Deep Blue Sea

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I woke up from the noise of the spell attack. When I opened my eyes, I found out that I had slept in front of the control mirror.

Then I saw what was going on outside. It was dark, but I could see the monsters in the mirror. I used the system’s probe function.

[Ding! Sea Eel Monsters. One of the dangerous sea creatures.]

Hearing the system’s voice sounding in my mind, I felt glad that I was here. Otherwise, the trip would have been a series of sleepless nights.

I decided not to watch it anymore. I stood up and went to the room to sleep.

Outside

Boom!

A loud, deafening noise continued to occur. More than a hundred lower-middle and middle-upper order monsters were killed.

The 9th and 10th Order Eel Monsters had yet to appear outside. The wizards were already tired out. They didn’t want to use their reserves completely.

But if the situation went on, they would end up using the reserves completely.

Old man Gary saw this as well. His mouth twitched. Most of the people had genuine backgrounds. If something happened to them, the forces behind them could use a Fate Wizard to check.

He didn’t want to make things difficult for everyone.

"Alright, everyone. Take a rest for this time period," he said to everyone.

Sigh!

Hearing that, everyone sighed in relief.

A blue layer started covering the ship the next second. Seeing that, everyone understood that the protective cover was up.

Hereafter, they could rest. The wizards slumped on the deck. Some of them sat cross-legged on the ground to recover their mana.

It didn’t take long for a few people in the crowd to notice that the masked man didn’t appear today. The masked man had been noticed by a few passengers.

They had never seen him take any action. Some of them had decided to confront the person. But to their surprise, the masked man didn’t come.

Out of curiosity, a few wizards went to check the cabin rooms. They wondered whether he was resting inside. Their eyes flared up with anger thinking about it.

But to their surprise and shock, no one was inside the cabins. The cabin rooms were empty. To verify, they went to the other rooms as well.

But all those rooms were empty. The wizards were shocked. Then they checked the storerooms and the operator room as well.

The pilot and others were shocked. Then they learned that one of the passengers was missing. The news quickly spread to others.

Everyone was shocked. They didn’t know what had happened to the masked man. No fight incident had happened among them.

It was only the second night, yet the masked man was missing. Some of the passengers were scared and confused.

The murmuring continued to happen among the crowd. Instead of replenishing their mana, they were heavily gossiping.

Soon, the murmurs reached the ears of old man Gary. He was busy observing the seas. He hadn’t paid attention to the deck.

But the continuous noise disturbed him. He then turned towards the deck and asked what was going on.

Then he understood that the masked man’s disappearance had been noticed by the passengers. If he said the masked man was dead, a commotion could occur.

He decided to lie.

"The masked man is another forbidden wizard of ours. He is secretly protecting the ship. Do you think one Forbidden Wizard was enough to protect the ship?" Gary said to them.

A look of understanding dawned on most of them.

But the locals were different. There were wizards from Blue Falls City as well. They knew about the Montex Shipping Company.

They used to operate the ship with only one guardian. Not only that, some among them had seen the Masked Man talking with the Young Master of the Patrick Family and Manager Robert back at the port.

So they were sure that the masked man was not a guardian. They understood that something bad had befallen the masked man. It was likely related to Guardian Gary.

The locals chose to stay silent. They were not foolish enough to offend Guardian Gary. Especially on the ship here, one mistake could cost them their lives. They decided to forget this matter.

Old man Gary didn’t think about the locals. He knew they wouldn’t dare to reveal anything. He then focused on the seas.

Time passed,

The daytime came. The wizards went back to their cabin rooms. Some stayed behind on the deck. Surprisingly, there was no follow-up attack last night.

The eel monsters didn’t attack them. So the nighttime went peacefully. Most of them recovered their mana.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I woke up from sleep. Then I started doing my morning routine.

Later, I appeared in front of the control mirror.

I saw it was bright daylight. The daylight passed through the seawater’s surface and reached further depths.

I immediately thought of the blue water pearl. I took the blue water pearl outside. I could use the treasure to breathe underwater.

I guessed it was the right time to check. But Guardian Gary could use his mental power to scan the place.

Then I decided to take the risk.

Swoosh!

I appeared outside on top of the anchor. The seawater covered me. Then I infused mana into the blue water pearl in my hand.

The next second, the blue water pearl activated. A blue layer covered my body. There was no water inside the blue layer; it was expelled. I could breathe in as usual again. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

A bright smile appeared on my face.

Then I saw large fish going past me. I immediately caught a few of them and put them inside the system space.

After catching 50 more fish, I appeared inside the system space. In the blue grid, the different fish were on the ground.

I sensed the mana power from the bodies of the fish. It was filled with rich nutrients. I decided to cook here and eat them.

Old man Gary felt something was wrong. He saw that the sea groups were disturbed. It only happens when another predator monster appears here.
