Austin tilted his head as he looked down at her with a grin.

"How many times do I need to remind you not to worry about the little things. I already told you before, didn’t I ? So don’t stress yourself over your territory so much. We’re going to find a way to make your people happy again and I meant what I said."

Hearing this, Rowena’s expression softened into a smile as she rested comfortably on his lap.

Then she murmured loud enough for Austin to hear. "Thank you. For everything you’ve done and I don’t think I can ever say it enough to you."

"You really don’t have to keep thanking me but it’s alright. You’re welcome." Austin replied with a grin and Rowena huffed out a small laugh at that.

The two of them lingered there a while longer until the morning stretched lazily into afternoon.

Eventually, Austin made his way back to his own room, only to find Nora kneeling beside their shared bed.

Her eyes were currently fixed intently on Luna and Austin couldn’t help but wonder if something was wrong.

"What’s wrong?" Austin asked as he stepped closer to her.

"Hubby come. Come see. I think Luna is about to open her eyes." Nora whispered softly as she beckoned her husband to come closer.

Hearing this, Austin immediately crossed the room before kneeling down beside Nora without hesitation.

Then his own gaze settled on their daughter’s small and peaceful face.

For a long moment, nothing happened because Luna simply lay there.

Her tiny fingers curled and uncurled against the blanket whilst she continued breathing softly.

But then, slowly, her eyelids began to flutter open and Austin gasped in surprise.

"Nora." He called out to his wife as his hand reached for hers without looking away from his daughter.

Meanwhile, Nora gripped it tightly whilst her own breath paused as Luna’s eyes opened as the little baby’s eyes opened softly against the soft light of the room before opening fully.

Her cute green eyes stared up at them and Austin whispered softly.

"Hey there little pupcake. It’s me. It’s papa."

Luna stared at his face and this made Austin’s chest tightened with excitement then he noticed the little girl staring at her mother.

"That’s your mama right there. Isn’t she pretty? She’s the most amazing woman in the world. You’re very lucky, you know."

Nora let out a watery laugh as she leaned down so her face hovered closer too.

Her wolf ears twitched and tilted forward as she greeted her daughter as well. "Hello, my love. Hello, Luna. Mama has been waiting so long to see your eyes."

Luna blinked again and her tiny hand twitched against the blanket as she tried to reach out to them but Austin offered her his finger without thinking, and to his surprise, her small fingers curled instinctively around it.

She gripped his finger tightly as though she didn’t want to let go of it and Austin couldn’t help but grin as he murmured to Nora. "My love, Are you seeing her grip? It’s so strong. Just like her mother."

"It seems she’ll be as stubborn as her father too." Nora teased softly and Austin simply rolled his eyes with a smile on his face.

Anyways, the trio stayed like that for a long while, with neither of them willing to look away.

They simply basked in the quiet room as time passed away

Later that night, everyone in the household had settled into sleep and Nora could be seen curled peacefully beside her husband.

Of course, Austin was still awake as he stared up at the ceiling with a satisfied smile still lingering on his face.

In front of him was currently his system screen and he read the words displayed on the screen.

Austin’s smile widened as he stared at the screen before replying to it..
