The guards had allowed me to enter. Then I started walking around the city. It’s a new place. I wanted to rest so that I could continue with the journey later.

After looking around a few streets, I came to know about the good hotels. Most of them are located near the city gate.

Yet the main ones are located at the center of the city. I don’t need to be so high-profile. I need a place to fool others.

I’m going to stay inside the Gregor Mansion. It’s just that the city atmosphere lightens the mood. Otherwise, I would have found a secluded location to hide.

Then I walked up to a decent inn near the city gate. The inn is a three-story building with a new paint job. No wonder everyone talked nicely about it.

I walked into the place and met with the inn manager. The manager is a middle-aged man. He wanted to see my temporary ID.

I gave the ID to him. The middle-aged man saw the ID information. He verified the details with his own database.

Then he confirmed the details with the city administration database. He started negotiating the price.

In the end, the price was decided: 100 low-grade mana stones per day and night. If it were in the middle of the city, the price would be doubled.

After hearing the middle-aged man, I paid the mana stones. Then I got the room key and started walking towards the elevator.

I came to the second-floor room. Then I found my room and used the room key to enter.

After walking inside the room, I shut the door. Then I started using the system probe function. The room was neat and clean.

I checked the bedroom. I found the bedsheets were not new. They were reused. Then I checked other places.

I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion and entered the bedroom to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up and noticed the mansion bedroom. After getting out of the bed, I started doing my morning routine.

I appeared in the hotel room after getting ready. It’s time to explore the city. I left the room and came to the entrance.

My gaze fell on the inn manager. The inn manager smiled at me. So I smiled back.

Then I exited the building. My gaze fell on the shops on the opposite side of the street. There are good restaurants and other eateries.

I selected the busiest one. I crossed the road and walked to the popular restaurant. I found that there were no tables available.

People were coming and going. So I waited for a few minutes before finding an empty seat. Then I ordered a cup of coffee.

After doing that, I started listening to people’s conversations. Surprisingly, I heard about the Mage Union from people’s mouths.

I raised my eyebrows. I didn’t expect to hear about the Mage Union. I had not heard about it from others in the previous city.

The staff brought me a cup of coffee. I started enjoying the coffee. At the same time, I was hearing the conversation of the people.

I found out why they were talking about the Mage Union. Most of the wizards here are bloodline wizards. There is a Bloodline Magic Tower in the Mage Union.

Like the Elemental Towers, it’s one of the powerful magic towers. It’s just that I didn’t cross paths with them.

My encounters were against the Wind Elemental Tower and the Flame Elemental Tower. It took up most of my time.

When I finished with the coffee, I left the shop. It’s good to know that the Mage Union’s influence has spread this far.

The bloodline wizards here are aiming to join the Bloodline Tower in the Mage Union one day.

I approached a cab driver. I asked him to take me around the city. I wanted to explore the place. The driver understood that I was from somewhere else.

So he agreed and a price was decided.

The driver took me around the city and showed me important places. There are monuments of powerful bloodline monsters.

I had not seen monuments for monsters before. Here, knowledge about the monsters is an important part of life.

Especially, the knowledge of the bloodline monsters is considered important in the bloodline wizard path. I learned about new things by coming to the city.

From time to time, I came across powerful bloodline wizards in the city. For example, the Magic Lords and the Forbidden Wizards.

They are roaming the city like normal citizens. Such a scene surprised me the most. You can’t find the Forbidden Wizards roaming the Mage Union.

That evening, I came to the inn and went to my room to rest.

The inn manager noted it down after seeing the guest going back to the room. That night, he updated the guest information in the city database.

Goldkeep City appeared to be a fun city. But there are undercurrents surging. The city administration is keeping an eye on every outsider.

If any situation arises, the city administration should be ready to act.

Outside the city,

The situation is totally different. Those who were unable to afford to live in the city are staying in makeshift tents.

Then it exactly happened. During the midnight hours, some of the makeshift tents were attacked. They seemed to have some wealth compared to others.

Time passed.

Blood spilled. The wandering wizards were attacked. Some of them were injured and fainted. These clashes were loud.

Yet none of them used a magic spell to fight. They were using brute force and knives. No one dared to use a magic spell attack here.

Otherwise, the city guards would wipe them out.

That’s why they resort to brute force fights. After some time, the brute force fight comes to an end.
