INTERSTELLAR ERA: MY MIND IS A LIBRARY
Chapter 84: REVELATION
Silas walked out of the bathroom, drenched from head to toe.
"Master Silas, you might want to change your clothes and dry these ones," Rion said in his mind, as aloof as ever.
Silas opened his eyes, then nodded.
He walked back into the bathroom, pulled his clothes off and put them in a corner.
Walking out, he went to the wardrobe and pulled out a new set of clothes.
While he wore them, he gave cursory glances at the bag she had brought.
Then at the earring on the table beside his bed.
After he wore the new clothes, he attached it to his ear.
He looked at the collapsed bed frame for a while.
"Who needs the frame? As long as I have the mattress, the rest is settled," he said, moving to remove the frame holding the bed at the front.
He placed everything to one side of the room.
Sitting on the mattress’s edge, he brought the box closer.
It contained some fruits, cookies, drinks, and food.
Silas brought the fruit out first.
It was packed neatly in a compartment fruit box.
There was starplum and some other fruits he had not seen before.
Silas drew the table closer and set the fruit box on it.
He moved to the next, a cookie pack.
Opening it, Silas saw different flavors ranging from vanilla to chocolate to strawberry.
At a glance, there were more than 20 flavors. And each flavor had about 10 cookies.
He placed it on the table too and brought the food out.
The box contained several compartments, allowing her to split the food into sections.
In the lowest one, she had served a blue grain. In the second, she had served soup.
The second section had more depth compared to the others, which allowed the soup to stay without spilling.
In the highest, there were some chicken wraps.
Silas placed it on the table too.
"Rion, send me to the Nexus Dimension," Silas said.
His form flickered out of the place.
In less than thirty minutes, he appeared in the same position again, this time wearing a ring on his finger.
With a thought, the boxes and the table that carried them disappeared.
Silas sighed and lay back on the bed.
"Master Silas, you have more important things to deal with, especially tomorrow," Rion reminded, trying to keep Silas focused.
Silas sighed.
"Connect me to Gaia. I want to ask her a question using my quota for this month," he suddenly said.
"Okay, Master Silas."
A few seconds passed before a holographic projection popped up before Silas.
It was the image of a lady, with golden hair that stretched down her back and eyes that seemed to switch color depending on the angle.
She wore a silver dress that stopped at her knees.
She was the most pristine thing Silas had ever set his eyes on.
Looking at her, he temporarily forgot about his current pain.
But he snapped out of his daze quickly.
After all, Gaia was the AI in charge of humanity’s knowledge and not a person.
"Help me analyze this video. Does it seem like this person is lying?"
He asked, telling Rion to show the video to Gaia.
Gaia went through the video in less than a second, then her eyes flickered.
After a few seconds, she opened them fully again.
"Yes, this person is lying," she replied.
"Her replies were perfectly planned to lead the entire conversation," Gaia added.
Her voice was calm and alluring to the point where even the hardest hearts would melt hearing it.
But Silas did not even feel the allure behind her words.
His body radiated pure killing intent at Gaia’s words.
"She is the one helping the Crimson Fang," Silas said, storming toward the elevator.
"Hastening the arrival of your guard. He would arrive in an hour," Gaia said, even though Silas could no longer hear her.
The elevator doors chimed open and Silas walked out in a fit of rage.
"Clara, all maids should evacuate the building as fast as possible."
Silas did not stop as he spoke. He walked through, reaching the elevator that led to Lilura’s room.
A maid tried to stop him, but Aiden walked in just at that moment.
"Mia, leave the building at once," he said.
Mia was about to talk back.
"Are you questioning me?" Aiden asked, his tone rising, eyes staring directly into Mia’s.
"No," she said with a bow as she walked toward the exit quickly.
"Sorry, Master Silas," Aiden said.
Silas nodded as he entered the elevator.
Although Aiden did not know the reason for the sudden change, he still did his best to make things easier for Silas.
From coordinating the maids to leave, to alerting the rest of the team in case things went sideways.
He handled everything before boarding the chopper alongside the rest of the maids.
Watching them leave, Billie and Mira looked at Miller.
"Governor Max, it seems like Silas is about to do something crazy," Miller said to Max over the call.
Max shook his head. "I expected him to be more rational than this. Over a break up, he wants to ruin the entire planet when we have a crucial battle tomorrow."
Max tapped his head lightly.
"I would be there in a few minutes," he finally said, hanging up.
Billie looked at Miller for a moment before she spoke. "What do we do now?"
"We wait for the Governor. Although I hate to say this, there is nothing we can do against Silas," Miller replied.
Billie nodded. She thought the same too.
...
The elevator doors began to slide open.
Lilura sat on her bed calmly, hands interlocked as she stared at the opening doors.
A smile played across her lips as she looked at Silas.
"How did you find out?" She asked directly.
Silas said nothing.
"The operation has started," Lilura said, quiet enough that Silas did not hear.
...
Max stood from his chair, about to use his spatial manipulation when a voice came from behind the elevator.
"Where do you think you’re going? Your opponent is me," the person said.
The elevator doors opened with a chime and the person stepped in.
