Grinding EXP From Fireball Skill
Chapter 205: Slightly Better
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Countless Wind Blades struck Li Wei.
CRACK! CRACK!
Under the assault of the Thousand-Foot Storm, cracks began to form all over Li Wei’s Invisible Armor.
He paid it no mind, shooting straight for the sky.
He flew higher and higher until he was out of the Thousand-Foot Storm’s range.
Tyr’s gaze sharpened. With a beat of the Wind Elf Wings on his back, he shot into the sky after him.
"You’re not getting away!"
Tyr gave chase, pursuing Li Wei.
The crowd on the ground looked up at the sky, watching the two of them speed off into the distance.
Before long, the two figures vanished from sight.
Envious expressions appeared on the faces of the onlookers, all of them jealous of a Mage’s ability to fly.
Tyr kept accelerating, pushing himself to his limit, but could only watch as Li Wei steadily pulled away.
He simply couldn’t catch up.
Li Wei was just too fast.
Tyr took out a Magic Scroll, but hesitated.
Even if he used a Space Teleportation Scroll, there was no guarantee he could catch up to Li Wei.
As Tyr hesitated, Li Wei’s figure almost disappeared from view completely.
He sighed and put the Magic Scroll away.
Tyr felt a wave of helplessness. It was the first time he’d ever encountered a Mage who could fly that fast.
’What kind of normal Mage flies like that?’
Tyr glanced around, then flew back to Dragon Fall Slope.
’I’m already here,’ he thought. ’Can’t go back empty-handed.’
He decided to take a look inside the Secret Realm.
Seeing Tyr return, James hurried to greet him with a bow. "Grand Mage."
Tyr glanced at him and nodded.
He walked straight towards the Secret Realm.
James’s expression flickered. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he swallowed the words before they could escape his lips.
He had no way of stopping Tyr.
Tyr stepped into the Secret Realm.
A short while later, he came back out.
His expression was grim.
James and the others saw his expression and immediately averted their gazes, pretending not to notice.
Even so, they were curious about what Tyr had encountered within the Secret Realm.
After a moment’s thought, Tyr took to the air, ready to leave.
This Secret Realm was more dangerous than it appeared. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
He didn’t dare explore it too deeply.
The moment he entered, he had sensed a massive Magic Array spanning the entire Secret Realm.
The more he sensed of it, the more his heart pounded with alarm.
In the end, he had chosen to exit the Secret Realm immediately, not daring to go any deeper.
This Secret Realm was by no means an ownerless domain.
The others, who couldn’t perceive the Magic Array, felt no sense of reverence for the Secret Realm.
The ignorant are fearless.
Just as Tyr took to the air, he heard a whistling sound approaching rapidly.
"What is that?"
He looked up and peered into the distance.
A streak of light was closing in fast.
WHOOSH!
As it drew near, he finally saw it clearly.
It was a Fireball.
A massive Fireball over three meters in diameter!
In that instant, a chilling premonition seized Tyr’s heart.
His instincts screamed at him that if the Fireball hit, death was certain.
"Assault Storm!"
"Wind Wall!"
"Wind Spirit Protection!"
BAM! BOOM!
The Super Fireball exploded in midair, its volume instantly swelling by several hundred times.
The powerful shockwave instantly vaporized the surrounding air.
Rings of white shockwaves expanded outward, toppling trees and sending rocks flying.
The aftershocks of the blast left the onlookers seeing stars, and the shockwave knocked many of them off their feet and onto the ground.
Everyone stared in terror at the massive fireball engulfing the sky.
"Grand Mage Tyr!"
Someone screamed in terror.
Only then did everyone realize the Fireball’s target had been Tyr.
A wave of anxiety washed over the crowd.
Hundreds of meters away, Tyr stood on a hillside, a part of his Mage Robe scorched.
His face was impassive, his eyes frigid.
He had come terrifyingly close to dying in that blast.
He had tried to block the Super Fireball.
He had cast his own spells to detonate it prematurely.
He hadn’t expected that even with a premature detonation, the terrifying explosive power would be more than he could handle.
His Magic Shield had been torn to shreds in an instant.
At the critical moment, a life-saving Magic Item he wore—a Teleportation Pendant—had activated.
Tyr opened his hand, and the shattered Teleportation Pendant fell to the ground, disappearing into the soil.
The Teleportation Pendant was his most precious Magic Item.
It was worth a fortune.
Tyr gazed into the distance.
Tier One Magic! Eagle Eye Skill!
His eyes began to glow with a cyan light.
Tyr spotted Li Wei, over a thousand meters away.
His fists clenched, and the Magic Staff in his hand trembled with his rage.
Tyr hadn’t expected that the Armored Man, who had already fled, would actually dare to return and attack him.
The attack had cost him dearly.
Li Wei gazed at the center of the explosion, but he couldn’t see Tyr’s figure.
’Is he dead?’
He wasn’t sure.
After a moment’s hesitation, he turned and left immediately.
Real men don’t look at explosions.
’Besides, I’ll find out whether Tyr is dead or not once I get back to Maple City.’
’There’s no need to risk going back.’
’What if Tyr isn’t dead? Going back would be like walking straight into a trap.’
His Invisible Armor was already mostly shattered from withstanding Tyr’s Thousand-Foot Storm to escape.
’And Tyr hasn’t even used a Tier Four Spell yet.’
’Go back and eat one of his ultimate attacks? No thanks.’
Li Wei wasn’t that stupid.
Tyr watched Li Wei fly away, a look of disappointment on his face.
He had been hoping Li Wei would come back.
Casting a Tier Four Spell took time.
If Li Wei had shown any sign of coming back, Tyr would have made sure he took the full brunt of a Tier Four Spell.
Tyr was also surprised that his Thousand-Foot Storm hadn’t been able to kill Li Wei.
An ordinary Tier Three Magic Shield would have been no match for his Thousand-Foot Storm.
Tyr realized that the Armored Man not only possessed terrifying Attack Power, but also had astounding Defense Power.
Once he saw that Li Wei was truly gone for good, Tyr walked down the hillside.
"Grand Mage, it’s a relief to see you’re unharmed!"
Mende exclaimed, seeing Tyr approach.
Tyr’s expression was grim as he looked at James. "Who is the Armored Man’s true identity?"
James felt the pressure emanating from his gaze.
He gritted his teeth. "I don’t know."
"You’re the Vice President of the Mage Association in Frozen Earth City. You should know who’s backing him."
Tyr smiled, a sight that sent a chill down James’s spine.
"Yes, I do know."
Tyr turned and left.
He headed toward Maple City.
When he was first searching for the murderer, Tyr had learned the culprit was in Maple City, which immediately made him suspect the Armored Man.
But he was never able to discover the Armored Man’s true identity.
There was nothing he could do about it.
Now, the Armored Man’s true identity was no longer important.
Knowing he was the murderer was enough.
Tyr had no intention of going to Torresta.
Torresta would never hand over his disciple.
Furthermore, for some particular reasons, Tyr was unwilling to confront Torresta directly.
Only a select few understood just how terrifying Torresta truly was.
Both Li Wei and Tyr had left.
Seeing this, the onlookers also prepared to leave.
Suddenly, someone discovered that the Shooter who had attacked Li Wei earlier was dead.
He had died silently, without anyone noticing.
No one knew when he had died.
Looking at the Shooter’s corpse, a chill ran down everyone’s spines.
The Armored Man had just become even more mysterious.
They had thought he was merely a brutish Fire Element Mage, but now it seemed the Armored Man’s capabilities were far greater.
The astonishing flying speed the Armored Man had displayed earlier also made them see him in a new light.
Ulap looked at the Shooter’s corpse, his face etched with worry.
"Do we really want to make an enemy of him?"
Mende’s expression was just as grim.
"That’s no longer our decision to make."
