Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme
Chapter 44: Creating a new record
The gigantic axe descended toward Victor’s head with monstrous force.
Boom!
A dense barrier of light mana erupted from Victor’s body and blocked the attack completely. Violent shockwaves spread across the forest floor as the surrounding trees shattered apart from the impact alone.
The enormous orc widened its eyes.
Victor slowly raised his hand toward the sky.
At that moment, countless golden magic circles appeared above the forest.
Dozens.
Hundreds.
Then thousands.
The mana throughout the entire first floor started trembling violently.
The surrounding orcs instinctively froze in fear.
Victor’s calm voice echoed throughout the dungeon.
"Light Sword Rain."
Boom!
The sky exploded.
Thousands of radiant swords descended from above like heavenly punishment.
The forest shook violently.
Golden blades pierced through trees, rocks, and flesh simultaneously. Orcs were nailed to the ground before they could even react properly. Entire groups were erased instantly beneath the overwhelming rain of light.
Screams echoed throughout the floor.
Blood splattered everywhere.
The first floor became completely silent within less than one minute.
Victor looked slightly surprised.
During the beast tide, continuously casting Adept Rank spells had placed tremendous strain on his body. His mana circuits had collapsed from overuse.
But now everything felt completely different.
The same level of power that once injured him now flowed naturally through his body.
Then he calmly walked through the destroyed battlefield while collecting the dropped mana cores and physique cores.
Then he entered the second floor.
The massacre continued.
Second floor.
Third floor.
Fourth floor.
Victor advanced through the dungeon like a natural disaster.
No orc could stop him.
His movements became smoother with every battle. Adept Rank spells no longer felt difficult to control. Instead, they flowed naturally from his body as if he had used them for years.
On the seventh floor, dozens of Orc Archers ambushed him simultaneously from the trees.
Hundreds of arrows shot toward him from every direction.
Victor merely raised one finger.
"Metal Reversal."
The arrows suddenly stopped midair.
The next moment, every arrow reversed direction instantly and flew back toward the archers with even greater speed.
It was a basic spell he created for convenience.
Blood erupted throughout the forest.
The hidden orcs collapsed from the trees one after another.
Victor did not even slow down.
On the tenth floor, three giant Orc Berserkers blocked his path.
Their bodies were over three meters tall, and each carried enormous weapons capable of crushing ordinary Novice Rank awakeners instantly.
The first berserker roared and swung its hammer downward.
Victor sidestepped calmly.
Boom!
The ground exploded apart.
Before the orc could recover, a blade of condensed light formed in Victor’s hand.
Slash!
The berserker’s body split apart instantly.
The second orc charged him from behind.
Victor turned slightly and punched forward.
Golden lightning exploded from his fist.
Boom!
The berserker’s chest caved inward violently before its massive body crashed against a distant wall.
The third berserker activated its enhancement skill immediately. Black mana erupted from its muscles as its aura expanded rapidly.
Victor looked at it calmly.
Then hundreds of miniature light swords manifested around him.
The berserker’s eyes widened.
"Die."
Boom!
The creature was shredded apart instantly.
By the fifteenth floor, he had already killed over thousands monsters.
He had obtained more than three hundred mana cores and ten physique cores.
Yet he still showed no signs of exhaustion.
Instead, excitement only continued growing inside him.
He wanted to know exactly how powerful he had become.
He wanted to know how quickly he could clear an entire dungeon alone.
Seventeen minutes later, Victor finally arrived at the twentieth floor.
The gigantic stone gate slowly opened.
Heavy footsteps echoed throughout the enormous chamber.
Boom.
Boom.
Boom.
A gigantic figure emerged from the darkness.
The creature stood over four meters tall. Black armor covered its enormous body while dense killing intent spread throughout the room like a storm.
Its pressure far surpassed ordinary Adept Rank monsters.
Victor smiled slightly.
"High Orc? Not bad. I’ll honor you with my ultimate card."
The High Orc leader released a furious roar and charged toward him immediately.
The entire chamber trembled beneath its footsteps.
Victor slowly raised his hand.
A simple Novice Rank fire sword manifested above his palm.
The High Orc showed obvious contempt after sensing the weak spell.
Victor’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Primordial Chaos."
He muttered softly.
Boom! 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Immense pressure erupted from Victor’s body instantly.
The High Orc stopped moving.
For the first time, fear appeared in its eyes.
The primordial aura surrounding Victor was too terrifying.
Even the dungeon boss instinctively understood the danger standing before it.
Then a dark violet sphere slowly appeared above Victor’s palm.
Space around the sphere distorted violently.
The surrounding mana became unstable.
Even Victor himself could feel how destructive the condensed energy was.
Slowly, he pushed the sphere into the fire sword.
Instantly, the orange flames turned dark violet.
The atmosphere throughout the chamber became incomparably heavy.
Boom!
Victor swung his arm forward.
The dark purple sword shot toward the High Orc like a meteor.
The dungeon boss immediately turned around and started fleeing.
Fear.
The creature was actually feeling fear despite being a dungeon monster.
The next moment, the sword struck its body.
Silence filled the chamber briefly.
Then the High Orc was vaporized completely.
Nothing remained behind.
[Ding! You have created a record for clearing a D Rank dungeon solo at the fastest speed.]
[The announcement will be announced worldwide.]
[Ding! You have received 50000 points.]
Victor blinked.
"Heh? Creating records gives points?"
His eyes immediately brightened with excitement.
At that same moment, a system notification echoed throughout the entire world.
[Ding! Congratulations Victor Walker for creating a new record by solo clearing a D Rank dungeon within twenty minutes.]
The world instantly exploded into chaos.
Outside the dungeon, countless people stared blankly at the sky.
"What?"
"Twenty minutes?"
"How is that even possible?"
Even the greatest genius teams in history had required nearly one hour to clear similar dungeons.
But now someone had done it alone within twenty minutes.
The crowd went crazy
....
Meanwhile, deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean, hidden under an enormous invisible barrier, another civilization existed silently.
Gigantic cities filled with futuristic technology stretched across the underwater world. Flying vehicles crossed the skies while countless advanced structures illuminated the ocean depths.
At that moment, inside one of the massive cities, several young men were discussing another matter entirely.
"Hey, the young master of the Velmir Clan is trying to create a new dungeon record today."
"But to create a new record, he will have to do it in 58 minutes as the previous record is around 59 minutes."
"That is impossible."
"Not exactly. He already managed one hour and ten minutes before."
"No way."
Their discussion continued casually.
For Atlantians, talented young geniuses challenging dungeon records was not uncommon.
Then suddenly the world notification echoed across the sky.
[Ding! Congratulations Victor Walker for creating a new record by solo clearing a D Rank dungeon within twenty minutes.]
Silence.
Complete silence.
The expressions of everyone froze instantly.
"Solo clearing... in twenty minutes?"
One man nearly dropped his drink.
Another stared upward blankly.
"What kind of monster is this?"
"That timing is absurd."
"Even the Velmir Clan’s young master could not achieve anything remotely close to that."
Someone frowned deeply.
"Walker family? I have never heard of any powerful clan with that name."
Another person suddenly lowered his voice.
"Do you think he might be from the surface lands?"
The man beside him immediately waved dismissively.
"There is no way those land mongrels could ever produce such a genius. This person must belong to one of the hidden Atlantian bloodlines."
"But if that is true, why have we never heard his name before?"
Nobody could answer that question.
Meanwhile, in front of an E Rank Green Dungeon under the ocean, a group of hunters stood silently after hearing the announcement.
Among them was a beautiful silver haired girl whose facial features resembled Victor slightly.
Her cold eyes widened faintly.
"Walker? Brother, is that you?"
Excitement flashed across her face briefly.
The surrounding hunters nearly stopped breathing.
"Did Lady Aurora just smile?"
"That must have been my imagination."
"Hurry and lower your voice if you want to live."
Aurora’s expression instantly returned to its usual cold indifference.
Without another word, she entered the dungeon calmly while her team followed behind her like soldiers accompanying a queen.
Meanwhile, Victor exited the Orc Forest dungeon calmly.
The crowd outside had become even larger than before.
Everyone wanted to congratulate him personally.
Victor’s expression stiffened immediately.
Without hesitation, he turned around and ran away at full speed once again.
Inside the taxi afterward, Victor leaned against the seat thoughtfully.
"System," he asked inwardly, "you created mana circuits inside my body. Is it possible to purchase the right to comprehend martial breathing techniques?"
The mechanical voice answered immediately.
[Ding! Of course. To gain permission, you will require one billion points.]
Victor’s mouth twitched violently.
The System was never against the idea of comprehending a martial breathing technique.
But the problem was simply the absurd cost.
Perhaps nobody ever asked the system if they could buy the rights.
Or perhaps even the sages lacked enough points to purchase such permission.
Victor slowly looked outside the taxi window.
"Looks like another beast tide is my only option."
