"Undead," Victor said in a low voice as he looked at the corpses rising and staring at them.

This was one of the most common monsters on planets that had gone through their second evolution. Due to the mana density becoming extremely high, corpses rich in mana absorbed it and rose again as undead, and this applied not only to beasts but humans as well.

Even corpses that had been buried centuries ago would rise again. One could already imagine the kind of chaos it would cause if dead powerhouses suddenly came back to life, and in fact, there were many undead kingdoms formed by past kings who had become undead and were even stronger this time.

Most undead were mindless, but the most terrifying aspect was that they could regain human-like intelligence if they consumed other intelligent lifeforms, and undead loved to feed on them.

Victor saw their details as he used his pupil technique on them and said, "As expected, no drops, and their tier increased."

Just like before his regression, these undead, like all the others, did not drop anything after being destroyed.

Swoosh

"What the hell is this regeneration?" Eleanor exclaimed as she slashed her sword downward and bisected the undead goblin, but to her horror, it instantly regenerated.

"Quickly destroy their heads. There is a stone inside that you need to shatter. If you don’t destroy the stone, they will continue to regenerate," Victor said as he used his Lightning Claw to directly grab the head of one of the beasts, tear it open, and crush the small black crystal inside its head.

"Freeze." Amber raised her hand and encased a nearby undead in ice, then said, "Ice Spears." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Thud

Black ice spears pierced through the head of the undead, destroying the crystal inside. As soon as the crystal was destroyed, the undead turned into dust.

"It worked." Amber, who had destroyed the black crystal, smiled and looked at Victor with admiration.

"How did you know this?" Eleanor asked as she narrowed her eyes with suspicion, but Victor’s eyes suddenly widened in shock and he urgently said, "Quickly, use your teleportation device and return!"

"What happened?" Amber asked.

"No time to ask. Everyone, quickly touch each other’s shoulders. I will take you out." Victor brought out a crystal as the women started following his instructions. He held Amber by her waist and activated the teleportation crystal, and...

Crack

"Why is it not working?" Victor asked as he looked into the distance uneasily.

"This is a high-mana area, and now the mana has become even denser. It is affecting the teleportation device. We at least need to move to a lower-mana area to make it work," Eleanor explained as she was familiar with the crystal.

"Fuck," Victor cursed as this had completely slipped his mind.

"Why do you seem so panicked?" Eleanor asked.

Victor looked at her and replied plainly, "Did you forget what happens when too much mana enters a beast’s body?"

Hearing Victor’s words, not only Eleanor but even Amber had their eyes widen in shock.

"Right... they will lose their minds and attack mindlessly." Eleanor suddenly felt a chill run down her spine as she looked around, and then a terrible thought popped into her head.

’If mana is increasing all around the planet, would that mean there would be monster attacks everywhere... this... an apocalyptic situation?’ Eleanor broke out in a cold sweat thinking about the consequences, and her face turned paper white.

"I am confident I can deal with beasts, but what if beasts from the deeper layers come here?" Hearing Victor’s words, even the other women realized the gravity of the situation and started panicking. "It’s better we leave quickly."

"Purgatory Lightning Serpent!"

"Ice Spear!"

"Light Slash!"

"Electric Claw!"

Victor, Amber, Eleanor, and even Lilith launched all sorts of attacks as they made their way toward the exit, slaughtering undead along the way. The group of women looked uneasy at their surroundings as they closely trailed behind them.

"So many of them..." Eleanor frowned as they had encountered many beasts along the way that seemed to have lost their minds and attacked them, and after being killed, much to their annoyance, they rose again as undead and became even stronger. She was glad they were only Tier 0, and at most reached the early stages of Tier 1 after becoming undead. If it had been Tier 2... just thinking about it made Eleanor’s face darken.

A group of five undead stumbled toward the crowd of women but was quickly dealt with by Eleanor. Seeing their distorted expressions and blank eyes, many of the women could not help but shudder, along with the faint sound of choked sobs.

"Sigh..." Eleanor sighed seeing the women’s reaction. She did not blame them; they were ordinary people who had lived peaceful lives until they were kidnapped. Just thinking about that made her face twist with rage.

"Huh?" As Victor walked, he startled when he received a sudden notification.

[???? Egg is reacting all of a sudden]

Victor raised an eyebrow seeing the row of text on his retina. He had already abandoned the thought of hatching the egg for the time being. ’Looks like the mana density also increased the lightning mana here... that’s why the egg is reacting all of a sudden.’

After about an hour of traveling, they arrived at the exit, and the scene they saw sent a chill down their spines which caused some of the women to stagger and fall on their buttocks.
