I Awakened An Outer God Class
Chapter 77: Empress Idalia [1]
Amaira Doriath and 208 blinked their eyes, adjusting to the sudden change in environment.
Their gaze moved over the vast cosmos before it shifted towards the high chair where a blurry faced man sat calmly.
The elf and vampire quickly averted their gaze, fearing the wrath of a deity.
Amaira Doriath clearly remembered the towering being she had ’seen’ the first time she arrived here.
’...It was like looking at something I shouldn’t have.’
She thought grimly before her gaze shifted to the young man on the opposite side.
At that moment, she couldn’t help but wonder. ’What do he and I have in common?’
She was wondering why they had been chosen to be his informants.
’He looks really weak and fragile. From his frame and hands I can guess, he doesn’t get much to eat.’
That made her frown because she couldn’t find anything in common between them.
After trying for a while, she gave up on trying to understand Mikhail’s train of thought.
’I am too weak to understand what he is planning...’
She drew in a deep breath and fixed her state of mind.
’...I wonder, is he an old god or a new god born from the cosmos?’
Amaira Doriath stole a glance at the mighty figure sitting on the high chair.
She began to remember the stories of the Sovereign Mother who was said to have been born from the womb of the cosmos.
208, the Serpent, was much calmer and less doubtful of Mikhail’s ability.
After all, he had awakened him and made him a Blood Monarch, which was equivalent to King’s rank, Monarch.
Due to their unique body functions and origins, vampire classes mostly began with blood related abilities.
After a few seconds of silence, Amaira Doriath stood up and bowed slightly. "Good afternoon."
Her tone was neither warm nor cold.
The Serpent stood up and hurriedly greeted him as well.
Mikhail just gave a small nod and settled into his role as a deity.
"Shall we start?"
Amaira Doriath nodded her head and said gently.
"I found a few records related to Empress Idalia." She said. "I remembered the contents, even though I don’t understand them. I can write them down."
After thinking for a few seconds she added. "Empress Idalia was the woman who was the leader of the elves in the Frenedic Empire."
Mikhail thought for a second and decided to use Authority Points to create goatskin paper and an old design pen.
He didn’t use anything modern in order to keep up his image.
The pen and paper appeared beside him and flew into the hands of Ms. War Maiden.
Amaira Doriath began to write down what she remembered without any delay.
208, the Serpent, was quickly thrown into a panic as he hadn’t prepared anything this time.
’I was inside the rift the entire time....’
He held back his sigh as he watched the lady complete her writing and pass it to Mikhail.
He took the paper and his eyes nearly constricted when he saw a language he was familiar with.
It was the Frenedic language but some words were written in English.
’Indeed, they or at least she was a transmigrator just like me.’
Taking in a deep breath, he calmed down and didn’t show any abnormal reaction. He began reading the contents.
======
"8th March, 0080."
"Just like the prophecy made by the elder elves, we have lost everything in the war against the [Outer Gods] and our world was destroyed."
"Perhaps, I was overconfident in the Gods of our world. Even though we had seven of them, four of them perished and only three crossed to the new world."
"I already told the elders that it was useless but I was just too weak for them to take me seriously."
"And just like the ’Book of Future’ had predicted, I met with the other three Holders of the ’Book of Future’ just a few days ago."
"They confirmed that they also got informed of their worlds’ demise from the ’Book of Future’ as well."
"Unlike me, they used the ’Book of Future’ to gather as many people under them to fight the [Outer Gods] and they lost as well."
"But they did gain something out of it, they became Gods or close to it before anyone else."
"Looking at them, I also decided to become a goddess of beauty and accepted their offer to join hands."
"You would be pleasantly surprised when you look at me the next time."
"Till then, I will wait for you like I always have."
"From your beloved Idalia who wishes to see you again, Mikhail."
=======
Mikhail also got the fright of his life when he read the last line.
He felt like he was being haunted by a ghost and he didn’t like that one bit.
’Calm down, we might just have the same name.’
After slowly getting a hold of his emotions, he turned to look at Amaira Doriath.
"It’s a letter?"
The War Maiden nodded her head and replied. "The Empress Idalia used to write letters to someone and keep a copy with her."
Mikhail raised his hand and asked. "How many of these letters can you find?"
"I don’t know...." She replied, shaking her head. "Most of those letters were lost in the war against the Inshel Kingdom and the repeated attacks from the vampire race. There are a few but they are scattered all over the continent."
Mikhail nodded his head and pretended he wasn’t too interested in the matter.
He put down the paper and looked at her once again. "Do you wish for a reward for this knowledge?"
The lady drew in a deep breath and replied softly. "Purple mahogany."
After careful consideration, that was what Ms. War Maiden had chosen to ask for.
Purple mahogany was a really rare item, almost extinct in the Veronica Continent.
Even in other continents, it was hard to obtain.
She had chosen it because she wanted to know the limits of the nameless deity, and she also genuinely needed it.
With the condition of her soul, the purple mahogany could provide her with some aid.
At the same time, Mikhail had a weird look on his face.
Because he already had the purple mahogany from his early days of exploration.
’Is this how fate works?’
