Chapter 125: Ch-: Undead Parents (3)
"Edward, what did you just say?" Victor said in a low voice, and the sky started thundering louder. Everyone felt a chill run down their spines, and Edward swallowed hard before composing himself and replying in a serious voice, "It’s the former Baron and Baroness. They have resurrected as undeads and are attacking and killing everyone."
"Damn it!" Victor cursed loudly. He should have expected this. His face turned grim as he thought, ’I wonder what Tier they are at the moment.’
-------
"Sigh, looks like Vic managed to revive the Silvernum Estate... the population is far greater now. What do you think, Soreil?" a female undead said in a neutral voice.
"Hmm, looks like it. I never knew this brat would become this capable, and from what I heard, he seems to have awakened a Warlock Bloodline. It will be tough to turn him into an undead, Catherine," the male undead looked at the female and said.
"Hmm, true. But I have to admit, my son really outdid himself. Compared to when you were in charge, the population and army are ten times larger and far stronger. This can serve as the foundation for our undead empire," the female undead said in a teasing voice, causing Soreil’s face to darken as he snorted.
"Hmm, true. I never expected that one day we would kill the people of our own territory," Soreil said with a sigh.
Even though he still had some hesitation in harming living beings, especially his own people, his undead instincts would not allow it and constantly overrode his emotions. That was why many undeads killed even their loved ones without hesitation and always sought to form empires, as this instinct was embedded directly into their genes.
Rumble!
Both of them turned toward the distance, and their eyes narrowed when they saw a bolt of lightning descend and transform into a person. Their eyes widened when they recognized him.
"Victor..." Catherine mumbled as she looked at him.
"Mother... Father..." Victor wore a complicated expression. Even though he had not interacted much with them, he had inherited the memories of this body, and his affection toward them was genuine. He had also never seen his parents in his previous life, so he truly treated them as his own parents. Thus, he froze when he saw them standing in front of him.
Woosh! Woosh!
"Victor, you should have waited—" Amber, who had flown after Victor with her ice wings, suddenly turned stiff as she looked at the two undeads who shared many similarities with him. Even if they were undead, Amber could still see it.
"Lord Soreil and Lady Catherine..." Edward’s voice turned hoarse. He had never expected to see them again, especially under such circumstances.
"Edward... long time no see," Soreil said with a smile toward his old loyal butler.
Catherine’s eyes narrowed at Amber, and a smirk played on her face. "Victor, your choice is not bad. Is she my future daughter-in-law? She is beautiful."
Amber blushed slightly upon hearing this and felt that, even though they were undead, they were still very pleasing to the eyes. But Catherine’s next words instantly darkened Amber’s expression.
"Not bad. I will also turn her into an undead and have her stay with Victor," Soreil said calmly.
"Who the hell wants to become an undead?!" Amber barked as veins bulged on her forehead.
"Hehe, Victor, make sure you marry a few more women to continue expanding the Silvernum bloodline. Honestly, I had already selected many women for you to form a harem with. I even showed Edward," Catherine said casually.
Victor almost choked on his saliva before looking at his mother with shining eyes, causing her to puff out her chest proudly.
Amber, on the other hand, was deeply irritated by this shameless undead. Even though she was mentally prepared, it still annoyed her greatly.
"Edward, what about you? Do you want to become an undead and serve me again?" Soreil asked calmly.
"I apologize, but I serve only the living, and my loyalty now belongs to Lord Victor," Edward replied without hesitation.
"I see... then I will turn you into an undead by force," Soreil’s eyes turned cold.
On the other hand, Victor used his pupil technique on them.

"What?! You are a Warlock?" Victor cried out as he looked at Catherine.
"Oh, you can tell? I had awakened a Warlock Bloodline just before my death. I could not use it because I died, but you are the perfect opponent to test it on, son," Catherine said with a smirk.
"What?! Miss, you were a Warlock?" Edward cried out in disbelief.
"Ice Spears!"
Amber immediately shot a few black ice spears toward Catherine, but Catherine smiled and dodged them effortlessly.
"Quite impatient," Catherine said while Amber clicked her tongue as her sneak attack failed. Catherine then narrowed her eyes. "Which family are you from? I have never heard of anyone possessing a Black Ice Warlock Bloodline before."
"You don’t need to know," Amber sneered.
"Tsk, show some respect to your mother-in-law," Catherine said as she narrowed her eyes.
Victor’s eyes hardened at the same time as he looked at them, then at Edward and Amber, and said in a neutral tone, "You two back off. As their son, I will put them to rest myself."
"But—" Amber was about to protest, but one look from Victor stopped her. She nodded and backed away. Edward also wanted to object but held back his words and moved into the distance with Amber. If Victor was in danger, they would interfere even if it angered him.
"Good, you have grown up," Soreil looked at Victor’s firm eyes and nodded in satisfaction before his own eyes turned cold. "Looks like you won’t be willing to join us as an undead, will you?"
"Nope, I like being alive," Victor replied calmly.
"I see..." Soreil nodded, and then—
Suddenly, Victor’s Danger Sense ability gave him a fatal warning. He immediately turned into lightning and moved aside.
Wooosh!
A white slash directly cut through the place where he had been hovering moments ago, and Victor cried out in shock, "So fast!"
