"Hey, want to grab some milk tea first?" Shen Yuan asked suddenly as they walked.

Li Zhi glanced at Shen Yuan, a questioning look in her eyes.

Shen Yuan continued, "I haven’t had any in a while. Want to go together? It’s still early, anyway."

Li Zhi blinked, then nodded. "Your treat."

"Of course. My idea, my treat."

"Let’s go, then."

It wasn’t like Li Zhi needed to lose weight. The mental exertion of senior year was immense, and she desperately needed a lot of energy to keep up.

Milk tea was a great way to get it.

Yang Shuai returned to the classroom a little before 6:00 PM.

The moment he saw Shen Yuan, Yang Shuai moved as if his feet were greased, WHOOSHING over to Shen Yuan’s side and plopping down in Chen Mingyu’s seat.

"Yuan! Young Master Li!" Yang Shuai looked at the two of them, his face ecstatic and his voice trembling slightly.

Under their confused gazes, Yang Shuai was so excited he was almost incoherent. "I asked her out!"

"Games," Yang Shuai answered as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

As soon as Shen Yuan heard that, he deflated like a punctured ball, leaning back against his desk with a weary expression.

"Seriously, man? You take the girl-next-door from your village out for dinner and a movie, and you just talk about games with her?" Shen Yuan stared at Yang Shuai in disbelief, as if he’d just heard the most ridiculous thing in the world.

But Yang Shuai just nodded blankly, seemingly baffled by Shen Yuan’s reaction.

"Yeah. What else?"
