The first time the Grand Elder heard about this reason, he couldn't help but be shocked. In such an ancient and mighty race, having power was the least of any of the ancient forces' concerns.

Anyone who had enough prestige and made a recent name for themselves would enjoy lots of authority and power, connections and riches. And yet for a reason he couldn't grasp, those forces thought they needed more, thought they didn't have enough.

When Hye was informed of this, he couldn't help but inwardly sigh. He knew at some point, when forces grew to an extent, they might make a grave mistake of being stationary and think of things that would only destroy everything they had, everything their ancestors struggled to build.

Just like these ancient forces and pillars of the Hescos, he was sure such prestige and status didn't come without paying a hefty price to secure it. And thanks to a reckless generation that grew greedy and blinded by desire, they ended up destroying all this on a whim.

Hye kept himself busy during this period, yet he didn't retrieve all of his forces from the Hescos' homeland world. He left Lucas with the Soulers and Reapers to help the Grand Elder extricate all the dirty and poisonous weeds from their world. At the same time, he asked Lucas to secure any riches he could find and send them later to him.

As for Hye himself, he shifted his attention towards the underground force that attacked his kingdom's fleets. This force was so huge that it made the fight quite hard, yet with his presence, things changed. He controlled lots of them, killed the most, and only a few managed to slip past his grip after a brutal one-week fight.

The gains from this battle alone were grand. He gained tons of ships, lots of warriors, and, more importantly, knowledge about the underground world.

He had too much to digest on his own, so he decided to throw all of them to the Pirate King and Lady Nymph, letting the two absorb the remnants of this force and expand theirs, allowing them to grow stronger with all the knowledge he salvaged from the captives.

By the end of this expedition, Hye came out as the biggest winner. He gained lots of respect and more trade deals from the Hescos that no one would ever have dared even to consider before.

He openly asked for the planetary defences blueprints, latest weapons and tech, and more importantly, he gained lots of warriors, artificial planets, and even tons of races' tokens.

He gained a lot to make him laugh for a long time while sending his kingdom forces back with most. Yet the biggest gain he got was the God Weapon. He destroyed this deadly thorn on his side once and for all, and gained lots of intact mirrors and transfer ships to let Old Gan busy studying and researching them for a long time.

Then, after he settled all this, it was time for him to fulfil his earlier promise. It was time for him to go to the outer battlefield.

Two months had passed since the historical war that happened back in the Hescos' homeland world. To Hye's surprise, not a single word leaked outside those who were involved and attended the war!

The Toranks kept the news about their defeat secret. They lost big in this war, lost their long-time built infiltration deep within the Hescos' upper circle and homeland world. They lost their deadly nightmare, the God Weapon, and lost their access to the mines scattered across the Hescos' homeland world. ๐™›๐“ป๐’†๐“ฎ๐’˜๐™š๐™—๐’๐™ค๐™ซ๐“ฎ๐’.๐“ฌ๐’๐™ข

It was exactly like how the Grand Elder expected; the Toranks had enough storage of the God ore to remake a second God Weapon. And yet the main problem lay in the recharge. The energy the weapon recharged from depended mainly and solely on burning out these God ores.

Even if they had what it took to launch a few shots, it was clearly apparent now that this weapon had lost most of its value. The big advantage of having the deadly weapon mobile, attacking and threatening any race and empire in the universe, was lost.

No one guessed the true depths of the Toranks' scheme. They wanted to set an example of the Hescos to scare the rest of the universe. Even if using the weapon frequently was costly, no one in the universe would have guessed that. And even if a few smart ones guessed such a possibility, no sane person would risk the fate of their race and empire over such a low probability.

The God Weapon changed from one defeat from being the scary sword the Toranks dreamt of pointing to different races in the universe, to the last resort that they would use only in case their empire and race were on the edge of collapse and ruin.

On the other hand, the Hescos kept the news about their victory hidden. The victory was tainted by lots of negative setbacks.

Be it the traitors involved in this scheme, be it the treacherous elders, the different factions and ancient forces which got purged overnight, or the presence of lots of cities under their noses without even realising it. Everything related to this victory was considered a great stain on the face of the mighty Hescos.

On top of that, their victory came against the second-ranked race in the universe, which wouldn't be considered a victory but more than a pitiful struggle against a much weaker opponent.

The Grand Elder decided to keep the news locked up and made sure not to let any of the traitors or anyone related to them live!

The biggest challenge was in the scattered forces from these factions and families into the grand armies of the empire. It took almost one month to purge through every force and extricate all the dirty weed from within.

As for Hye, he returned to his kingdom and delivered the great harvest to old Gan. The old man was in disbelief when he saw all the mirrors, the ships carrying them, and the different pieces of destroyed mirrors.
