Chapter 90: Upgrade Complete!

On Seth’s end, things were just as tense...

His Hands of Tide flew through the air, clenched tight into a fist. They slammed into the skull of a silver-scaled Viagra Bull.

The skull dented, but the force of tide didn’t kill it outright, its scales shimmering with defense.

The left Hand of Tide suddenly grabbed the creature by the horns, dragging it into the air. A glow brewed in the right hand, clenched tight as it shot forward.

Tidal force slammed into the soft underbelly of the beast.

[Congratulations! You have Slain an Awakened Rank Creature, Silver-Scaled Viagra Bull!]

[You grow stronger...]

[+11 Strength]

Seth’s eyes flashed. With his Hands of Tide, he was fighting two battles simultaneously.

His cells chilled as invigorating force surged through them.

His crimson frame reeled backward to a skidding halt, utilizing the sudden surge of power to force a stop.

Three Viagra Bulls blitzed straight for him, their horns cocked and radiating deadly glints.

His hair billowed as a cadence of purple swirled. His cloak shimmered, a crystalline dome appearing around him.

His gene skill Absolute Weapon Resonance was unleashed in full glory.

And his cloak’s ability was buffed beyond the threshold it should have ever reached.

Crack!

The dome cracked but held — barely — as three pairs of dangerously simmering horns dug into its transparent surface.

Seth’s eyes glowed with brilliant light. The gloves around his hands lit up, his punch riding the air.

The dome was a one-way defense. Naturally, his attacks passed through unobstructed.

Before the bulls could undo their horns to prepare another charge, a deadly strike pounded one’s skull.

The silver scales rebounded the damage — but there was no surface force to rebound.

The gloves’ elite-grade skill, Sinking Lethality, multiplied attack force by 40% and funneled it directly into the foe’s body.

Before the creature could react, blood leaked from all seven facial orifices. Its brain turned to mush, its body crumbled dead in a heartbeat.

The dome shattered as two more bulls rammed into it.

Now all foes were unimpeded. Four rushed him, galloping with murderous intent brewing in their crimson eyes, a crowd of kin following behind.

Seth’s boots lit up as he raced out of the encirclement, leaving a series of after-shadows in his wake.

His Hands of Tide retreated from their battles, flying back to their host.

The full lethality of Seth’s genetic skills was shown in their glory.

Back on Earth, Seth had fought with a serious nerf. Without myriad weapons, he couldn’t show his true might.

It was akin to fighting with his hands tied. Not only did these weapons increase his lethality by multiple margins, they also made him versatile.

He whipped out his hands. Three short daggers glinted, jutting from the gaps of his fingers.

[Ruid Fang Daggers (one-time use)]

[Grade: Elite]

[Effects: 25% chance of sure penetration]

[Ability: Force Detonation!]

[Details: Once stabbed into foe, it overrides foe’s essence, detonating the being whole!]

With Seth’s gene skill bolstering these effects beyond margins of 4x, their lethality soared.

He flung them straight at the hoard chasing him with relentless frenzy.

25% chance of sure penetration? Multiply that by 4, and you get three blades with 100% chance of penetration.

Simply put, there was no defending. As glorious as the silver-scaled beasts’ defense may be, it didn’t matter.

Strength wasn’t everything. You could be the strongest, but a well-thought-out plan and the right abilities could still end you.

The serrated edges sank into three bulls’ hides, unimpeded.

Blood seeped as the blades sank completely. The bulls bellowed furiously.

Their hooves ignited brighter, ready to lunge at Seth.

But suddenly their essence raged too furiously. Their eyes bulged as their own energy snapped out of control.

Essence brewed into sinister chaos, ripping them apart from inside out.

And that wasn’t all...

Boooom!

Their essence erupted with deadly ferocity, tearing apart themselves and nearby kin.

Even their steely scales couldn’t protect them from the shredding force.

Screens of victory popped into his vision, but he ignored them. For the first time, he gazed at the gleaming loot orbs with interest.

These beasts were high-level. Their drops had to be substantial.

If he could get the right weapon, his assault would become even more aggressive.

But the stampede didn’t allow him the chance.

He turned away, continuing to sprint. Suddenly, three bulls pulled ahead, hooves simmering, horns gleaming. They flashed forward.

Before he could react, a sickening crunch rang out. Three pairs of horns skewered him from various angles.

The crimson eyes of the bulls burned with triumphant gleam. "Finally, their prey is dead!"

Seth’s expression remained chilly. The slightest twitch of pain was unseen. The necklace dangling on his chest burned with brilliant light.

A blinding flash shone. By the time it died down, Seth’s figure had been replaced with a log of wood.

[Item: Swap Crystal Neckwear]

[Effect: 11% Buff in Speed]

[Ability: Blinding Swap]

[Details: Allows user to exchange position and injuries with previously marked objects.]

Seth’s figure appeared in the distance. His Hands of Tide remained, wearing neat leathery black gloves.

Just a second ago, these gloves were on Seth’s hands. But that was the wonder of the Asura Myriad Arms — the owner could switch items between them regardless of time and distance.

The gloves shone. The Asura hands descended.

A huge phantom palm appeared, as though Buddha himself reached down from the skies.

This was merely a shadow cast by the grand coating of essence.

Boom!

The two palms bore down on the bulls. Their scales resisted, but the gloves amplified the attack, funneling it into their innards.

The disastrous force raged. Without suspense, their eyes popped out of sockets, forced out by torrents of blood and liquefied brain matter.

They dropped dead, unmoving.

Chills of strengthening embraced Seth’s body. But his face wore a mask of worry.

He saw Jack’s colossal frame jabbed through, his gigantic figure hanging from the humongous bull’s horn as it dragged him through the earth.

Seth frowned deeper.

’Jack isn’t going to die. Not on my watch.’

In response, a screen flickered:
