"I have something that I would like to say to grandpa." Henry replied calmly.

Newton frowned slightly, but in the end, he said nothing, as he moved back into the study.

Henry closed the door behind him, as he also went and stood next to his father, facing his grandfather, Matthew.

"What is it that you would like to tell me?" Matthew asked, his voice a little bit more relaxed as compared to when he was talking to Newton.

Had it not been for the fact that he was currently angry, he would have been laughing with Henry. After all, this grandson of his, was quite intelligent, and the old man thought highly of him.

At the same time as Matthew asked the question, he felt a little bit regretful. If only Newton had a few qualities that his son had, how great would that be?

When Matthew asked that question, Newton also looked at his son, a little puzzled at what could be so important that Henry had to come looking for Matthew, despite knowing that they were having an important conversation.

"Grandpa, if you are here discussing about Michael, I have something that I would like to share with you." Henry spoke, ignoring the gaze that he was receiving from his father.

"Oh, really? Go ahead." Matthew was slightly surprised, but he urged Henry to speak.

"I went to visit Michael, intending to invite him back to the family. Unfortunately, when I tried to do that, he refused me without hesitation.

And from the attitude that he displayed, it is clear that he doesn’t have any good feelings towards the Santos family. I tried to understand what the reason behind that could be, but he did not clearly state what had happened.

Instead, he asked me to come back and ask my father about this, so that I could understand what was going on.

When I came back, I did not ask my father about this, instead, I began doing my own investigation." Henry explained.

His words left Matthew raising his brows slightly. Of course, during the time that he was investigating about the incident related to Bob, he got the information that Henry had gone to visit Michael.

As for what it was that they had talked about, the old man was not sure about it, but he did not ask either. Still, it was quite a surprise that Henry had gone to invite Michael into the family.

Still, if this kid had somehow pulled that off, how incredible would that be? At least, the old man felt that there was someone within the family that was using their brains quite well.

So, to Henry’s words, he nodded in appreciation, which made Henry feel much more relieved.

On the other hand, Newton’s expression shifted. He had not anticipated this at all.

Previously, when he heard that Henry had gone to look for Michael, of course, he was angry. It was just that, he had not expected that Henry already knew about Michael’s identity, and was even trying to bring him back.

By good or bad luck, that did not work. Otherwise, if Michael had come back to the family, things would have gotten much more complicated.

At least, for now, it is clear that the old man would not suddenly be overwhelmed by his heart condition. Nobody could tell what would have happened if Michael had came back.

It was inevitable, if Michael came back, the old man would have gotten the news that Zachary had passed away. And what would have happened after that, it was hard to predict.

At the same time as he felt relieved about this, Newton decided in his heart, no matter what, he would have to punish this kid. How dare he did something like this without asking him?

Even if he had not yet fully taken the control of the family, at least, he was the person that Henry was supposed to tell something as important as this. Additionally, was he not Henry’s father?

If there was anything that Henry was finding troublesome, he could have at least confided in him, so that they could find a solution.

As he thought about this, he decided once again, he would have to teach this kid a good lesson. At least, he had to make sure that this kid understood that if there was anything of concern, he should let him know first.

Henry on the other hand did not notice his father’s gaze, and neither would he have cared had he known.

Therefore, when he saw the old man nodding, he continued, "After I did my investigation, I realized that both of Michael’s parents had died, not a natural death, but had been killed. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Because of Michael’s attitude, I realized that it was not just a coincidence that had led to the death of both uncle and aunt.

So, I decided to dig deeper into this matter, and I found out that they were both killed, during a bank heist. During that time, they were not the only ones who died, which made things less suspicious.

But when I did an investigation on those that were involved in the bank heist, I realized that there were some transactions that were quite questionable.

A deep investigation made me realize that there was someone who had paid them. As for what exactly he had paid them for, it is not clear.

So, I did an investigation on the person who had paid them. While I did not exactly find the identity of this person, but I realized that the traces that this person left all point towards the Santos family.

Hence, I came to a conclusion that the deaths of both Uncle Zachary and aunt Cynthia were related to someone within the Santos family.

As of now, I have not yet found out who exactly was involved with this, which is why I decided to come find you.

And this is not the only problem. After all, from my understanding of Michael, he seems to have gotten better a few months ago.

He stopped struggling, left Drenn city, going to the provincial capital of the Eastern province, Brenton city, before not long after, he acquired the shares of Sky Technologies.

And from my knowledge, it is clear that he doesn’t only own these few companies. It seems that there is someone else involved, but I can figure that out.

Regardless, with the current abilities that Michael has, and his influence, while not that much to the Santos family, it is still quite important. And, we cannot tell what will happen in the future.

So, even if we are not going to bring him back into the Santos family, at least, we have to clarify things. We have to find who was involved with the death of both Uncle Zachary and aunt Cynthia as soon as possible.

After all, it is not only just about helping clear out this misunderstanding, but it is also for the reputation and ethics of the Santos family. We cannot allow someone to kill a member of the Santos family, especially if it is someone within the Santos family."

Both Matthew and Newton listened to Henry’s monologue for quite a while, neither interrupting. But, their expressions continuously shifted as they listened.

At first, both of them were surprised and shocked, but eventually, while the old man was angry, Newton was confused.

Bam!

Quite a few seconds of silence went by, before the old man suddenly slammed on the desk as he stood up in anger.

"Quite audacious! It seems that there are some people within the family that don’t understand the family rules! Fine! Since I have yet to retire from my position as the family head, I will take this responsibility!

Newton, I want full investigation to be done, and I want to find the culprit as soon as possible. By tomorrow morning, I want to know who was involved in this matter!" Matthew said angrily.

Newton immediately nodded in agreement. He understood, the old man had totally lost it.

It was one thing to know that Zachary had died, but it was completely different to know that it was someone within the family who was involved with the death of Zachary.

Now, the matter involving Newton intending to ship Michael out of the country was set aside. Now, they just had to deal with whoever was involved with this.

Seeing his grandpa so worked up, Henry went ahead and tried to calm him down. He said, "Grandpa, don’t get too angry about this. We will definitely find the culprit behind this, and bring them to justice."

Even though Matthew was extremely angry, looking at his grandson, he felt a little more relieved. At least, there was someone who could take on the responsibility of the family had in the future.

So, he sat down, wondering, should he just continue holding the position, waiting for Henry to grow up, before handing the position to him? After all, he had already lost the faith that he had in Newton.

Just as he was wondering about this, Henry had something else to say.

"I have thought about this matter for quite a while, and I have a few suspicions. I think that there is a probability that someone from the blood reapers syndicate might be involved.

If they are trying to cause some internal strife within the family, they can definitely benefit out of it. So, it is not completely out of question to think that this might just be a setup by the blood reapers syndicate," he said.

Matthew had already thought of that possibility initially. But now that Henry had explained a lot, and brought this up again, the old man suddenly realized something, as he immediately cursed, "Damn, Amos! I will definitely get to the bottom of this!"
