INTERSTELLAR ERA: MY MIND IS A LIBRARY
Chapter 83: BREAK UP
Silas rose from his bed, stretching languorously.
"Huff."
Two days of just learning had made Silas too tired to even think.
He had not stepped out of his room for a single moment throughout his seclusion.
As a Marshal rank cultivator, he could do without eating or resting for a long time, but Silas was used to them.
"I should step out for fresh air," he said, entering the bathroom.
He removed his stud and placed it on a table beside his wardrobe.
The soft sound of water hitting tiles echoed through the room for a long time.
"Yeah, I deserved a bath that long," Silas said as he walked out of the bathroom.
He wore his clothes.
A simple blue shirt that was not buttoned to the top, with black jeans.
Walking into the elevator, Silas looked around.
βWhy do I feel this sense of nostalgia?β He wondered.
The elevator doors slid open and Silas stepped out.
Ever present, Clara bowed.
"How are you doing?" He asked her with a gentle tone.
"Fine, Master Silas," she replied.
Silas nodded.
"Where are the others?" Silas asked her, walking toward the living room.
"Master Miller is in the training room with Lady Billie, Lady Mira is in her room, and Lady Lilura just left here after asking about you."
As Clara said this, she looked around as if trying to remember something.
"She should be in the kitchen now."
Silas nodded.
"Can you bring my food to the living room?" He asked.
"Yes," she said with a curt bow.
She turned back immediately, heading toward the kitchen with deft and quiet steps.
Silas sat in one of the luxurious chairs, letting his back rest against the soft pillows.
"Rion, what is in the message the Governor left for me?"
"Two days ago, he left a message that you and your team are to prepare for what he thinks is the final battle at Methford Stadium."
"Oh, does that mean the enemy is finally revealing themselves?" Silas said.
Before he could continue, a voice tore through the room.
It was Lilura. She ran into the room like an excited child.
In her hand was a tray filled with cookies.
"Youβre finally out. I thought you died in there," Lilura said, jumping into him.
Silas was caught off guard by her sudden action. ππΏπππ ππππ¨πππ.ππ π
"What is wrong?" Silas asked, trying to push her away.
He could remember vividly that she was still angry at him a few days ago.
"Nothing, I realized I overreacted," she said, still in his arms.
"Please stand up. You know I have a girlfriend. This is not proper," Silas said.
Lilura smiled. "Who cares? Itβs not like we are doing anything," she said.
"Just stand up."
Lilura nodded.
"Take these cookies as my peace offering if you want me to stand up," Lilura said, shoving the cookies into his hand.
Silas was about to say no when he heard the sound of the elevator doors opening from behind.
Turning back, his eyes widened, too wide, as if they were about to fall out of their sockets.
"Amelia," Silas said, his tone low.
Lilura stood up, separating herself from him.
"How are you doing? Why did you come here?" Silas asked, walking closer to help her with the box she had dropped.
He stood up, handing her the box.
"So, this is what you have been doing here," Amelia yelled at Silas, her hand striking his face.
The sound reverberated through the room as the force of a Grandmaster using their full strength hit Silas.
Silas did not flinch. He looked into her eyes. "You have broken through to the Grandmaster rank," he said slowly and gently.
"Who is talking about that?" Amelia yelled again, slapping him on his other cheek.
Silas looked at her, his eyes heavy.
"It is not what you think, trust me," he said calmly. "Why would I cheat on you?"
Amelia did not answer. Tears rolled down her eyes.
"Ask her," Silas said, pointing behind him.
Lilura was already gone.
She had left before anyone could notice.
"You expect me to believe you? You even removed the earring I gave you."
At those words, Silasβs fingers touched his ear instinctively.
Another shock.
He remembered removing it earlier when he wanted to bathe.
He suddenly remembered the nostalgia he had felt in the elevator.
"This is my carelessness. It has nothing to do with this. I forgot to put it back on after bathing," Silas tried to explain but Amelia remained adamant.
"You are lying so confidently," she said, her gaze darting through the room in confusion.
She did not know where to go. Her mind was in disarray.
At one point, everyone in the building had gathered there.
Billie walked toward Amelia calmly.
"Silas is telling the truth. At least, according to what I have noticed while we were here, he is always alone," she said.
"The only time we see him is during dining hours."
Amelia looked at Billie with scorn.
"You are also trying to cover for him. Not like it is my business anyway. I am done with him," she said, storming into the elevator.
The elevator rose, sending her back to the roof.
Silas stood silent, rooted in place.
He said nothing.
Finally, he took the bag she had brought and walked toward his room.
Clara followed behind, offering no words.
As Silas walked out of the elevator and entered his room, he sat on the edge of his bed.
His hands held his head.
Tears streamed down his eyes until they could no longer come out.
"That bastard, she did it on purpose," Silas yelled, his hand banging against the frame of the bed.
The bed shattered instantly.
Silas stood up, shaking his head as he tried to contain his emotions.
"Master Silas," Rion called out.
"Your heart rate, it is spiking again."
"Leave it. None of my business anyway," he said in response.
He walked into the bathroom, huge and wide.
His clothes were still on, but he did not care.
He opened the shower, letting the water strike his body.
"Relationship, love, these bastards," he said as his eyes reddened again.
