A chill ran through Raiden’s spine as he heard the words.

Looking at the three guys hanging from the ceiling, he made up his mind and started walking towards them with Ruby standing in the back.

As if hearing someone approach, the one in the middle stirred to life.

He lifted his head up slowly, only to catch a glimpse of Raiden, who was walking towards him and Ruby in the background.

"You!!! You devil!!!! Demon!!! You will not even find peace in hell!! Stay away from me!!"

The man tried to scramble away from the spot, his whole body moving in the air desperately, but he found his body too weak to even move, let alone do anything bad.

Raiden slowly approached the man hanging from the ceiling, his boots clicking against the ground.

"Hey, hey, hey....shush. Everything is going to be okay, alright? Calm down, okay? Just calm down." Raiden grabbed the man’s head with both hands and looked him in the eye as he said it, forcing him to stop moving.

"Good...Now tell me, who sent you here?" He asked.

"I...I....I am i-innocent man. I didn’t do nothing to anyone!! I swear, I will never come near you and your family again!! Just, please, let me go!!" The man started begging, with desperate tears in his eyes.

"I did not ask that now, did I? Tell me, who sent you here...and why??" Raiden asked in a low voice.

"Nobody, nobody sent us!! We came here by mistake!! Please let us go!! I won’t tell anyone about it!!"

"Wrong answer."

Raiden grabbed his face, and under the terrified look inside his eyes, he twisted his head backwards.

SNAP!

The man’s body slumped down and started swinging as his dead body hung from the roof.

Raiden looked at the dead man hanging from the ceiling, then he looked at his own hands that had killed him.

He felt a strange sense of discomfort and disgust inside his chest.

He had just killed a man by his own two hands, and it had been strangely...easy. And other than some discomfort and some leftover morals from the previous world screaming at him, he didn’t really feel bad about it.

Looking at the dead man whom he had killed himself, he once again felt how fragile life was in this world, and how strong he needed to become to avoid the same thing ever happening to him in the future.

Next, he ignored the moral debate happening inside of him and moved towards the next person that was hanging from the ceiling. There was plenty of time for that later.

"You. Stop pretending. I know you are awake. Speak, or I will send you to meet your friend in the afterlife."

Seeing no signs of activity, Raiden let out a big sigh before he reached his hands out and grabbed his face.

"NO WAIT!! DON’T KILL ME!! I will tell you whatever you want to know!! Please, just don’t kill me!!"

The man’s eyes snapped open as he started begging from Raiden, making him frown.

"See, you were this cooperative from the start, I wouldn’t have to do so much." Raiden patted the man’s cheek with his hands, making him flinch and shiver in fear.

"Now speak, why are you here?"

"I-I- I was given a mission to wait here. Me and my colleagues, we were told to burn down your farm a-and..." The man started stuttering, looking very afraid.

"And what? Hurry up, tell me the truth. Because I will know if you are lying or not. And if you aren’t, I will make sure you will go in a much less peaceful way than your friend did."

"Okay!! Okay!! I’ll speak!! We were sent here to burn down your farm, kidnap your sister and take her innocence, before sending you a video!!! But it wasn’t my idea!! It was my boss’s idea, I swear!!! I-I was just following orders!!"

Hearing the man’s words, Raiden felt an uncontrollable rage surface from inside of him. Someone wanted to burn his farm, kidnap his sister and do that kind of stuff to her?!!

He wouldn’t have felt so angry if they had come after him or harmed him. But, they went after his only family left!! Unforgivable!! It was totally unforgivable!!!

He forgot all about his morals, issues and uneasy feelings as he grabbed the man by his neck hard, dragging him close to his face, staring directly into his eyes.

"Who!! Who gave you that order!!!" He practically growled in anger.

"I-I can’t tell you!! If I told you, they would kill me and my family!!! I have a wife and a small daughter at home!! Please let me go. I-I—"

"Well, you should have thought of them before you took the job to harm my family. Your family matters, and mine doesn’t?" Raiden laughed out of sheer anger after hearing his words.

Without giving him a chance to say anything further, Raiden twisted his head off, killing him instantly.

"You!!" He marched directly towards the third and last person that was hanging from the ceiling, grabbing him by his hair, causing him to look up and stare directly into Raiden’s purple eyes, which were overflowing with anger.

"Tell me what you know, or I swear I will give you the most brutal death possible. I will peel your nails off, one by one, until there is nothing left. Then I will move towards your fingers, breaking them, then your toes. Then I will cut off your balls. By the time I am done with you, you will wish that I had given you an easy death instead. You have three seconds. One...two—"

"Don’t do it!! I will tell you!! I will tell you everything!!! It was Kennedy!! It was Kennedy who sent us here and asked us to mess with your family!! I swear it was him!! I heard it was revenge for Jason’s son, Jacob!! That’s all I know, I swear!!" The man screamed desperately, worried that if he didn’t speak fast enough, he would die in a second.

"I am ready to do anything you say!! I will even testify for you against him in court!! Just don’t kill me, please!!" The man was practically begging by the end, his face covered in tears and snot.

"Thank you. Since you were so willing to provide information, I will make your journey to the underworld painless. Take care."

Under the wide eyes of the man, Raiden grabbed his head with one hand and snapped it instantly, ending his life.
