Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence
Chapter 330 - 317: Sun VS Sun King
In contrast, the Sun King standing at the center of the Domain only grew stronger. The light from his Golden Armor became more brilliant, its flowing radiance seeming to echo the "Sun" above his head as his aura surged steadily higher.
This was the origin of the name "Sun King"—a man who could create his own sun.
"Ed, I’m leaving this to you!"
Raylo ordered.
He knew full well that against an enemy of this level, piecemeal tactics were the most foolish choice. It would only lead to his forces being devoured one by one.
Ed said nothing, his actions serving as his reply.
He took a single large step, shielding Raylo behind him. The Long Sword in his hand hummed as he single-handedly faced the dozens of Undead Knights, who moved with ever-increasing speed under the influence of the Domain.
Meanwhile, standing within a heatwave intense enough to melt steel, Raylo took an ancient-looking horn from his person.
The Soul Horn.
He brought the Horn to his lips, channeled his Magic Power, and blew.
The moment the Horn sounded, a brilliant blue starlight suddenly bloomed within the scorching Solar Domain.
Within the starlight, a tall figure slowly materialized.
He was clad in a suit of Full Body Armor that seemed to have been Forged from Night and Stars. Every joint of the Armor was adorned with faintly glowing motes of starlight.
In his hands, he held a massive Two-Handed Greatsword, its blade carved from a single, pure piece of Sapphire, with a light like a river of stars flowing across its surface.
Beneath his faceplate, no facial features were visible; only two points of ethereal blue Soul Fire burned silently.
The Starfall Knight!
The moment the Starfall Knight appeared, he raised his Sapphire Greatsword high.
The next second, with him at its center, another Domain brazenly unfurled!
The tomb’s ceiling, once shrouded by the golden sun, now looked as if it had been doused in thick ink as a deep night sky rapidly spread across it.
Dazzling Stars lit up one by one in the night sky, forming magnificent Star Maps.
Cool, gentle starlight cascaded down, standing in defiance of the scorching sunlight.
The Meteor Domain!
The entire massive tomb chamber was split into two clearly distinct halves by the two diametrically opposed Domains.
One half was daylight, with the Golden Sun hanging high and churning with monstrous heatwaves.
The other half was a night sky, with brilliant stars shining and scattering their light.
The two disparate powers, gold and blue, clashed and vied for dominance within the chamber, letting out a silent shriek.
With the Meteor Domain pushing back, the pressure that had been crushing the Golden Dragon Sun instantly lessened.
Amun Ra’s burning eyes shifted from the Golden Dragon and fell upon the newly appeared Starfall Knight, the golden flames within them flickering noticeably.
"ROAR!"
With the pressure on him greatly reduced, Sun seized the opportunity. His massive draconic body twisted, and like a moving mountain, he charged straight for the Sun King Amun Ra!
"CLANG!"
Amun Ra finally moved.
With a single hand, he drew the Golden Greatsword that was plunged into the ground beside the throne.
The blade was broad and unadorned, exuding nothing but a sense of pure Power.
He took a step forward. Making no move to dodge or evade, he gripped the sword with both hands and met the charging Giant Dragon with an upward slash!
The movement was simplicity perfected, yet it contained a terrifying power that spoke of a return to absolute fundamentals.
"CLANG!"
A deafening clash of metal rang throughout the entire hall, and the resulting shockwave scraped a layer off the nearby ground.
The force of Sun’s charge, powerful enough to shatter mountains, was brought to a dead stop by that single slash!
The edge of the Golden Greatsword was pressed hard against Sun’s lower jaw, sending sparks flying. A distinct white gash was scraped across his indestructible Dragon Scales.
Sun roared in pain.
But just then, a streak of blue light cut into the battle from the flank.
The Starfall Knight had made his move.
His movements were silent yet swift as Lightning. The Sapphire Greatsword in his hand carved a graceful arc, trailing a torrent of starlight as it struck at Amun Ra’s side.
Amun Ra’s eyes narrowed. Forced to give up his pursuit of Sun, he twisted his wrist and swept the Golden Greatsword out, precisely parrying the deadly strike.
"CLANG!"
Another colossal crash.
Two great Domains battled for supremacy while two mighty combatants engaged in a deadly struggle.
The Golden Dragon Sun used his colossal body as his most savage Weapon. Every lash of his tail and every pounce carried world-shattering might.
The Starfall Knight, in contrast, was like the calmest of Swordsmen, darting across the battlefield at high speed, every thrust of his sword aimed directly at Amun Ra’s vital points.
For a time, the entire hall was filled with the golden gleam of a sword and the blue radiance of stars.
Raylo stood at the edge of the battlefield, his eyes narrowed, calmly observing the fight.
He did not rush to join the fray. Amun Ra, after all, had once been a Catastrophe Level expert. Even after a thousand years of dormancy, with only Domain Level Power remaining, he was still not someone Raylo could approach lightly.
He was waiting—waiting for an opportunity to land a killing blow.
His right hand had already quietly closed around a Dragon-shaped Crystal Stone that emitted a golden halo.
It was the Golden Flame Dragon Crystal that Sun had given him before, and sealed within it was a blast of a Golden Dragon’s Origin Dragon Breath.
The battle grew increasingly fierce.
Fighting two against one, Amun Ra was not at a disadvantage in the slightest.
His Swordsmanship was grand and sweeping. Every slash channeled the Power of his Solar Domain, making each blow heavy and searingly hot.
Several new wounds of varying depths had appeared on the Golden Dragon Sun’s body, dripping golden Dragon Blood.
A fine crack had also appeared on the Starfall Knight’s Sapphire Greatsword.
’An opening!’
Just as Amun Ra drove back the Starfall Knight with a slash while simultaneously sidestepping Sun’s sweeping Dragon Tail, an opening appeared. To counter attacks from two directions at once, he had left his chest briefly and completely exposed!
’Now!’
A glint flashed in Raylo’s eyes as he crushed the Golden Flame Dragon Crystal in his hand without hesitation!
"CRACK!"
The Crystal Stone shattered on cue, and a torrent of pure golden Flame, like a primordial beast bursting from its cage, instantly erupted from Raylo’s hand!
This blast of Dragon Breath crossed the nearly one-hundred-meter distance faster than the eye could see, striking Amun Ra square in his wide-open chest!
"THUD!"
Amun Ra took the blast of Origin Dragon Breath head-on.
The Dragon Breath lasted for a full three seconds, pinning Amun Ra’s body in place, unable to move in the slightest.
Under the impact of this supremely masculine and unyielding Power, the two furiously burning orbs of Soul Fire in his eyes began to flicker violently.
"ROAR!"
The Golden Dragon Sun seized this priceless opportunity. It let out a heaven-shaking roar, and its Dragon Tail, thicker than a Siege Hammer, whistled through the air as it viciously lashed Amun Ra’s body!
"BOOM!"
With a tremendous bang, the Sun King Amun Ra was sent flying like a cannonball.
He smashed through the thick wall at the back of the tomb, leaving a huge, man-shaped hole in the Solid rock formation beyond. Collapsing boulders rained down, burying him beneath them.
The entire hall instantly fell silent.
’Is it over?’
Raylo, holding his Divine Weapon Broken Flow, stared intently at the rubble-choked hole, not relaxing in the slightest.
Suddenly, a Spiritual Shock even more violent than before erupted from the ruins!
Raylo let out a muffled groan. He felt as if his brain had been viciously struck by a red-hot hammer, and his vision began to go dark. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Beside him, Ed dropped directly to one knee, blood seeping from his eyes, ears, nostrils, and mouth.
Even the movements of the Golden Dragon Sun and the Starfall Knight faltered for a moment.
The pile of rubble exploded.
Amun Ra’s figure appeared once more.
A massive, charred wound gaped on his body, and the Soul Fire in his eyes had dimmed considerably. Clearly, that last blow had made him pay a heavy price.
But he was still standing.
This time, his flaming eyes did not look at Raylo or Sun, but past them, toward the space behind the Golden Throne.
Ten thirty-meter-tall Giant Puppets stood there silently.
Amun Ra raised his ruined right hand, using his Spiritual Power to call upon these Giant Puppets he had left behind.
In response to his call, the eyes of the ten Giant Puppets lit up one by one with a golden glow.
The war machines, dormant for a millennium, seemed about to awaken.
If these ten hill-sized Giant Puppets were to join the battle...
