"I’ll get it for you immediately," he said seriously. "Is it a talisman? Equipment? Anything you want, I’ll buy it."

Hearing his anxious tone, Gwen suddenly smiled mischievously.

"It’s not something you can give me permanently," she replied slowly. "But I’d happily accept it if you lend it to me sometimes."

James suddenly had a terrible feeling.

Sure enough, Gwen smiled brightly and said:

"I’ve started liking your sister quite a lot."

The moment those words left her mouth, James’s entire expression turned stone-like.

After a few seconds, he finally spoke stiffly.

"Lana is not an object you can borrow."

Gwen nodded thoughtfully. "You have a point."

Then she suddenly fell into deep thought before clapping her hands lightly.

"How about this instead? Whenever you go visit your sister in the future, you have to bring me along too."

The moment she said that, James immediately became speechless.

Meanwhile, Gwen looked at him with a playful smile before casually adding:

"What can I do? I think I like her even more than you now."

The satisfied smile on her face resembled a cat that had successfully stolen someone else’s favorite treasure.

"So now you don’t love me anymore?" James complained dramatically while staring at Gwen in disbelief. "You’re already eyeing my sister instead? You truly are a heartless woman."

He clutched his chest exaggeratedly before continuing in a wounded tone.

"I came here ready to offer you my heart, and now you’re already interested in someone else."

Gwen immediately rolled her eyes at his nonsense, though the corners of her lips twitched upward slightly.

"Just for few nights I won’t hog her for long time."

James narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"You know," he muttered while staring at her carefully, "your expression is saying something completely different from your words."

Gwen instinctively touched her face before quickly looking away.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about," she replied calmly.

Unfortunately, the sly smile lingering on her lips completely betrayed her.

Seeing that expression, James immediately shook his head seriously.

"No," he declared firmly. "I absolutely cannot bring you home unless we have an official relationship."

Gwen crossed her arms lazily.

"Fine then," she replied casually. "I’ll just invite Miss Lana directly myself and separate her from you."

The moment she said those words, James instantly became furious.

He pointed at Gwen dramatically.

"You... you..."

However, he could not continue speaking.

After all, he still remembered clearly that he was the one who had hurt Gwen repeatedly in the first place.

And more importantly... he still remembered Lana’s final words before leaving.

"Be more mature."

The moment that thought surfaced in his mind, James instantly deflated.

Meanwhile, Gwen secretly bit her lips to stop herself from laughing.

Watching this emotionally awkward man struggle so badly somehow felt unexpectedly adorable.

A few seconds later, James suddenly walked forward quietly before wrapping his arms around her.

His voice became much softer than before.

"I’m sorry," he whispered honestly. "I kept hurting you over and over again without realizing it."

The warmth from his embrace caused Gwen’s body to stiffen briefly.

James lowered his head slightly against her shoulder before continuing.

"I was truly inconsiderate."

Then he suddenly spoke with complete seriousness.

"In the future, if I start saying stupid nonsense again, just slap me immediately and knock the stupidity out of my head."

The moment he said those words so sincerely, Gwen completely lost control.

She burst into laughter while clutching his shirt.

"You seriously have a ridiculous way with words," she laughed helplessly.

Hearing her laugh again, James secretly heaved a huge sigh of relief.

After remaining in each other’s arms quietly for a while, James suddenly leaned closer and whispered:

"How about this? Let’s secretly go on a date and leave Lana behind."

Gwen thought for a moment before narrowing her eyes suspiciously.

"Only if we bring back gifts for her afterward."

James immediately nodded seriously.

Thus, the two of them shamelessly went on their secret date together.

Meanwhile, Lana remained inside her own room resting quietly.

The battle from earlier had truly taken an enormous toll on her body.

While she rested peacefully, the reconciled lovebirds spent the day outside together.

Not only did they properly communicate this time, but they even returned smiling brightly while carrying numerous shopping bags.

Seeing this, both James and Gwen immediately burst into laughter.

James quickly handed several bags toward her.

"We brought plenty for you already," he replied helplessly.

Only then did Lana finally become satisfied.

The next morning, the three of them prepared to leave the hotel together.
