After briefly hearing the explanation from both sides, the officers quickly lost interest.

Nobody suffered serious injuries.

No weapons were involved.

It was nothing more than a student relationship conflict.

Still, to prevent the situation from escalating further, the officers decided to separate everyone temporarily.

"Come with us" one officer said while gesturing toward Lucas.

Lucas remained calm and followed them outside.

Many thought Lucas was about to get arrested.

Jessica especially looked satisfied.

Her swollen cheek still burned painfully, and seeing Lucas escorted toward the police car finally made her feel slightly better.

Serves him right.

Meanwhile, Zack sneered inwardly.

Even if Lucas only spent a few days detained, his reputation on campus would still be ruined.

Outside the café, Lucas casually entered the back seat of the police car.

The officers had just started the engine when suddenly, the radio inside the vehicle crackled loudly.

"Unit 14, respond immediately. Suspected armed robbery heading east through the university district. Repeat, suspected armed robbery."

Both officers’ expressions instantly changed.

A real criminal case obviously mattered far more than some student argument.

The older officer immediately turned toward Lucas.

"Listen carefully," he said seriously. "We’re letting you off with a warning this time. But if we receive another complaint involving you, we won’t be lenient again."

Then he waved impatiently.

"Get out."

Lucas blinked slightly before opening the door.

The moment he stepped out, the police sirens roared to life.

Wooosh!

The vehicle sped away instantly, disappearing down the crowded commercial street at frightening speed.

The students outside the café were stunned.

Jessica’s expression froze completely.

She had fully expected Lucas to be taken away.

Instead, he simply got out of the car and walked away casually.

Even Zack frowned slightly after seeing this.

But very quickly, a cold sneer appeared on his face again.

So what if the police let him go?

It changed nothing.

Since he couldn’t beat Lucas personally, he would simply hire people to deal with him instead.

Lucas glanced toward the two of them calmly before smiling faintly.

That relaxed smile immediately made Jessica feel even more infuriated.

She almost rushed forward again out of pure anger.

Fortunately, Zack grabbed her arm tightly and stopped her.

"Enough," he muttered coldly.

Jessica turned toward him in frustration.

Originally, she thought Zack would teach Lucas a lesson personally.

But now, she suddenly realized this man was far less fearless than she imagined.

Still, after hearing Zack quietly explain that he planned to hire people to handle Lucas later, Jessica gradually calmed down again.

The rich always had their own methods of dealing with problems.

Why should someone like Zack dirty his own hands fighting with a poor loser like Lucas?

Thinking this way, Jessica finally felt slightly better.

Soon afterward, Zack dragged her toward his car parked nearby before the two quickly left the area.

The moment they disappeared, several nearby students suddenly burst into laughter as they mocked the incident and bad-mouthed Jessica.

Lucas smiled faintly and nodded toward the surrounding crowd.

Originally, he had planned to find a suitable girl nearby to test whether the Infinite Rebate System truly worked.

Unfortunately, after casually glancing around the café, he quickly realized none of the girls present met the system’s beauty requirements.

Most were average-looking at best.

They weren’t even close to a five-point rating, let alone an eight-point score.

Afterward, Lucas apologized to the café owner for the mess and paid for the damaged drinks.

The moment he stepped outside, excitement surged through him again.

He immediately checked the balance on his phone.

A few hundred dollars remained.

That was all.

But if the Infinite Rebate System truly worked the way it claimed...

Then his future would completely change.

Money.

Status.

Power.

Everything could become his.

Ashford University occupied nearly half of the eastern district of Silvermont City, and the surrounding commercial area was one of the busiest places for young people in the city.

Luxury cafés.

Milk tea shops.

Gaming lounges.

Bars.

Branded clothing stores.

The streets were filled with university students enjoying their youth and freedom.

Lucas wandered slowly through the crowded campus district while thinking carefully.

Although beautiful girls passed by constantly, he still felt somewhat awkward approaching random strangers directly.

It wasn’t social anxiety.

It just felt strange suddenly offering to spend money on someone he didn’t even know.

Eventually, Lucas considered another option.

If he spent money on a prostitute, they probably wouldn’t think much of it since they were after money anyway.

But where could he even find one during the daytime?

Just as he was thinking about where he could find a prostitute, two familiar figures suddenly entered his sight.

Near the center of the commercial street, a long queue had formed outside one of the most popular hot dog shops around campus.

Standing within the line were two girls from his class.

Sofia Reign.

And her best friend, Cardi Bee.

Lucas’s eyes lit up slightly.

"Cardi Bee’s appearance was only slightly above average definitely below the system’s standards.

But Sofia?

That was different.

Within Ashford University’s Finance Department, Sofia was considered one of the top beauties.

Not only was she prettier than Jessica, but her temperament was far more elegant and refined.

Many male students secretly pursued her every semester.

Very few ever succeeded.

The moment Lucas realized this, his heartbeat sped up slightly.

This was the perfect opportunity to test the system.

Suppressing his excitement, he walked over naturally.

"Sofia. Cardi."

The two girls turned simultaneously.

When Sofia saw him, surprise flashed across her beautiful eyes before she smiled softly.

"Lucas? What a coincidence."

Then her gaze shifted toward the hot dog stand behind him. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"You came to buy hot dogs for Jessica again?"

Her tone carried light teasing.

After all, everyone in class knew Lucas had revolved around Jessica for years like a devoted simp.

And this hot dog shop wasn’t cheap either.

Even the cheapest combo cost over twenty dollars.

Based on Lucas’s usual habits, Sofia naturally assumed he came here for Jessica again.

Lucas sighed dramatically.

"Don’t mention her."

Then he smiled casually.

"She dumped me today."

He spread his hands helplessly.

"So now I’m celebrating becoming single again with a premium hot dog."

Both Sofia and Cardi froze instantly.

Their expressions immediately became strange.

Honestly, although they privately thought Lucas’s past behavior toward Jessica was overly pathetic, neither of them could deny that he had treated her exceptionally well over the years.

In many ways, he was practically the perfect boyfriend.

That was exactly why they couldn’t understand why Jessica would suddenly break up with him right before graduation.

More importantly, Lucas didn’t look heartbroken at all.

If anything, he looked freer than ever before.

Cardi recovered first and immediately laughed mischievously.

"Lucas, don’t tell me you got dumped and immediately came over here to chase our Sofia?"

Her teasing instantly made Sofia blush slightly.

Although she admitted Lucas was actually a decent person, she had never seriously considered him romantically before.

At least for now, his family background simply didn’t meet her standards.
