The man asked after a short pause, "Can I ask why exactly you need to go there?"

Kale looked towards Rando, who nodded, "Don’t worry, the manager is trustworthy and often has dealings with the prince."

Kale sighed and spoke about his chimaera egg, which needed to be hatched within the Swamp Hatchery of the Tigerwood Forest.

The manager rubbed his eyelids in frustration. "So, you’re a Fleshcrafter from the Association?"

The frail-looking Grandmaster, after a moment of thought, agreed to recommend them a few trustworthy peak Master rank Awakened, just as Rando and Kale were about to exit the chamber. Someone knocked on the door.

The Manager frowned and opened the door.

A warrior-like woman with long brown hair and a scar on her neck stood with an impatient, cold look, but Rando immediately recognised her, saying in surprise, "Grandmaster Echidna?"

The woman looked at Kale and said, annoyed, "Princess Aria has ordered me to protect Apprentice Artificer Kale."

Kale was taken aback, and so was Rando; he did not know what to say.

Meanwhile, the Greenroot Commerce HQ manager gave Kale another long, scrutinising look. Greatly shocked by why both the prince and princess, who did not truly see eye to eye, were protecting this boy so vehemently.

If he still did not realise that there was something special about this boy, then he would have lived his life in vain; he made sure to remember Kale’s appearance and name.

He ordered a servant to take the three individuals to a guest room and serve them refreshments; in a few hours, the caravan of resources would depart for Tigerwood. He would need to make arrangements to add the new party.

And since this matter seemed quite special in the eyes of both the prince and princess, it was quite possible for him, as the Manager, to tip the Awakened going along the Caravan to also watch out for the boy’s safety.

Technically, maintaining healthy trade relations with the royal family and improving them was also a major part of his job, so he was only trying to do his job better. The manager assured himself with a smile.

So, the man went on his way to do exactly that.

Meanwhile, Kale now sat in a guest room, staring at the woman who had just popped out of nowhere, coming to his rescue by the orders of the strange princess Aria.

He asked after a moment of hesitation, "May I ask why the princess sent you to help me? And how did you even know where I was?"

Echidna glanced at him, but did not look him in the eyes. She said unhurriedly, "Trust me, I want to know the same thing. As for your second question, it would be strange if the Princess did not have the capacity to know something that she wanted to know."

Her words had a slight mocking tone, directed towards Kale; of course, the powerful woman was looking down on him. Which Kale did not care much about, but was quite irked by the situation; he could not understand the princess’s intentions at all.

The girl seemed incredibly strange and unpredictable.

A few hours passed, and eventually, Kale, Echidna, and Rando were called by a servant to the front of the building, where the caravan was ready and waiting.

It was basically a group of 20 people. Most of them were Master rank, and there were two Grandmaster rank individuals.

But there were no carriages with them, like a traditional caravan.

Kale noticed large bags hanging on the backs of the Master rank individuals, and Kale realised that those were not normal bags; rather, spatial bags, perhaps with an enormous volume of compressed space, containing a massive amount of important resources for the entirety of the Greenroot Guild’s Outer Zone HQ.

The frail-looking manager introduced Kale curtly, "This is Apprentice Artificer Kale from the Association’s main branch, and he needs to go to the Tigerwood Forest to gather a special material by hand."

The man also threw out an excuse for why Kale needed to go there. Kale saw all of them giving him a scrutinising look.

Kale did a half bow and said respectfully to all of them, "I have bothered the seniors to tag along with you on this journey. I apologise in advance."

Only when he said those words in a courteous manner did the gaze of 20 people soften on him slightly, but they did not care much anyway. One of the two Grandmasters of the caravan spoke up lazily, "Don’t expect any help from us, kid; your safety is to your own guards."

Echidna scoffed arrogantly, "That won’t be necessary in the first place."

The manager laughed out loud, suddenly to ease the tension. "Okay, okay, I hope both parties can take care of each other and just safely reach the destination, since this is a bit of a hectic time."

Kale left with the Caravan, walking for a while until they were out of the central area of the town, now in a much bigger space.

Suddenly, the two Grandmasters of the caravan chanted a strange string of words, and from their shadows 2 massive beasts, easily 4-5 meters tall, appeared out of nowhere.

Kale was taken aback; this was the first time he had seen the Beast summoning a Tamer.

His green eyes shone with delight; it made sense that both Grandmasters were Tamers; not only that, but most of the Master-rank Individuals on this journey were Tamers, too.

One was a massive deer with an imposing grandeur, its body covered in strange greenish vines; its eyes had a strangely friendly look despite the grand shadow it cast on the ground. It had large antlers which seemed like the spreading branches of a tree.

The Beast of the other Grandmaster Tamer seemed to be a kind of Dark green leopard, but its eyes were anything but friendly, akin to those of a predator ready to pounce on its prey.

It took a moment, but Kale eventually managed to recognise these two Ravager-rank Beasts; they were called Vine Deer and Pouncing Leopard, respectively.
