Chapter 150: Divorce?

She called him sweetly and glanced at Sophie. She could not help but feel much better after seeing a trace of jealousy on her face.

Unexpectedly, this made Christopher, who was on the other end of the call to tremble violently.

Janice was still angry with him not long ago and she did not even answer the call or reply to his Line. He was prepared that she would not answer her call.

And now, she called him ’hubby’ as soon as she spoke.

So, what was going on?

Christopher stood there in a daze, he did not come to his senses until...

"Why aren’t you talking?"

Janice frowned and asked.

Only then did Christopher come to his senses, "Where... are you?"

He felt strange about it and did not dare to speak more.

Janice glanced faintly at Sophie and said, "I’m at grandpa’s."

"Wait for me, I’ll be right there," Christopher said.

Janice nodded and put her phone away. She saw Sophie, who seemed unaffected standing there.

Janice frowned and thought to herself, she did not even feel embarrassed listening to others’ call.

"Is my brother coming?"

Sophie asked.

Janice knitted her brows.

"Didn’t you hear that?"

Sophie sneered and took a step forward, said.

"So, are you going to make a complaint to my brother?"

Janice felt that it was funny to hear this.

"What’s wrong? Are you afraid?"

"Why should I be afraid?" Sophie snorted, "I’m just afraid that you don’t have the courage to know the story between me and my brother."

As she spoke, she walked out of the door proudly.

Janice stood there and sneered as she watched her leaving the kitchen. What was there to be afraid of? Their past relationship?

Outside the gate, Christopher saw Nathan and Sophie walking out from the villa as soon as he got out of the car.

He could not help but be stunned and stopped.

Why are they here?

Why had not Janice mention it over the phone?

Could it be that they had made things difficult for her?

Thinking of this, Christopher walked towards the villa quickly.

"Brother..."

When Sophie saw him walking over, she took the initiative to greet him.

However, Christopher ignored her and walked past her towards Nathan.

"What are you doing here?"

Christopher asked directly.

Nathan did not care about his son, who was being impolite, and said, "Why can’t I come here? By the way, aren’t you busy?"

Christopher frowned, "No matter how busy I am, I will still make time for grandpa."

He was obviously implying something, Nathan then raised his eyebrows and said to Sophie, "Sophie, get in the car first. I have something to say to your brother."

Sophie, who was standing at the side, could clearly feel the tension between them. She nodded as she knew that it was not appropriate for her to stay any longer, then walked towards the car.

After Sophie left, Nathan spoke.

"Don’t think that I can’t do anything to you just because you have grandpa at your side. If you don’t divorce, then don’t blame me for getting involved."

Hearing this, Christopher said coldly.

"Don’t even think about it. I won’t compromise no matter what."

"Are you sure?" Nathan did not go on, he sneered and walked to the car.

Christopher was standing there until the car left, only then he strode into the villa.

"Grandpa, where’s Janice?"

He asked as soon as he walked in.

...

"Why are you in a hurry? She’s in the kitchen," said Old Mr. Allson with a frown.

Christopher nodded. Just when he was about to go, he thought of something and stopped.

"By the way, why was my father here?"

"What else could he do?" Old Mr. Allson hissed, "Besides from creating troubles." Hearing his grandfather’s words, Christopher could not help frowning.

"He doesn’t agree with you being with Janice, so what are you going to do?" Old Mr. Allson looked over him.

Christopher said expressionlessly, "No, it’s my own marriage. It has nothing to do with him."

Hearing that, Old Mr. Allson was gratified. "That’s right. Does Janice know about Sophie?"

Christopher’s eyes darkened, "She probably doesn’t know yet." Old Mr. Allson could not help sighing by looking at his grandson. "Think about it carefully. Confess it or hide it?" Christopher had no expression on his face.

"There’s nothing that I should confess."

Old Mr. Allson had nothing to say, he then got up slowly. He walked up to him, he then stopped and patted his shoulder and said earnestly, "You decide it yourself."

Christopher was quiet. Just when he turned around and walked towards the kitchen, he saw Janice coming out.

Their eyes met.

His expression could not help but freeze, and he thought of Nathan and Sophie who’d just left here.

His face showed nervousness as she was still angry with him and she even met Nathan and Sophie.

He was worried that her mood would get worsen.

"Janice..."

He paused and was about to walk towards her, but she was leaving. "Grandpa, I’ll go back first."

Janice stopped in front of Old Mr. Allson and said.

Old Mr. Allson frowned, "So soon?"

"Yes, there’s something I need to do," as Janice spoke, she glared at Christopher as she did not want to argue with him here.

"..."

Old Mr. Allson had noticed something between them and said, "Well, but I have something for you."

As he spoke, he called Nanny Daisy, who was in the courtyard.

Nanny Daisy rushed in.

"Go get the things for me," Old Mr. Allson said.

Nanny Daisy was stunned after hearing the order from Old Mr. Allson before entering the kitchen.

Soon, she came out with a small paper bag.

Old Mr. Allson took it and handed it to her, said, "Take this, it’s good for your health. Take good care of yourself since you’re so busy with work."

Janice did not know what was in the paper bag. She thought of it as an ordinary tonic after hearing Old Mr. Allson’s words and she reached out to take it.

"Thank you, Grandpa."

Old Mr. Allson then turned to Christopher and explained.

"Hey, take care of Janice."

Christopher nodded and said, "Don’t worry. We’ll go now."

He walked up and held Janice’s hand. However, Janice did not refuse it as Old Mr.

Allson was here and they walked out together.

After the two of them left, Nanny Daisy asked in puzzlement, "Old master, didn’t you say that young madam needs some supplements? Why did you tell them to go back?"

Old Mr. Allson did not answer, he was staring as they walked out of the house, he muttered to himself, "I’m afraid that Janice seems to have known something. Forget about it, let them settle themselves."

Although Nanny Daisy was confused, she did not continue asking.

...

"Janice, walk slowly."

As soon as they walked out from Old Mr. Allson’s sight, Janice shook off Christopher’s hand.

She walked at a fast speed, it was hard for Christopher to catch up with her. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Janice ignored him and walk towards his car and sat in.

Christopher thought that she would be leaving directly, but he did not expect that she would get into his car. He was relieved then hurriedly went to the driver’s seat. He took a glance at her secretly when he was fastening his seat belt.

She did not seem to want to talk to him.

So, calling him ’hubby’ on the phone was a fake one?

Thinking of this, although Christopher was a little depressed, it was fine as long as she was still willing to go home with him.

He stopped thinking about it and started the car.

Along the way, Janice was quiet and she was looking at the window.

Christopher looked at her while he was driving, but she ignored him. It seemed that she was in a bad mood, he felt guilty about it, so he could not help but reach out to hold her hand.

She moved away secretly.

As Christopher’s hand held nothing, he frowned slightly and could not help saying.

"Janice, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have forced you, and I shouldn’t have said those words. Don’t be angry at me, I promise that I will never mention that again."

He said cautiously.

Janice, however, remained silent, then slowly turned around, and looked at him.

In fact, she was not angry with Christopher anymore.

She just wanted to keep him hanging for a while.

Why did he want to expose her true colors?

However, since he had already apologized, she would not make him feel anxious.

Thinking of this, she said, "Stop the car by the side of the road. I have something to tell you."

Hearing this, Christopher was stunned, then only parked the car aside, and looked at her cautiously.

Janice knew that he was looking at her, but for some reason, she remained her

darkened face.

"Christopher, I’ve made up my mind. No matter how hard I try, I’m not worthy of you. In this case, why don’t..."

Hearing her words, Christopher was so scared that he stopped her. "You don’t have to say anything. I won’t agree." He turned his face away.

However, Janice blinked her eyes in puzzlement, "I haven’t even finished speaking, what are you not agree to?"

Christopher looked as if he had already known it.

"Since you’ve said that you don’t deserve me, don’t you just want to mention the divorce?"

Janice looked surprised, "Divorce?"

"Isn’t it?"

Christopher was taken aback.

"Of course not," said Janice angrily, "I was going to say that I felt that I’m more suitable in the news department. So, I’ve decided to go back."

Hearing this, Christopher only realized that it was a false alarm.

He nodded, "Of course, you can decide on this yourself."

Upon hearing his words, Janice felt much more at ease.

She had already figured out the reason why she bought such expensive gift.

It was just her vanity.

Ever since she was transferred to the variety department, she found that she was always worried over something which she should not be. On the contrary, she no longer had the pure intention of producing a show.
