I Am Not A Goblin Slayer
Chapter 608 - 330: Gauss Descends
Numerous monsters were quickly under his control, using their flesh to block Gauss’s path.
"Boom!"
Some creatures, at the brink of death, transformed into flesh bombs to attack Gauss.
Fortunately, Gauss’s reactions were swift, often dodging and acting effectively.
The low-level creatures sacrificed themselves continuously to block him, failing to deter Gauss, whose desire to kill grew stronger instead.
"Magic Missile!"
A blue light orb roared out from Gauss’s mouth like a cannonball.
The obstructing creatures died upon contact!
"Is this really Dragon-man Gauss?"
Nolan, retreating silently from afar, swallowed nervously.
"It’s so beautiful!"
Even though it was his subordinates being slaughtered by Gauss, Nolan still found Gauss’s form breathtakingly beautiful.
This is the evolution humans should possess, instead of that weak and ugly shell.
"So beautiful!"
He murmured to himself, becoming obsessed with the spectacle.
"You should join us, join the glorious evolution!"
He seemed to be communicating with Gauss from a distance.
Unfortunately, Gauss gave no response to his enthusiastic invitation.
He wanted them dead!
"It’s a pity, it seems I must show you the greatness of the Giant Dragon, what true art is."
"True Illusion!"
Nolan waved his magic staff high.
While Gauss battled ferociously, Nolan’s body suddenly shattered in Gauss’s view, a deep green monster crawled out, stretching its enormous and slender body.
An adult Green Dragon descended onto the forest with overwhelming might.
Its hill-sized form was covered in emerald armor-like scales, each glimmering with a dark metallic sheen.
The hideous head had thick horns curved backward, amber vertical pupils looked at Gauss coldly, as though eyeing a trivial insect.
The massive dragon wings slowly flapped, stirring a gale that pressed surrounding trees downward.
Most terrifying was its slightly open mouth, where a visible yellow-green poisonous gas and acid swirled between sharp white teeth, dripping down, causing the ground to emit white smoke and sizzling pits.
In comparison, the Red Dragon Dragon Beast Hephaestus seemed like an insignificant child.
"An adult Green Dragon?"
Gauss glanced at his dragon scale armor, whose protective layer was quickly resisting the corrosive poison mist.
Pain surged through his body from the skin.
He took a deep breath.
"No! That’s not right!"
He rapidly came to his senses.
If it were a genuine adult Green Dragon, the damage to him would be far more severe.
A single spit could overwhelm the "fragile" protective layer.
Upon realizing this, the damage from the poison mist rapidly diminished.
Indeed...
Was it some special trick released by the shattered sorcerer?
He charged against the poisonous fog, daringly attacking the immensely larger adult Green Dragon, like a moth to a flame.
"Slash!"
The holy aura-imbued Water Sword pierced into the Green Dragon’s hideous and majestic head.
"Roar!!!!"
"You shall perish!"
The incredibly lifelike Green Dragon let out a heart-rending roar.
Soon after, the illusion before Gauss shattered.
The mountain-like adult Green Dragon vanished without a trace.
Nolan, the sorcerer who had retreated far away, wiped sweat from his forehead, his pupils shrinking as he looked at Gauss.
He didn’t expect even this move to fail in subduing Gauss.
Knowing this true illusion was already his best lethal move.
Having the chance to be an errand runner for the Green Dragon Queen once, seeing her closely, his true illusion of the Green Dragon was far more vivid than others.
This allowed him to achieve unstoppable results whenever he used this move.
The True Illusion, as its name suggests, possesses the ability to cause real damage with illusion, simulating a hallucination encompassing almost all senses.
If it is real enough to make opponents believe even a bit, as it releases "real damage," it will deepen that belief, enhancing the spell’s power further.
At the moment when the opponent is "utterly convinced," the spell’s power reaches its peak, ultimately leading them to death in endless panic.
Gauss locked his gaze onto the escaping Nolan.
He now acted in a nearly instinctive battle mode.
Being familiar with dragons, his high Intelligence Attribute allowed him to unravel the spell as the illusion had just begun, preventing further strengthening.
If it were any other demon, the time of being confused might have been prolonged slightly.
Gauss shot out like a cannonball.
The recently exhausted Nolan, who had just cast the heavily magic-consuming Fourth Circle Spell, stood powerless.
Light flashed by.
Nolan just prepared to speak, but Gauss appeared before him, leaving no time for Nolan to dodge.
The Vampire Touch-imbued Water Sword pierced Nolan’s body.
"Cough!"
Nolan coughed up blood.
"Lord Cecilia will not spare you."
Gauss ignored his spiteful last words.
The Vampire Touch pierced through Nolan’s body.
Then, with a twist of the wrist, he raised the sword upward, bursting with energy using both hands.
"Swoosh!"
The Water Sword slashed from bottom to top toward the sky.
Cutting Nolan’s upper body into two halves instantly.
Gauss kicked Nolan, the sorcerer, aside.
He glanced toward other directions of the battlefield.
His rage was still far from dissipated.
He rushed towards the other cultists trying to interfere with Serdur’s healing, mercilessly claiming their lives.
As the battle seemed to off-balance.
Deep within the clouds.
A figure was riding atop a blue-white skeletal flying dragon, swirling through the clouds.
White cloud mist left traces across the sky from the dragon’s wings, quickly solidifying into frost.
"Almost there."
"Faster, my dear."
The woman moved her nose slightly, seemingly able to smell the target’s scent, a pleased expression appearing on her face.
"Dragon-man Gauss, you who have caught the Green Dragon Queen’s attention, what about you is so special..." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Her heartbeat began to accelerate unstoppably.
