I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse
Chapter 1975: It’s Time to Go for the Outer Battlefield
The loot was grand, and old Gan couldn’t believe Hye fulfilled the impossible and brought him enough samples to properly study the weapon.
In addition to all this, Hye already presented to him lots of the God ore he claimed from the Hescos’ homeland, in addition to the modified version of the explosives built on top of such volatile and deadly ore.
Hye asked the Grand Elder to make these bombs, thinking he might need them in the last stretch. But luckily, things developed and progressed way smoother than he had initially imagined. So he ended up having lots of these deadly bombs and decided to let the old man work his magic and reverse engineer them.
After that, Hye dealt with the gruelling task of negotiation with Moth. Once the war settled, Moth acted stubbornly, under the premise that Hye took most of the big gains to himself.
The latter acted shamelessly and directly stated that no matter what he got, it wasn’t worth the price he paid to save their empire and race. On top of that, he even sent lots of records about the last moments of the war, where lots of Hescos-affiliated forces made their way and scavenged most of the ships and wreckage.
Then he pushed through the narrative of saving their empire, their race, which was something that couldn’t be weighed in gold.
Moth was doing this under the clear instructions and orders of the Grand Elder. And Hye could tell that from the first message he got from Moth. The two kept going back and forth for an entire month, till Hye finally realised the Hescos and the Toranks kept their mouths shut about the entire thing.
Once he hinted he might spread out the news, send lots of recordings he had and broadcast these to the entire universe, the Grand Elder’s stubbornness finally broke down.
From the very first moment, the Grand Elder planned to give Hye lots of stuff in return for his efforts. And yet he wanted to teach the youngster a lesson, not to try to mess with the Hescos again. Yet in the end, the old man failed, realised that dealing with Hye was worse than dealing with the Toranks.
Hye used all the goods he gained to strengthen his growing kingdom and armies. He entrusted everything to Isac and Karoline. Then he led Legend, Lily, and Olana with many other generals and a grandiose army towards the coordinates the Hescos provided.
"I see you brought good forces with you," Moth said as he waited for Hye when he arrived at the meeting location. It was situated far at the eastern borders of the universe, a long-distance travel that took two weeks from Hye and his armies, even when the Hescos made sure to pick the fastest route, and even left clear instructions to help them pass first once arrived.
"Not even close to what you brought with you," Hye moved his eyes around. He just joined Moth in his gigantic flagship. And from there, he spotted the entire Hescos forces he brought with him. If Hye brought around thirty generals and fleets, Moth brought ten times that at least.
"Ah, it’s just for the lots of bases we have at the Outer Battlefield," Moth laughed, yet with his mask and suit, Hye had no way to tell what he was really thinking of.
In general, Hye didn’t believe any of that. Going to the Outer Battlefield was as easy as travelling through the universe. It was a longer journey, of course, but Hye never believed the Hescos needed to wait for an Elder to move to send reinforcements to that chaotic place.
"The way to the Outer Battlefield isn’t like how you imagine," Moth noticed the look over Hye’s face, so he slowly explained, "the two universes have been at war for a long time, but that doesn’t mean we are close to each other. In fact, some believe the distance between the two of us is equal to or even more than one universe apart."
"This..." Hye was startled when he heard that, "Aren’t we going to enter it the moment we leave here?!" He was puzzled by this, yet Moth slowly explained.
"It’s indeed a long distance travel, but that doesn’t mean we are going to walk through a huge space to reach there," Moth paused, before adding, "consider it walking through a black hole, where there is only one safe path that keeps twisting all the time. Around us, there is a thick veil of deadly space clouds, with lots of dangers and unexplored areas that are quite deadly to any force from both universes."
Moth then tried to explain to Hye the way towards the Outer Battlefield, shattering any belief the latter had about the path to that place.
Hye thought wrongly before that they just needed to travel for quite some time, then they would arrive at the Outer Battlefield. And yet the trip there wasn’t that easy, nor safe.
The whole distance was formed and covered by shattered big celestial objects. Be it solar systems, even small galaxies, the place was a chaotic gigantic storm of dust, gas, and deadly creatures and monsters lurking around the pathway. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Hye was speechless when he heard all this. He thought that by the tide that happened before, and the chase from the other universe fleets to this one’s that kept happening all the time at the border of the universe, that the travel was the easiest part of the adventure.
"Just make sure to follow my lead," Moth patted Hye’s shoulder, before adding, "We have travelled through this passage for aeons, and we know it like the back of our hands. Just keep close and don’t venture away from us."
"Cool," Hye nodded, realising the danger waiting for him if he didn’t stick to Moth’s side, "how about where we’ll arrive? Is it that dangerous as well?"
"We’ll appear at the grand gathering land of our universe," Moth said,
