Invincible through Touching Corpses
Chapter 380: Reaching an Agreement
Hearing the doubt in Xie Shanyong’s voice, Lin Xinghai didn’t get angry. He simply said, "If you think my plan won’t work, do you have a better one?"
Xie Shanyong was left speechless.
Lin Xinghai glanced at the assembled group. He knew some things had to be explained clearly. He pointed at the doors and windows and said, "Opening the main entrance to let the Zombies in is necessary."
"Even if we don’t, these doors and windows won’t hold for much longer."
As if to prove his point, just as Lin Xinghai spoke, the security grill on one of the windows was slashed open. A Zombie arm reached through. At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before the entire window was breached.
"If we wait for the Zombies to smash through the windows and doors, they’ll pour in from multiple directions at once. Dealing with that would be far more troublesome."
"It’s better to open the main entrance now. That way, we’ll know exactly where the Zombies are coming from and can deploy our forces accordingly."
"I’ve done a quick survey of this mall. With the elevators out of service, there are only three fire escape stairwells leading to the upper floors."
"We can lock the fire doors in two of those stairwells, leaving only the furthest one open for the Zombies to pass through."
"This mall is pretty big. If we guide them deliberately through a few extra corridors, delaying them for five minutes per floor shouldn’t be a problem."
"And our goal is to kill 600 Zombies within those five minutes."
At this point, Lin Xinghai paused, looked at Xie Shanyong, and said, "Of course, you just mentioned you might not even be able to kill 60 Zombies. So, my request isn’t high. Your Wolf Hunting Squad just has to kill 30 Zombies in those five minutes. That should be doable, right? My team will handle the rest."
Hearing this, Xie Shanyong’s face flushed bright red. "Brother Lin, that’s not what I meant. I was just using a figure of speech. Don’t worry, if it comes down to it, we’ll definitely pull our weight."
"I can’t promise more, but on each floor, the Wolf Hunting Squad will kill at least 100 Zombies."
Lin Xinghai chuckled. "I don’t need you to fight desperately. I just need you to follow my commands."
"When the fighting starts, conserve your Energy as much as possible. Don’t use your Superpowers unless your life is at risk. They need to be saved for critical moments."
"What? If we don’t use our Superpowers? Then how are we supposed to fend off the Zombie assault?" This time, it was Sun Tianbo who asked.
After all, his understanding of Lin Xinghai wasn’t much deeper than Xie Shanyong’s.
"Use the weapons in your hands, or even your bodies, to hold them back. Don’t be afraid of getting hurt. We have the best Healing Element Superpower User here." As he spoke, Lin Xinghai gestured toward Liu Miaomiao.
The crowd watched as the beautiful girl who had been standing by Lin Xinghai’s side gently waved an arm as fair as jade.
Soon, they saw specks of green light float in through the walls and gather at her fingertips.
Then, with a flick of her finger, the green light split in two and shot directly toward two members of the Wolf Hunting Squad.
Those two members were both heavily injured. One clutched his chest, cold sweat beading on his forehead. During the battle, one of his ribs had been cracked after repeated blows from a High Level Zombie.
The other man had a gash on his thigh, about an inch long, revealing the torn flesh beneath.
In their current state, the two of them were at half strength, at best.
If they were to be surrounded by another two or three High Level Zombies, their lives would absolutely be in danger.
But now, as the green orbs of light entered their bodies, everyone could see the color return to their faces at a visible rate.
The effect of the healing might have been difficult to see on the member with the fractured rib.
However, everyone could see the gash on the other man’s thigh healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
In just a few seconds, it was as good as new.
Seeing this incredible Healing Ability, everyone looked at Liu Miaomiao with unconcealed delight.
With her on their side, they could fight with far less restraint, even employing tactics where they traded injuries to deal damage.
"Alright! Any more questions about my plan? If not, get ready immediately. We’re running out of Time," Lin Xinghai said, pointing to the shuddering main entrance.
"Brother Lin, I have one last question. How do you plan to kill 600 Zombies on each floor? With Firearms?" Xie Shanyong asked.
It was the only solution he could think of to break the deadlock.
Of course, that was assuming their team had saved enough ammunition.
Hearing Xie Shanyong’s question, Sun Tianbo’s eyes also lit up.
He had almost forgotten about that. Of course, the vast majority of his team’s ammunition had already been handed over to Lin Xinghai, so whether they did this or not was ultimately up to him.
However, under everyone’s watchful gaze, Lin Xinghai shook his head without the slightest hesitation. "No. They don’t have much ammo left."
At the same time, he turned to Sun Tianbo and said, "My Gun Technique is better than any of yours. I never miss. Once we start, none of you are to fire. Give all your remaining ammunition to me!"
’Lin Xinghai had no intention of using his own bullets here. Of course, other people’s bullets were a different story.’
"Uh..." Sun Tianbo hadn’t expected Lin Xinghai to give such an order.
After a slight hesitation, he said, "If you’re the only one shooting, won’t the kill rate be too slow? We actually have a few people here with pretty good Gun Technique. Their accuracy at close range is quite high."
"You shooting would just be a waste of bullets," Lin Xinghai said, a statement that left them confused. He then added, "Don’t worry. Even on full-auto, I still never miss. The kill rate won’t be slow."
Now, everyone was truly stunned. Firing on full-auto and firing single shots were two completely different things.
If he could maintain perfect accuracy even on full-auto, then his Gun Technique was truly, terrifyingly good.
Sun Tianbo didn’t know what else to say. If he pushed the issue further, it would be the same as publicly contradicting Lin Xinghai.
"Alright, then. We’ll follow your lead," Sun Tianbo finally said.
Seeing the reluctant look on his face, Little Fatty couldn’t help but let a mocking smile curl his lips.
’He couldn’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they saw Lin Xinghai’s Gun Technique in action. After all, Lin Xinghai had said he never missed, but he’d conveniently left out the part where his targets would be the High Level Zombies.’
