Redwood Hotel

After completing the practice, I went to the bathroom. The bath lasted for 20 minutes.

Later, I left the hotel after getting ready. It’s time to explore the new city.

The capital is a vast territory. You cannot just explore the city in a single day. I’m wearing a mask.

I still have doubts that Magic Lords could be here. I came to the main street. My gaze immediately fell on the flying vehicles and passersby.

The scar-faced wizard, the lean physique wizard, the brown-haired man, and two others were staying in the restaurant next to the Redwood Hotel.

The hotel name was Blue Sky. The scar-faced man and the others had been waiting since the morning.

"Do you think he will come out?" The lean physique wizard asked.

The scar-faced man raised his head and said, "We have not seen his face. I’m afraid he may have left."

Hearing that, the brown-haired man said, "We had decided not to target him anymore. Why did you change your mind?"

Hearing that, the scar-faced wizard said, "I thought about taking one more chance. The city is going to be under strict rules because of the tournament."

"We may not be able to find another target soon. So it’s best we try to find the masked man today as well," he added.

The lean physique wizard and the brown-haired man looked at each other. They decided to believe in him.

The other two wizards are like supporters. They usually follow the three.

Suddenly, one of the supporters saw the masked man. He had short black hair and eyes. He was in disbelief at first. Then he looked carefully at the person.

He recognized the masked man who was their target.

"He is here," he uttered, pointing towards the hotel exit.

"Hmmm," the scar-faced wizard muttered. Then everyone followed his finger and saw the masked man outside the hotel.

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

"He is here. I was not wrong," the scar-faced wizard said.

The lean physique wizard and the brown-haired one smiled. They were quite relieved. They had taken a gamble.

Magic Lords usually are rich. To stay in the Redwood Hotel requires some wealth. They could confirm that their assumptions were right.

They could go after their target right now. They waited silently and didn’t move from their spot. They saw the masked man walking along the street.

They had no doubt that it was the same person. The mask was a unique white mask. They didn’t feel any presence from the person, just like yesterday.

Not even a trace of mana was leaking from the body. It was just like yesterday. It required exceptional control.

Otherwise, they cannot roam freely in public. The coercion would destroy everything. Then they saw the masked man entering the restaurant opposite to them.

The staff then said, "It’s official information gathered in this shop. It’s sold by our shop."

A look of understanding dawned on me. So they spy on their customers to collect intel. I was so close to releasing the Zero Puppet.

There must be a wizard here with unique magic power in the shop. I felt fortunate I didn’t release the Zero Puppet without thinking further.

I calmed my heart. Then I looked at the staff and asked about the cost. The information was not for free.
