Forest

After getting ready, I appeared outside in the forest. I used the system to scan the surroundings.

Seeing that there was no threat around, I flew over a nearby tree and landed on a branch.

Then I spent half an hour there to observe the place. There were no wizards or monsters in the vicinity. The place seemed to be an ordinary forest.

But I had this uneasy feeling. I didn't know why. Once again, I used the system's probe function. The system results came back negative.

I dismissed the negative thoughts. Then I appeared in mid-air. I brought the raven aircraft out and entered inside.

A few minutes later,

I resumed the journey. The raven aircraft was flying in the sky. I kept an eye on the blue sky outside. There was no sign of the dark clouds covering the sky again.

I didn't put the aircraft in stealth mode. Instead, I took control and operated it carefully.

Time passed,

The green forest seemed to stretch endlessly across the area.

At noon, something strange happened. I noticed a familiar scene passing by.

A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. I continued to fly the aircraft. It didn't take long for me to notice the problem.

I was coming back to the same place again. It appeared I was stuck inside some loop. The aircraft was not coming out of the loop.

"What kind of magic spell is this?" I asked myself.

"System, what's going on?" I asked the system.

I had thought the system would warn me. But what is happening now?

[Ding! The host is experiencing a natural phenomenon.]

[Ding! The host is not under attack. The phenomenon will disappear soon.]

The system's voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I heaved a sigh of relief. For a second, I had thought I was in some danger.

It appeared it was not a threat, but a magical wonder of the world. Then I continued to pilot the aircraft.

Swoosh!

The aircraft continued to move forward. It didn't take long for the loop to end. I noticed the clear sky ahead.

I sighed again. I had underestimated the wonders of the world. If I continued to travel, I would encounter more wonders of the world.

One hour later,

The green forest came to an end. There was a rocky, barren land ahead. When the aircraft left the area, I looked back. My gaze fell on the green forest.

There were no monsters or wizards in the forest, yet it held secrets. If I had time, I would have explored the reason behind the loop.

Then I turned around and continued with the flight.

The aircraft was going over rocky land. Rocks of uniform sizes were protruding from the earth's surface. The color of the rocks was a rare white.

It was another amazing place. As the aircraft continued to fly forward, I spotted a huge lake. The lake stretched across miles. I couldn't see the end.

To be on the safe side, I flew the aircraft above the clouds. Flying at a low altitude could invite danger.

When the aircraft was reaching the lake, my eyes flashed with a glint. I used the system's probe function to scan the lake.

[Ding! A 12th Order Monster Squid is living in the lake along with other water monsters.]

The system's voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, my heart stirred. Just when I thought the lake was extraordinary, the system results came in.

Boom!

The blue water of the lake stirred. The next second, a monstrous tentacle emerged from the lake. The tentacle shot straight toward the aircraft.

The speed was so fast that if I didn't take action, the aircraft would be hit. The next second, I appeared inside the System Space along with the Raven Aircraft.

I turned off the aircraft and stepped outside. The new function of the system was really helping me out. Then I rushed to the Gregor Mansion.

Outside,

The tentacle hit the empty air. The aircraft was nowhere to be found. The 12th Order Monster Squid resting deep in the lake was surprised.

It had human-like intelligence. It was sure that it had spotted a wizard aircraft. It had recognized it correctly.

Because many broken aircraft and airships of various sizes were scattered at the bottom of the lake.

Undoubtedly, it was the work of the 12th Order Monster Squid. It had attacked and destroyed most of the flying vehicles that tried to cross the great lake.

There were exceptions. The Monster Squid didn't target airships or aircraft with a Forbidden Wizard or an Elder Level Powerhouse inside.

If it had attacked them, they would have evaporated the whole great lake with their rule power. The Monster Squid was clever.

But this time, it had used its tentacles to probe the aircraft, yet the aircraft disappeared. The Monster suspected whether a Forbidden Wizard or an Elder Level Powerhouse was inside.

It couldn't sense them earlier. With confusion, the Monster Squid retracted its tentacles. In the blink of an eye, the Great Lake returned to normal.

Meanwhile,

Inside the control room of the Gregor Mansion, I was watching the scene in the mirror. I was speechless. It was another wonder to see a monster of such scale.

It is hard to come across such monsters. Monsters with a low bloodline wouldn't be able to break through to reach a higher order.

The 12th Order Monster Squid clearly possessed a super-grade bloodline. To think it was able to live freely. I wondered whether anyone had tried to catch it.

I had a feeling that someone must have noticed the monster earlier. It could be someone's pet monster.

Then I appeared outside. I glanced at the lake before continuing with the journey. I tried to cross the great lake as fast as possible.

But I could feel something moving under the lake at the same speed.

I casually glanced at the lake. I could see a huge monster frame moving underneath the water.

It showed that the great lake's depth was no joke. Such a huge monster could live there.

I didn't want to get dragged into the lake, so I increased my speed.
