperation.
"No, why would Miss Lilith do that? Does Sir Victor want Miss Lilith to stop hunting rats?" Lilith said while her ears drooped.
"Of course not. Miss Lilith can hunt rats as much as she wants as long as she does not try to fry humans... hmm, without my permission," Victor paused when he said the last part. If it was his enemies, then it was fine to fry them or boil them however she wanted.
"Hmm, Miss Lilith will also share fried rats with Sir Victor to eat," Lilith said happily.
Victor almost choked on his saliva when he heard the last words and shuddered imagining her serving him fried rats, making him almost want to puke.
"Sir Victor, it looks like someone is unconscious over there," Lilith said suddenly as she jumped off his shoulder and started running.
"Wait, Lilith!" Victor said as he hurriedly followed behind her.
