Si Ley shook Ah Dai’s hand, saying, "Ah Dai, your sister and the others will be fine."

Rain poured down, drifting along with the chilling winds on the beach. Ah Dai anxiously walked to the seaside, looking out in the distance. Yet, he still couldn’t see Si Fei and the others. He turned his head towards Si Ley and said, "Leyley, it’s raining. You should go home and tell your grandfather to hurry. Si Fei and Si Feng haven’t returned yet. I’ll wait here."

Si Ley nodded and ran towards the town. The wind grew stronger, accompanied by higher waves, but there was still no sign of Si Fei and Si Feng. They were Ah Dai’s close friends, and in his heart, he already regarded them as family. He anxiously strode to the seaside, letting the seawater drench his pants.

He couldn’t keep waiting like this. If something happened to Si Fei and Si Feng, how could he face Uncle Xi Er! Thinking of this, Ah Dai removed his coat and tossed it aside, before plunging into the vast sea. Although he wasn’t adept at swimming, his body was sturdy due to his cultivation practice. He adjusted his breath, struggling through the waves. In a short while, he had been carried further into the deep sea, the shore shrunk to a blurred line. As he swam, he kept shouting Si Fei and Si Feng’s names. However, his voice was swallowed by the waves. How could he reach anyone in this boundless sea? At this point, he still did not realize he had also put himself in danger.

Due to the waves on the sea, Xi Er’s three sons had already docked their boats and returned home. As they entered, they happened to meet Si Ley, who came back to give the news. Without taking any rest, they immediately rushed to the seaside.

Si Ley exclaimed, "Dad, isn’t that brother and sister?" As expected, Si Fei and Si Feng had just emerged from the sea and were on the beach.

Seeing them, Si Fei excitedly ran over and shouted, "Dad, Uncle Two, Uncle Three, what are you all doing here?"

The father of Si Fei, Xi Zhong said in a deep voice, "You two are too audacious, daring to swim in such high waves. What if you were swept away by the sea?"

Si Fei stuck her tongue out, holding her father’s hand, she said in a charming voice, "Dad, we won’t. Feng and I are good swimmers, why would we get into trouble? It’s so exciting to play in the waves! It was just a bit hard to swim back." She turned to her younger brother and asked, "Leyley, where is Ah Dai? Aren’t you with him?"

Si Ley paused and looked towards his father, Xi Bai, "Wasn’t Ah Dai waiting at the shore for you guys? How come he’s not here?"

Xi Zhong looked at his two brothers and said, "Let’s look around quickly, Ah Dai definitely wouldn’t leave Fei and Feng and go home first. He should be nearby." Although he said this, a sense of unease rose in his heart. The beach was flat with no cover. If Ah Dai was around, they should have seen him by now.

Si Feng suddenly said, "Dad, Uncle One, Uncle Three, isn’t that Ah Dai’s coat?"

Xi Zhong, Si Fa, and Xi Bai hurried over. Indeed, Ah Dai’s coat lay on the beach, drenched by the rain. They looked at each other, the color draining from Xi Zhong’s face as he said, "This isn’t good, Ah Dai must have gone to the sea to look for you guys. He’s not a good swimmer, and it might be hard for him to swim back. Third Brother, hurry up and inform Uncle Owen. Second Brother, let’s go into the sea and look for him." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

At this point, Ah Dai could no longer see the shore. Under the dim clouds, waves continued to crash against his body. Wiping off the seawater on his face, he anxiously looked around, "Fei, Feng, where are you?" All he could think of now was the safety of Si Fei and Si Feng. A large wave swept over, causing Ah Dai to swallow some salty seawater. The bitter taste made him feel unusually uncomfortable. Gradually, his energy was draining away, the crisis was creeping on him.

A floating Ah Dai suddenly felt a severe pain in his legs, as if something had pricked him. Crying out in pain, Ah Dai bent down to touch, his hand touching a slippery body. The slippery body had a sharp thorn that deeply penetrated the muscles of his thighs. Blood reddened the seawater around him. Grabbing the slippery body with both hands, Ah Dai pulled out the thorn diligently. His entire right leg went numb as blood kept flowing out. Ah Dai took a deep breath, the True Qi inside his body automatically transferred to the wound, sealing his blood vessels so that he no longer kept bleeding. The seawater continued to sting his wounds, and Ah Dai nearly fainted from the pain.

The slippery body in his hand suddenly started to twist violently, trying to break free from Ah Dai’s hands. Ah Dai brought the creature up to eye level and saw that it was a golden, exotic two-foot-long fish. The fish was entirely golden, different from the fishes Ah Dai had seen before. It had an extra long, glittering golden mouth, equal in length as its body, which had just stabbed into Ah Dai’s thigh.

While Holding the fish’s mouth with one hand, and its tail with the other, Ah Dai floated on sea level thanks to the buoyancy of the seawater. As he had lost a significant amount of blood, waves of dizziness hit him. Wave after wave still lashed unabatedly at his body, the fish struggled multiple times but couldn’t break free from Ah Dai’s strong hands.

Ah Dai in a daze, spoke angrily to the fish, "Why did you prick me, it hurts!" The sea spray flowed over the fish’s eyes, appearing as if it was shedding tears. Its two shimmering golden eyes looked at Ah Dai pitifully as if pleading him to let it go.

Ah Dai’s heart softened, he said, "I’ll let you go, but you can’t prick me again. You shouldn’t prick anyone else either." Saying this, he threw the fish back into the sea. Golden light flashed a few times in the water, and the fish disappeared.

Ah Dai carefully touched the wound on his leg, which had stopped bleeding, and continued shouting, "Fei, Feng, where are you? It’s me, Ah Dai!" After shouting a few times, his voice became hoarse. With every hit from the waves, Ah Dai’s consciousness was getting blurrier.

Just when Ah Dai was about to faint, a golden light flashed. The golden fish returned, it rubbed Ah Dai’s body with its long mouth, with something in its mouth.

Ah Dai wiped off the seawater on his face, gasping for breath as he asked, "Is this for me?"

The fish nodded as if it understood what Ah Dai said. Ah Dai took the thing off the fish’s mouth to find a white jade ring. From the looks of it, it was nothing special. Ah Dai blinked his misty eyes, struggling just to get the ring on his left index finger. A large wave came over, and he blacked out instantly.

At the beach, led by Xi Bai, Owen rushed anxiously to the beach where Ah Dai had entered the sea. The raging waves continuously hit the beach. Si Fei, Si Feng, and Si Ley stood on the beach. Si Fei and Si Feng knew they were troublemakers, they stood head hanging, silent. Owen anxiously asked, "Fei, have your father and uncle found Ah Dai?"
