"How's this?" Matthew asked Tylith with his hands on her shoulders.

"It's better. I can feel my legs now." She answered.

He was applying his Anesthesia skill on her. The holy mana in Elysium was slowly killing her and causing a lot of pain. Matthew used his Anesthesia skill on her to dull the pain so that she could at least move around and it took some tuning for the right amount of numbness he should inflict. They couldn't stay much longer.

As soon as they arrived they were received by an angel and a group of Gratificata led by Matthew's dead grandmother, mother of his mother. Her name was Martha just like his mother. Grandma Ma as Matthew used to call her when he was a child. She died peacefully in her sleep when he was just 7.

Matthew couldn't contain his tears when they met. He felt like a child again when he hugged her. She looked so young there and as happy as one could be.

Grandma Ma took them into her home, a large cottage in the middle of a forest near a lake of warm water. She lived alone. She said she was waiting for her husband, who died before Matthew was born, to be ready to come.

Elysium was a place of abundance. Greenery everywhere with impressive natural wonders. Beaches of white sand and crystal clear water, endless fields of flowers, cool breezed forests… Food was plenty, there were no diseases, no dangers.

There each Gratificata could choose where to live and how to live. Angels roamed around making sure everyone was happy and satisfied.

Avariel had gone to the pearly gates to talk to Cahetel, a seraph, about what happened in Ira.

Seraphim were the highest caste of angels. Angel castes were divided in 3 choirs, each choir had 3 tiers of angels.

The first choir was composed of Seraphim, Cherubim, and the Thrones, the Ophanim.

The second choir was composed of Dominions, Virtues, and Powers.

The third choir was composed of Principalities, Archangels and Angels.

Cahetel was the seraph responsible for the order of the afterlife and the one who maintained order in the hells when the actions of demons threatened it.

While angels were organized in a single power structure under Yahweh, demons were unorganized with several rulers and different castes that were always trying to overthrow each other and take their domains for themselves.

Angels ruled over responsibilities, while demons ruled over possessions and land.

Demons were organized from weaker to stronger.

Soldiers were the normal demons without any possession.

Generals were demons who ruled legions. Generals served under demons from higher hierarchy; from weaker to stronger, Presidents, Knights, Earls, Marquises, Princes, Dukes and Kings.

With the exception of Aym, who was a Duke and ruled over Violentia, all other hells were ruled by Kings. Beleth and Paimon were the only kings who had no hell of their own to rule. Both served directly under Lucifer in Cocytus.

Lucifer being the one above all, ruler of Cocytus and considered the Demon God. He was a fallen Seraph.

The other nobility ruled over pieces of land in the 9 hells.

Heaven, unlike the hells, was a single realm. Elysium, also called the Garden of Eden. In it there was the Pearly Gates, a white pur gate that led to Yahweh's throne where only angels and Gratificata who were considered saints could enter.

Grandma Ma put an apple pie on the table, while Matthew finished applying the Anesthesia on Tylith. Nanael helped her clean the dishes while Ffyr was having fun flying in and out the warm waters of the lake.

"Have a piece dear." Grandma Ma cut a piece of pie to serve Tylith.

"Thank you." Tylith thanked with a soft voice.

"It's so good seeing you Matty." Grandma Ma cut another piece for her grandson. "I understand you've gone through a great deal of pain." She added with a sweet smile.

"It has been rough Grandma." Matthew smiled at her.

"I'm proud of you." She said, patting his head the same way she used to do when she was alive.

"Thank you." Matthew said, holding back tears.

"Wait! There's pie?" Ffyr shouted, poking her head inside the cottage through a window flailing her wet hair all over the floor.

"Ffyr!" Nanael admonished her.

"It's all right, dear." Grandma Ma laughed out loud and picked a towel for the fairy.

Ffyr barely dried herself before sitting down and eating the pie with her hands. All under the satisfied smile of Grandma Ma.

Later in the day, Avariel flew back to the cottage. She was wearing a pristine white dress and brought another to her sister to wear.

Ffyr was sleeping in a hammock on the front porch and Matthew and Tylith were taking a walk in the forest.

"Your grandmother is sweet." Tylith said while examining a patch of mushrooms growing on a fallen tree.

"She always was." Matthew said. "How are you doing?" He asked since it was the first opportunity they were alone.

"I'm ok. Thanks to you, I'm not in pain." She answered.

"I didn't mean like that. I meant about Vine." Matthew corrected her.

"I can't lie, I'm still scared." She said, hugging herself.

"You know you can give up your demonic soul and become a Gratificata and live here like Nanael said." Matthew said. "You'll be safe here."

"I know. But even though this place is great and all. It also seems to be the most boring place in all the realms." Tylith laughed, sitting on the log in front of her. "No. I prefer going to Earth with you." She added.

"Why me?" Matthew asked, sitting by her side.

"Because you were there." She laughed again. "At least at first. You really didn't have to fight for me. I know why the angels fought for me, but why did you?" Her voice got serious.

"Honestly? I don't know. I think I saw a friend of mine in you when you hid behind me back there." Matthew said.

"Who?"

"Mia. She was… Abused by a man." Matthew was succinct.

"I was never abused." Tylith chuckled. "I laid with him by my own will."

"But you were scared of him nonetheless." Matthew said.

Tylith went silent and looked at the floor.

"I just wanted to be free from him." She commented after a while.

"You're free now." Matthew said.

Avariel found them shortly after that. She said they talked with someone who was going to take them to earth. A virtue called Mikhael.

"A gate to heaven appearing on Earth should not be seen by normal people." Avariel explained to them. "Mikhael will take you to the Prime in secrecy."

"I'm sorry you can't take heavenly clothing back to Earth." Nanael said looking at the clothes they were wearing, still the black leather Tylith picked for them.

"It's alright!" Ffyr said with a smile and spinning. "I want to show this to Sarah!" She added with enthusiasm.

At night, Matthew was sitting on the porch stairs looking at the sky. There were 9 moons in the sky and a cornucopia of stars and shooting stars.

"It's beautiful, isn't it, Matty?" Grandma Ma asked him.

"It is." He said.

"You know you can stay if you want." His grandmother said, sitting by his side. "Id love to have you here."

"I thought about it." Matthew said, laying his head on her shoulder. "But I can't leave mom and dad and sis back home. I also have a girl now." He explained.

"I know, Matty." She answered, patting his head. "That Faralynn girl is perfect for you." She added.

Matthew looked at her confused. He didn't tell her about his girlfriend.

"Oh, Matty! We look down to Earth from time to time. That's why I meant when I said that I'm proud of you." Grandma Ma chuckled and smiled.

When his eyes filled with water, she hugged him.

"I'll be here waiting for you all. Please don't rush to come back." She said, patting his back. "And tell that daughter of mine to drink a bit less. All that wine will get to her."

Matthew chuckled, hugging her back.

"I love you grandma."

Mikhael was a tall man with rosy skin, black long hair and gold eyes. He had only a pair of gold wings sprouting from his back. The virtue greeted them in the morning with a firm handshake.

"Thank you for helping Nanael, child." Mikhael said. "You did our lord's work."

Matthew only smiled. He didn't know how to behave or how to respond.

"And you. Feel free and don't cause too much havoc to the humans." Mikhael also shook Tylith's hand. "Know that both of you are loved." He then turned to Ffyr who was stuffing her face with cookies Grandma Ma baked. "You too, daughter of Titania."

Avariel and Nanael came after and also thanked Matthew and Ffyr for all they did for them.

"If you ever get the Santero class, call me to help you." Avariel said, shaking his hand.

Nanael hugged Matthew.

Grandma Ma also hugged her grandson and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Surprisingly she also did it to Tylith.

"You be good down there. Rely on my Matty when you're in trouble, dear." She said to the demoness.

Ffyr hugged her extra hard, thanking for the cookies.

"Leave some for Sarah and Martha." Grandma Ma said.

After saying their goodbyes, Mikhael opened the gate back to Earth.

"Godspeed." He said before they all entered it.

After the gate closed, Avariel and Nanael went back inside Grandma Ma's cottage to drink some tea. Mikhael went back to his duties.

After some hours, a knock on the door was heard.

"He's finally here." Avariel smiled looking at Grandma Ma.

"Who?" Nanael asked.

"Why don't you open the door dear?" Grandma Ma said with a smile.

Nanael's eyes filled with tears. She hugged the person who was outside the door so hard that both of them fell to the floor.

"You're late." Her husband said, hugging her back and caressing her hair.

"I'm sorry." She said crying openly on his shoulder.

"Don't be. You are alright now." He consoled her. "Welcome home."
