"Now that I’ve successfully achieved Ascension to Divinity, my Divinity and Spiritual essence have synchronized and attuned with my Half-Body."

"You could say we’re a single individual, but you could also say we’re different individuals. After all, as they say in the Empire, no two leaves in the world are exactly alike. However, the will and thoughts of my Half-Body and I are generally aligned."

"It’s a very strange sensation. I always have the feeling that I’m looking at myself, talking to myself."

"All in all, it’s a rather indescribable feeling."

Sophie listened to Adelaide, nodding as if this was exactly what she’d expected.

"I see. That’s not surprising. After all, the only reason we were able to reawaken and act in the mortal world again was by relying on the Power of our Half-Bodies."

"So, Adelaide, can you communicate freely with your Half-Body now?"

"And even open a Star Road through this connection?"

Sophie stared intently at Adelaide.

Adelaide hesitated for a moment, then sighed helplessly.

"I can!"

"But honestly, Sophie, unless there’s a major upheaval, I’m not in favor of introducing the Empire’s Power to that world."

"But now... I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or fate."

"The world where my Half-Body resides—the Skuoao ’Square’ World—is now facing a huge problem."

Upon hearing this, Sophie froze, her expression turning blank.

After all, since she hadn’t yet achieved divinity, Sophie’s connection with her Half-Body wasn’t particularly strong. As a result, it had been a long time since she’d received any one-sided Spiritual messages from it.

Moreover, Sophie had been completely preoccupied with earning merit in the very secluded Crimson World and hadn’t had time to extricate herself. As a result, she genuinely knew nothing about the situation in the other world.

"How could the Square World be in trouble?"

"That world is supposed to be far stronger than our old one, the Karte World, right?"

"Two Main Gods, Fantasy and Truth... as twin Deities, their combined Power might even rival that of a Dominator, according to the power system of the Deities that we now understand."

"How could a world like that encounter a huge problem?"

In the Star Empire, the power structure of the Deities had long since been made public.

Therefore, by combining this with the knowledge their Half-Bodies (who were Deities themselves) could acquire, both of them finally understood that the two Main Gods of the Square World were no ordinary Main Gods.

Because Fantasy and Truth truly controlled the entire Square World.

Even if the two of them hadn’t achieved complete control over the Mana Will, they were likely very close.

After all, the two of them had turned the entire world into a chessboard they could manipulate.

Upon their own successful Ascension to Divinity, Adelaide’s and Sophie’s Half-Bodies had personally met these two Main Gods.

They had even personally witnessed the two Main Gods playing a game against each other on a wondrous, divine chessboard.

The two siblings—one would create labyrinths and Underground Cities, while the other would create Demons and the power system for Adventurers. They even decided the fates of many Adventurers by rolling dice.

At the time, the mere sight of this had been enough to fill Adelaide’s and Sophie’s Half-Bodies with terror.

’After all, was our own Ascension to Divinity also decided by a roll of the dice from these two Main Gods?’

The very thought was horrifying to them.

Fortunately, however, they both managed to pull through. They even became Subordinate Gods, attendants to the two Main Gods of the Skuoao ’Square Chessboard’ World.

Only by truly interacting with these two Main Gods could they grasp the true terror of these two Deities.

The God of Fantasy forged and created labyrinths, treasures, traps, and even Demons. Her Mighty Power needs no further explanation.

The God of Truth was responsible for forging different power systems for Adventurers. He also categorized them, placing any Adventurer who caught his eye onto the chessboard to play against Fantasy.

In short, these two were practically the true Dominators of the Square World and its so-called Gods of Destiny.

As long as one was in the world of the Square Chessboard and wished to gain Extraordinary Power, the Human Race had only one path: become an Adventurer in the labyrinths of the Underground Cities.

And once someone became an Adventurer and grew powerful enough, even if they hadn’t been noticed by the two gods before, they inevitably would be. They would naturally become pawns for their entertainment.

It must be said, in a relatively isolated world, the lives of Deities are exceedingly dull.

It’s only natural that such a situation would arise.

However, this world was still vastly different from the Karte World.

After all, back in the Karte World, the emergence of the Underground Cities also involved the intervention of Deities. But the Master of the World they once served, who was also the world’s only Main God, didn’t possess the absolute Power to control the world’s fate like Fantasy and Truth did.

If he truly had such power, the two of them would never have ended up as that Main God’s secret test subjects.

Therefore, the Adventurer system in the Karte World was, at best, the result of all the Deities collectively rewriting the Rule Power of the Mana Will.

Parallel World.

It must be said, after absorbing a considerable amount of knowledge from the Star Empire’s Divine Favored, Adelaide and Sophie now understood the nature of these two worlds.

"Is that so hard to understand?"

"The Blood God of the Crimson World was obviously more powerful than those two, yet didn’t he still encounter our Star Empire in the end?"

Adelaide sighed.

Sophie was taken aback, then she frowned.

"So, Adelaide, when you say the Square World is in trouble... do you mean it has encountered a civilization war?"

Adelaide shook her head.

"No, but it’s not far off. It started about ten years ago."

"The Square World encountered a bizarre Giant God, coiled and looming just outside the world."

"This Giant God, from my current perspective, is likely one of the Ancient Deities, similar to the Blood God or the Dragon God."

"At some unknown point, He just abruptly appeared outside the Square World’s Star Realm. His body is pitch-black, like a giant serpent coiled into a ball."

"He simply hovers there in the Star Realm outside the world, not moving an inch and showing no signs of awakening. Yet His terrifying aura alone is enough to make most Deities afraid to approach."

"Fantasy and Truth both tried to intervene, but this Giant God turned them back without success, all while remaining unawakened."

"If that was all there was to it, it would have been fine."

"After all, this wandering, slumbering Giant Serpent God did not launch a direct attack on the Deities."

"But then something bizarre happened. Right after this Giant Serpent God’s Descent in the Square World’s Star Realm, numerous snake-like creatures in the mortal realm began to evolve at an incredible rate."

"And so, the race known as the Snake People emerged."

"It would be one thing if this race possessed wisdom and reason, but they don’t."

"They are like Demons, filled with an extreme, murderous urge toward all creatures of flesh and blood."

"In the beginning, these monsters weren’t very powerful, and the situation could be kept under control by having Adventurers hunt them."

"But then the situation became rather troublesome."

"As time passed, the Snake People grew increasingly powerful. What’s more, their venom could continuously infect other creatures."

"Whether it was an Adventurer of the Human Race or a Demon, any living being bitten by the snakes would quickly fall and transform into one of the Snake People."

"Of course, it wouldn’t be a major issue if this was only happening in the mortal realm."

"But the most terrifying part is that now, in the Star Realm, Deities have begun showing signs of this ’serpentification’ without any warning."

"Even when Fantasy and Truth intervened with the Power of the Mana Will, they’ve only managed to suppress the malevolent corruption of three Deities."

"The situation has become extremely serious. Fantasy and Truth don’t even have time for their game of chess anymore. They’re focusing all their efforts on trying to create a Barrier to seal off the terrifying corrosion seeping into the Square World from this Giant God in the Star Realm."

Adelaide continued to gravely explain the situation in the Square World, but by now Sophie was completely stunned, unsure of how to respond.

Only when Adelaide had finished explaining everything in detail did Sophie finally snap out of it.

"So, in the Square World right now... our Half-Bodies have been in danger this whole time?!"

"Then, Your Majesty Adelaide, what in the world are you still hesitating for?"

Sophie’s eyes were wide with disbelief, and she spoke through gritted teeth.

"Hesitating about what?"

Adelaide spread her hands helplessly.

"I only just achieved my Ascension to Divinity, didn’t I? I haven’t had a chance to discuss it with you yet."

Sophie was taken aback for a moment, then she understood.

And so, after discussing some of the details, the two of them finally decided to come clean to the Pantheon.

As for whether the Star Empire would intervene in such a troublesome affair, that would ultimately be up to the Dragon God to decide.
