Chapter 140: Azaria Vs Zorat I

Azaria, as one at the paragon realm, just like others, has a unique sense that allows her to roughly perceive the innate realm of an individual when they are close enough and are not actively concealing their realms themselves.

That Caleb was about to land such a serious blow on her that was able to knock her unconscious, might just be the work of some one-time use artifact, or maybe an armament..... ๐“ฏ๐™ง๐“ฎ๐“ฎ๐’˜๐“ฎ๐™—๐™ฃ๐’๐’—๐’†๐“ต.๐“ฌ๐“ธ๐’Ž

But considering he was currently completely naked up top, she was leaning more towards a hidden artifact.

He might be way stronger than she assumes, but as long as sheโ€™s careful, and she keeps a close watch on anything sudden, sheโ€™s sure to come out of this on top.

She is at the Paragon Realm after all.

"Oh? Are you certain about that?. That I would be the one dying here tonight ?" Zorat teased with a lingering grin on his face.

But seeing Azaria offering no response, and simply watching him like a beast ready to pounce, in her attack stance, with her sword burning hot from compressed manner...

Zorat added, grinning wider..."Come on then.... Entertain me."

At the drop of Zoratโ€™s last word....

Azaria moved so impossibly fast from her position, it looked as if she had vanished, and then directly appeared in front of Zorat, sword already drawn and cleaving through the air at lightning speed as she uttered..... "Empyrial Sword... Grand Sky Cleaver!"

The strike landed directly on Zoratโ€™s chest, throwing him back several paces with bales of dust and winds exploding around them from the point of contact, sending a shudder through the woods and restful greenery before they were all blown back by the sheer amount of power in her strike.

Azaria did not relax and followed up with several other rapid attacks, all following the imperial sword series, as she dolled out hundreds of attacks in a matter of seconds, all explosive and all charged with so much mana that everything within a hundred meters of the area was blown clean off.

All attacks landed squarely on Zorat, from his chest to his back, from his back to his knees, from his knees to his wrists.

Azariaโ€™s blade danced around him like lightning, landing attack after attack as Zorat was continuously being pushed back.

Each attack Azaria was doling out on Zorat was several times more powerful than the one she used to cleave the minotaur in half in the catacombs of permafrost. Now she was turning Caleb into minced meat.

"Hahaha.... So you were all talk, Caleb Cole!"

Azaria laughed out loud as she relentlessly cut at every part of Zorat. Though his reaction speed was still higher than his realm, since he was still able to keep an eye on her a bit... it should be at most at the grandmaster realm.

He couldnโ€™t follow any of her movements or strikes, and could not even react to anything.

He was basically being slaughtered by her at this point, while he still had that annoying grin on his face.

With his shadowy black hair in the way.... Azaria could not see the look in his eyes, but she was sure it would be one of dread and regret, even though he was pretending to look tough.

She was definitely winning. And it seems whatever trick he had used to one-up her in the tent must have run out.

She had to admit, though, that she had been right.....

Caleb was, in fact, much stronger than the others, since none of the other heroes would be able to go for this long, taking all of her hits.

But thatโ€™s it, even though she could still feel that uncomfortable sense of weariness about him, the feeling becoming all the more stronger with her this up close....She was still winning....

And she was also a bit disappointed, since she had expected this person to put up more of a fight.

"Where is your bravado now, uhn ?. Caleb Cole!" Azaria ridiculed as she ran circles around Zorat, tearing into him with her blade relentlessly.

"For one so sleek with their words.... You seem awfully quiet right now!"

"Iโ€™ll make sure I remove that distasteful smile off your annoying face!" she added spitefully as her tirade of sword dance continued.

She unleashed technique after technique, every next one more lethal than the previous, throwing Zorat backwards repeatedly and turning the surrounding forest into flatland.

However, Azaria was suddenly getting the feeling that something was terribly wrong somewhere.

Battles when ultimate lethal moves are involved usually last for just a couple of seconds, and usually involve hundreds of moves during that short time, especially when one is at the higher realms and has started having a different relationship with time.

But the weird part is... she had been dolling out hundreds of her ultimate lethal moves for more than a full minute now.... her mana reserve had almost been completely emptied.... And yet.....

โ€™Why the hell is he still standing?!โ€™

It was weird.

He was clearly being overpowered and thrown back, with all of her hits landing cleanly....

But why does she currently feel something has been off even from the start?

He should be dead a thousand times over by now.... yet.... That infuriating grin had never left his face.

Azaria suddenly noticed something as the dust cleared a little, which caused her enough shock that she instantly flew backwards from Calebโ€™s perimeter, creating significant distance from him.

"Oh?!.... Donโ€™t tell me you are done already?. Hehehe." Zoratโ€™s calm voice suddenly sounded from within the clearing dust as he walked out.

"That would make you boring..... Azaria.... "

"Oh.... and did I fail to mention...I dislike boring people!" he added as the grin on his face widened even more.

Azaria stared wide-eyed, with weariness and burgeoning fear, as she took in rapid, ragged breaths from her earlier exertions.

Now, as Caleb came into proper view, she could confirm that her eyes did not deceive her.

"You...." she croaked... her sword already flat beside her, a look of embarrassed loss in her face, as she added in question.... "Who exactly are you ?!โ€™

Azaria needed to know because.... None of her lethal attacks had actually worked.

There wasnโ€™t a single scratch on him at all.
