Azaroth nodded. "That’s it. Although you are not up to my power, you are far closer to Acolyte rank than you know. Let’s see what you can do, red goblin."

The monster is the first to attack, with claws like small daggers the monster swiped at him with hands that’s as fast as the winds, the attack didn’t physically land on Azaroth but still his clothes was ripped on the stomach and blood bloomed on the four claw mark there.

Azaroth was surprised as he watched the red goblin raised his claw to its mouth and licked his blood clean from its mouth with its eyes shining with glee.

Azaroth looked at it coldly. "You..how do you do that? I dodged your attack so how did it get to me? Some kind of ability? That must be it."

But an ability that passed through his essence forged like it’s nothing. Even though essence forging is not comparable to essence shield it would still protect at least once against a claw swiped. "No wonder you are the boss of the bosses here. You are strong."

With his legs, Azaroth hooked one of the small rocks on the ground and he kicked it up gently then he slapped it and watched as it shot forward in a brown streak.

The red goblin dodged it like it nothing and then jumped at Azaroth with its two claws extended. He didn’t want it near him until he knew what type of ability it has so he sent a wave of fire to keep it back.

Azaroth could kill it if he wants now, strange ability or not, even if the he gets wonded he’ll still kill it without great harm to himself. But before that he want to fight it as if they were equal so he could get experience and train himself on how to confront abilities he isn’t used to.

The monster kept out of the wave of his fire and each time it made its way towards him, it was kept back. It frustration mounted and finally the monster snared and growled then it flipped the stone table over and used it as a shield as it got close to him.

"Smart!" Azaroth said. "But not enough! Ember strike!"

The table shattered immediately he touched it, but the monster isn’t on the other side. The table is just a front to use a sneak attack on him.

But the monster must have miscalculation because Azaroth couldn’t be taken by that. He looked up and saw the monster coming at him from above. His sword flashed up and and the monster also swiped down.

Azaroth who already saw through its ability dodged to the left and an almost invisible ripple tore into the ground, gouging a long claw mark.

The monster looked shocked that Azaroth had seen through its attack. "Your attack is an extended form of your claw attack, it’s a force attack. Like my own chaos core. Impressive, you swipe and a force will extend just like your claw. I should implement it into my sword form but not yet!"

Azaroth zapped forward, sword hacking at the monster who raised it’s claws like daggers and the two clashed with a flash of light. The monster is using its claws to fight as if it’s some kind of daggers.

They fought across the room, kicking bodies away from their sides so they can better focus. But from the monster’s perspective this isn’t just a fight. It’s an humiliation! The human in front of him can beat it the red goblin and it knew it.

A lot of times the sword came close to taking its head but then it’ll withdrawal. On an and it went and if finally drawn on the red goblin that the human is using it for some kind of training. That made it angry and the monster raised it’s two hands in fury, releasing its abilities as it swiped.

The air ripped and is briefly showed ten long cut in the air that was shot at Azaroth and he knew this was it, the most powerful attack that the monster can use.

Azaroth used his two cores together. He sent jet of fire to meet the attack at the same time he released a wave of his telekinesis force.

And the world seems to slow, the monster saw the fire as it came out to meet its attack and it knew it won’t be enough to stop it, maybe arrogant human will die after all but then it saw the smirk and the red goblin felt as if the wolf has finally shut its jaws with him in it.

Boom!

The red goblin saw a destructive pulse blast out of the human, it attack got destroyed in seconds and it could only stay there, shocked as the attack tore its body apart.

Azaroth looked at the destruction he caused and he was glad. The chaos technique he used now is a copy from the ’fire wave’ and it’s more destructive than he thought.

Nothing remained of the monster, and not only that. There’s a large long crater from Azaroth to the blasted wall. He was now looking at the other side of the lair where the sun was shining through.

Azaroth checked his chaos core and it was near empty already. "This chaos wave, it’s powerful but consumes a lot of my power. I should only use it when I need a destructive attack. It’s even less control. This is why technique is important, to help with the amount needed."

"Well then, what should I do now?" Azaroth looked around the lair to see if there’s anything important to loot but there’s nothing so he jumped down from the large boulder. "A crypt this strange and there’s no loot. But still, I learned how powerful the Acolyte rank can be. But I can’t make an accurate judgment until I fight a full Acolyte."

He began to to towards the way that’ll lead him to the portal but paused when he saw the monsters soldiers are making a move towards him.
