Anastasia was buried in paperwork in the office the next day, her mind a whirlwind of concern as she had been asking about Liam everywhere, yet he seemed to have vanished.

The steady hum of office noise was no comfort as her worry grew.

Suddenly, the door to her office burst open, and Liam came running in, his face lit with excitement.

"Anastasia, you need to come with me right now!" he said, practically bouncing on his feet.

"Liam! Where have you been?" she exclaimed, a mixture of relief and frustration in her voice. "I’ve been looking for you everywhere!"

"I know, I know," Liam said hurriedly, "but trust me, it was worth it. Just come with me. You have to see this."

Before she could protest, Liam grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the office.

They rushed through the corridors, Anastasia’s curiosity and anxiety mounting with every step.

Finally, they reached her bedroom door.

Liam paused, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

"Close your eyes," he instructed.

"Liam, what is this about?" Anastasia asked, feeling both annoyed and intrigued.

"Just trust me, Ana. Close your eyes."

With a sigh, she closed her eyes, allowing Liam to guide her into the room.

When he finally told her to open them, she was met with a sight she never expected.

Cobra was sitting on her bed, a warm smile on his face.

"Hi, my love," he said softly.

Anastasia was stunned, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Cobra? What... How...?" She stammered, unable to process the scene before her.

Her heart raced, a mix of confusion and elation flooding her senses.

She felt as if she were dreaming, everything around her blurring except for the two men in front of her.

The fact that Cobra and Liam were in the same room without any sign of enmity was beyond her comprehension.

She looked between them, her mind racing to piece together how this could have happened.

These were two men who could barely stand the sight of each other, and now they were here, together, in her room.

"Surprise, Anastasia," Liam said, his voice filled with triumph.

Overwhelmed, Anastasia felt a wave of dizziness.

She placed a hand on the doorframe to steady herself, trying to grasp the reality of the situation.

Her thoughts were a jumbled mess, questions piling up faster than she could sort them out.

"How did this happen?" she finally managed to ask, her voice barely above a whisper.

Her eyes darted between Cobra and Liam, searching for answers in their faces.

How had Liam brought Cobra here? And more impossibly, how had he convinced him to come with him, without bloodshed?

She felt lost as if she were missing a crucial part of the puzzle.

-Flashback:

The light in Liam’s eyes vanished, and his vision turned black.

Cobra watched as Liam’s eyes rolled back and shut close before sliding down and hitting the floor under him, leaving a line of blood on the wall, marking the path that his body followed until it reached the floor.

Cobra got a bit confused because he knew that even though Liam was half an omega, the latter was a big rugged man, he saw him in the battle and when he attacked him, he knew Liam would be able to overpower him easily.

This is why seeing Liam pass out just by slamming his head against the wall confused him.

But he did not care that much about it.

Cobra knelt down in front of Liam, looking at his unconscious body with his glowy red angry eyes.

Liam was sitting on the floor, both of his legs carelessly lying down on the floor and his two arms wrapped loosely around his abdomen, while his head fell sideways on the wall behind him.

Cobra lifted his hand and grabbed Liam’s chin to lift his face up, his face moved smoothly following his hand since the latter was completely unconscious.

Cobra’s eyes still glowing in that angry red, wrinkle on his nose shows how much hate he has for Liam as he hissed, smiling like the psychopath he is " You have no idea how much I waited for this moment."

He moved his hand toward Liam’s neck and using one of his claws, he scratched Liam’s skin, causing that red warm liquid to be pushed out of that scratch and run down Cobra’s finger, making Liam whimper in his unconsciousness, pain.

Cobra lifted his finger and licked that blood, causing the corners of his lips to curl up in a smirk as he hungrily looked at the wound " As sweet as I thought."

Omega’s blood is usually very sweet.

His eyes glowed darker in anger when he noticed Anastasia’s mark on Liam’s neck again " A freak. A fucking freak."

That mark made his blood boil in jealousy and he did not hesitate to rip Liam’s shirt.

" I will snatch your heart out of your chest and use it as a stress ball after squeezing all your sweet blood in a wine glass. You will regret the day you were born and the day you decided to get close to what’s mine."

He pushed Liam’s arms out of the way which caused those arms to be thrown carelessly to the floor on each of Liam’s sides.

He put his claws on Liam’s chest, feeling so excited to feel his heart throbbing in his hand against his palm.

The whole world around him is red in his eyes, he could see through Liam’s body, that heart connected to those veins, slowly pumping blood.

He smiled like a crazy scientist whose work had just worked.

He pushed a claw into Liam’s chest, blood filled those wounds and some spilled out.

Suddenly, his body froze, and his brows furrowed in confusion when his ear caught a strange heartbeat coming from Liam’s body.

His eyes moved slowly from Liam’s chest to his stomach, only for his eyes to widen, the world around him stopped, and the red in his eyes faded as he mumbled in denial " No. no."

Another soul is growing in Liam’s.

" No," Cobra whispered in denial, it’s part of Anastasia’s soul growing in Liam’s body.

He fell to the floor on his butt and crawled backward while his eyes stared at Liam in terror.

Until he squeezed his body in the corner while staring at the unconscious body and hearing the baby’s heartbeat going slower. " No. no no."

Cobra mumbled no in denial when he noticed blood on the floor.

The baby.

Anastasia’s baby.

Cobra instantly got up but tripped and fell on the floor, he got up again, rushing to the cup of water.

He ran to Liam and fell to the floor with him " Liam. Liam Snow. get up" He splashed water on his face with his shaky hand.

His hands shook as he grabbed Liam by his shoulders and started shaking him " Liam. Get up."

"Liam get up" Using his alpha voice, Cobra asked Liam to get up while shaking him so hard in panic.

Finally, Liam furrowed his brows and slowly woke up, confused while looking around to remember what happened.

His sight was a bit blurry and his head hurt.

He finally looked at Cobra’s pale face, even his lips seemed pale, the latter looked terrified "Cobra?"

Cobra’s lips trembled as he fell on his butt and clenched his hair while spacing away " I didn’t know."

Liam winced at pain in his hips and head "Didn’t know what? what happened?"

"I didn’t know. I didn’t know. I didn’t know you are pregnant. I killed Anastasia’s baby. She will never forgive me, she will hate me."

Cobra retreated to the back and squeezed himself in the corner.

Liam’s eyes widened in shock, he is pregnant?

He had no idea.

What did Cobra mean by he killed the baby?

He glanced down at the ground and wall and found blood.

Liam almost starts to panic, terror rushes through his body because of the fear of losing another baby but he touches his head and finds the source of blood.

He put his hand on his stomach and thankfully could feel his baby’s heartbeat.

He is so happy right now.

He is pregnant again.

He will be a father and this time almost everything is perfect with Anastasia and she will be so happy.

The only reason why he added ’almost’ is that Cobra still is not okay with their situation.

"Cobra..." Liam winced when he tried to move as he injured his head and it was bleeding but it was healing already " Hey, calm down, buddy."

By looking at the wounds on his chest and neck, he could easily tell that Cobra was in fact about to kill him.

Liam stood up and walked toward Cobra, ignoring the fact that his shirt was ripped and the wounds on his body were bleeding.

Cobra was still bouncing back and forward, while clenching his hair, spacing away, tears in his eyes as he kept repeating under his breath " I killed Anastasia’s baby. She will hate me forever."

He kept repeating that over and over again while looking blankly at nothing with empty eyes.

" Cobra?" Liam called out and rushed to sit on the floor next to him " Cobra!!!"

" I killed them. Anastasia will never forgive me." Cobra sobbed, his eyes were empty, his heart was beating so fast, at an unhealthy pace, his breathing was messy, and he was panicking.

" COBRA? snap out of it. The baby is fine. COBRA?" Liam tried so hard to pull Cobra back to reality but received no response in return.

Cobra kept pacing back and forth and repeating the same thing.

" Sorry about this." Liam lifted his hand punched Cobra in the face.

And finally Cobra snapped out of whatever space he was locked up in and looked at Liam with soaked eyes.

" Finally, You didn’t kill anything. They are fine. The blood is coming from my bead. The baby is alive. Calm down."

Cobra froze after hearing that as his gaze moved down to look at Liam’s stomach, hearing those heartbeats again " See, they are alive. Don’t worry. Anastasia won’t know about this. She would never hate you."

"They are alive? Anastasia’s baby is okay?" Cobra asked Liam felt so sad when he noticed how lost Cobra looked at him, his eyes shone so innocently and blankly at him, he looked like one word such as ’no’ as an answer to his question could break him into millions of pieces and never be able to collect them again.

Liam grabbed Cobra’s hand and placed it on his abdomen directly " Feel." Cobra kept his hand there and felt the baby’s heartbeats " They are okay. now calm down. Come on get up, Cobra."

He helped Cobra stand up, helped him drink water too, while Cobra stayed quiet and just did whatever Liam asked him to do.

The silence filled the room as he sat on the bed watching Liam cleaning his wounds as he suddenly said " I almost killed you."

Liam chuckled and looked back at him " It’s fine. the baby won’t hold grudge against you. Just please let’s sort things out for Anastasia."

Cobra looked at him, glanced down at his stomach, and stayed quiet for a long time, Liam had no clue that Cobra was thinking about " Okay."
