KEITH’S POV

"What do you mean let’s go home? Keith I’m not going with you," she said shaking her head.

I stopped midway. Suddenly, our situation hit me. I recalled what she did yesterday. Whilst I was still angry a lot of it had subsided

"Look I’ll turn a blind eye to what happened yesterday. Let’s just focus on getting your wounds treated," I said.

Now that everything was finally over. Tony was safe and returned. Unfortunately due to her actions yesterday though I would placing tight restrictions on her.

She violently shook her head. "No you don’t get it Keith. Thank you for saving me, but I’m not coming back to you. "

"You can’t be serious Jasmine. After everything we’ve gone through just now, you want to do this? You want to have this conversation now?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, it has to be now because if I let you take me now, I don’t know if you’ll let me leave," she replied.

"You’re overwhelmed right now," I told her. I wanted to discuss this later once we’ve cooled down from the situation.

"Keith you held me against my will for the past four weeks. I had no say in it. You did’t allow me to contact anyone," she angrily. yelled at me.

My eyes darkened.

It was an unfortunate but necessary precaution...because I knew you were going to try to leave. I wasn’t going to say that to her though.

"You lied to me, used my feelings Jasmine. I confessed to you," I told her. "I was being earnest with my feelings only for you to betray me."

"Because you wouldn’t let me go! You left me no choice. Why are you acting like you are the one who was wronged?"

"...." I was about to respond but paused. I just thought--hoped, that if I gave it time showed her how much I wanted her she’d change her mind. That I could win her back. I chose wrong yesterday but I was choosing right today.

"You can’t leave me Jasmine. We’re still legally married. And I’ll fight that divorce," I sternly told her. This was final and wasn’t up for discussion.

"This is exactly my point. You’re an obsessive lunatic. Everything either has to go your way or nothing. Why do you never considered what I want?" she asked.

Becuase Jasmine, unfortunately for you the one thing you want is the only thing I can’t give. If you want to work I’ll allow it. If you want shares in the Acland group I can allow it. But what is it about that Carrington boy that has you in a chokehold? 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"I’m asking you to give me a chance, Jasmine. I’ll treat you right," I tried to reason with her.

"No you won’t. It’s too late for that Keith," she curtly replied. "

"Why is too late? We’re still married, we have a child together, I own a billion dollar corporation. The easiest thing for you would be to come back to me." I explained. I didn’t want to complicate my life any further.

"But why does it have to be me? there are so many other women out there Keith.

My eyes narrowed.

I already chose wrong with Diana, I didn’t want to risk doing anything new. Jasmine is kind and caring woman and good mother.

"Well I don’t nor will I ever have feelings for you. Accept it," she coldly replied.

"Anthony is going to be the heir of the Acland Group. Think of his future. You might hate me but would you want to destroy our son’s life by going forward with the divorce?" I tried to reason with her.

"Anthony will always be your son if me divorcing you changes that then you never saw him as your son," she snapped back. "Besides, I can offer him better," she spat out.

"Don’t be stubborn, Jasmine. Do you think the Carrington will stepped forwards and him the Carrington heir?" I asked her begining to feel frustrated. Kolton was now dead she and and Anthony were now safe so why is she still so adamant.

"This isn’t about Louis or the money, you still don’t get it. This is about you letting me go and accepting it."

She then grabbed the gun and pointed it at me."Stop where you are Keith. Don’t take another step."

My feet paused as my eyes widened for a moment. Then they slowly softened. "You’re bluffing. Put the gun down."

"Try me, Keith," her teeth gritted as she said it.

"You weren’t always like this Keith what happened to you? Or is it that you were never in a situation like this for your true colors to show?" she asked me.

I scoffed. What happened to me was my world got rocked from underneath my feet. I just want this one thing for some normalcy in my life. You and Tony. Is it too much to ask?

I took another step forward.

"I mean it Keith!" she said sounding desparate.

I knew she wouldn’t. She couldn’t. She had too much to lose. Even she went against me she would lose.

"Jasmine if you kill me you’ll be arrested for murder. You’ll lose custody of Tony and I know you would never want that. Now put the gun down!" my voice boomed trying to get her to come to her senses.

"You’re just as much of a psychopath as your brother and your father. You’re fucked up. Your whole family is!" she screamed.

I let out an exhausted sigh. I want to be done with this so I can focus on finishing off with the men and police outside.

I continued to make my way towards her.

"Keith!" she screamed. Then I heard the click of the gun and a shot fired.

The ransom said they would first verify the documents were real and then send over Tony.

Of course Edwards helpers (Diana and others) would eventually find out the truth but they wouldn’t know for a while. I just might be able to buy time and get Tony.
