Chapter 15: Misunderstanding Resolved

"Do you perhaps... want to do that thing again...?"

Miria’s eyes glanced down, looking directly at Liam’s seemingly stiff pants.

Liam, frozen there, his teeth grinding in his mouth, his head in turmoil now.

If he just said one word or nodded, he would get the sensation like he was at Miria’s house that time.

He just needed one action now.

Miria, seeing Liam seemingly malfunctioning a bit, thought that Liam’s subconscious and the hypnosis effect were clashing.

’Is his subconscious trying to come out to be ferocious? Or is he trying to restrain himself from being ferocious?’ Thinking about it, Miria could only smile, either way it made Miria happy.

So, she formed a ring with her index finger and thumb, then brought it to her mouth, she then stuck out her tongue, striking a very provocative pose for Liam.

’You—!’

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The sound of a knock on the door was heard, Miria immediately came to her senses, her face flushed, and she took two steps back from Liam.

Her face turned serious, and she quickly snapped her fingers 5 times and said, "Forget everything that happened while you were hypnotized."

Liam immediately snapped back to reality, his ears red, and he unconsciously covered his mouth with his palm.

’Liam, you’re a fucking degenerate!’ he couldn’t help but think so. ’Did you really want to give in to your sexual urges just now? Was your brain controlled by the thing down there, huh?’

Liam regretted that he was about to do something indecent at school, and in the student council room, at that!

"Prez!"

An energetic voice was heard from behind Liam, from the sound of it Liam could guess that the person’s expression behind him must have been full of brightness.

Liam could see Miria’s gaze through her back. "Sheryl." Miria replied.

"Here, Prez. This is the thing you asked for earlier." The energetic girl approached Miria, Liam could see a small girl with twin tails in front of him.

Miria’s serious face suddenly softened, making Liam a little startled.

"Thank you, Sheryl," she said, patting Sheryl’s hair.

Sheryl showed a satisfied expression, her lips forming something like :3

Liam, who had just been hypnotized, looked confused.

"Prez... what about the report for my study group?" Liam asked, he saw a paper Miria was holding when he first arrived.

Miria’s gaze shifted to Liam, locked for a moment, and perhaps because of what just happened, Miria’s gaze was no longer as cold and terrifying as it was a few minutes ago.

’Has the misunderstanding been resolved now?’ Liam couldn’t help but think so.

"Oh, wait a moment."

Miria took the paper Sheryl had just given her in her right hand, and in her left hand was the paper Liam assumed was his report.

Then, Miria walked towards him and handed him the paper in her right hand, the one Sheryl had just given her.

Liam, confused, accepted the paper and said, "This... is my report?" he blurted out.

"Yeah, what else?"

Liam checked the paper he was holding. The names of his study group friends were listed there: Silvia, Darren, Megy, and Liam. There was also a section for location, place, study time, and the material discussed.

However, there was one thing that made Liam squint.

There was a column that read:

[Member Closeness]

And there, the study group members were required to write down any closeness or interaction, any chemistry between the members of Liam’s study group.

’Wait... what is this for?!’ Liam didn’t understand how such a column could exist.

Liam tilted his head up, his eyes looking at Miria suspiciously. And there, Miria’s expression was truly flat, and Liam couldn’t guess anything from it.

Liam just realized that Miria was also an actor who could win an Oscar if she wanted to.

"Then... what about the paper in your left hand, Prez?" Liam asked, his voice a little insistent.

"This is a report for my study group, you know? It’s not just you who are required to run a study group, we student council members also have to carry it out," Miria said with a smile and a firm voice.

’But, why did you immediately hide the paper behind your back, Miria?’ Liam almost chuckled at Miria’s funny behavior in hiding something.

Liam was 100% sure that Miria had replaced her study group report with something new, which she was now holding. Did his childhood friend want to monitor him this much?

He did not expect that Miria had planned this from the beginning.

"Is that so... Okay then..."

In the end, Liam played Silvia’s game again. However, he could still overcome this, because later when writing the report, he could lie that he was not too close to Silvia, or he could say that he and Silvia had argued.

Liam could already imagine his childhood friend grinning widely when she received the report.

"Prez... why is this guy still here," Sheryl, a girl with twin tails in her hair behind Miria, said. "Hey! Isn’t it already class time? Why are you still here?" Her voice strangely felt piercing when she spoke about Liam.

"Leave, Liam," Miria whispered.

Liam then turned around, facing the student council room’s exit, his hand stopping at the doorknob.

He turned his head back, his gaze locked on Miria.

"Miria..." his voice was sincere. "I apologize if I may have made a mistake towards you." The words he truly meant for his childhood friend whom he had always cherished.

Hearing this, Miria’s eyebrows shot up, and a blush filled her face. She turned her face away, her mouth forming a cute pout, and she twirled the ends of her hair.

"Just go, idiot." Miria’s voice was very small, but it sounded incredibly cute to Liam.

He hadn’t expected that the person in front of him now, who was shy like a kitten, was the same person who had hypnotized him and done something that crossed the line of decency for a model student.

Liam was about to leave the room. However, Miria’s voice was heard again.

"Wait, Liam... I’m coming to your house today, so please, after your study group is finished, go home as soon as possible."

Liam gave Miria a knowing smile. Then he slowly exited the room. The moment he stepped out, Liam’s eyebrows shot up and the corners of his smile widened further.

Nervousness washed over Liam, he could feel a bad feelings washed over him.
