Chapter 350: The Revelation of Sun Ming

Sun Lixia could clearly see from Sun Weilong’s expression that something was weighing heavily on him. She sat with Li Xiaojun and Li Yanyan, brows furrowed in concern. Li Xiaojun asked, "Brother-in-law, what seems to be the problem?"

Sun Weilong, his voice strained, replied, "It’s a long story. I’d prefer everyone to be here. Can you please contact Li Chen and Li Xinjie as well? I’ve already texted Sun Gang and Sun Fang."

Li Xiaojun nodded. "Of course." He promptly called his two sons.

Sun Lixia, her worry growing, asked, "Is everything okay, brother?"

Sun Weilong shook his head. "No, it’s not okay, princess."

Li Yanyan, sensing the gravity of the situation, offered, "Should I give you some privacy?"

Sun Weilong waved off her concern. "Oh no, you’re Brother-in-law’s sister. That makes you family. And besides, I need all hands on deck for this one."

The group sat in tense silence, waiting for everyone to arrive. Sun Lixia watched anxiously as Sun Weilong tapped his knees, his anxiety palpable.

After about 30 minutes, Sun Fang arrived, his expression one of concern. "Dad, what’s going on? It sounded like an emergency."

Sun Weilong looked around, his brow furrowed. "Where’s your brother? He should be here by now."

Sun Fang shrugged. "I don’t know, Dad. He wasn’t at the office."

Li Xinjie arrived with his wife, Cen Yuhuan, followed closely by Li Chen and Zhang Mei. Sun Weilong greeted them, his voice strained. "Li Chen and Li Xinjie, glad you two could come. We have so much to talk about."

Li Xinjie, his expression one of worry, asked, "What’s the matter, Uncle Weilong?"

Sun Weilong sighed. "Let’s wait for Sun Gang, then I’ll explain everything."

Li Chen and Li Xinjie exchanged worried glances as the group made small talk, biding their time until Sun Gang’s arrival.

Two hours passed, and it became clear that Sun Gang was not coming, likely still angry that Sun Lixia had appointed Sun Fang as the chairman of the Sun Group. Sun Weilong, his patience wearing thin, said, "Well, it seems like Sun Gang isn’t coming. We’ll brief him later. We don’t have much time."

Sun Fang, his worry growing, asked, "What’s going on, Dad?"

Sun Weilong took a deep, long sigh, then said, "I’m sorry, Fang. Please don’t hate me for what I’m about to tell you."

Sun Fang, his voice filled with concern, replied, "Dad, you’re scaring me. And besides, I could never hate you. You’re my father."

Sun Weilong began to narrate his story, revealing his 19-year-old secret: the existence of Sun Fang and Sun Gang’s baby sister, Sun Ming. When he finished, the room fell into a stunned silence.

Sun Fang, his voice laced with hurt, said, "But...you didn’t even trust us enough to tell us the truth about our own sister?"

Sun Weilong, his head bowed, replied, "I was scared, son. I’m so sorry."

Sun Fang pressed on, "Does she even know about us?"

Sun Weilong nodded. "Yes, she does. She knows why I have to keep her hidden."

Sun Fang, his frustration growing, exclaimed, "So many things have happened! We buried Grandpa without her!"

Sun Weilong, his voice heavy with regret, explained, "After what happened with Sun Lixia those decades back, I was scared. You know how much I always had..."

Sun Lixia interjected, "But..."

Sun Weilong continued, "Yes, sister, I know you were found months back, but I’m still scared. Scared that whoever had kidnapped you 40 years ago would take my baby girl away."

Sun Fang, his voice softer now, asked, "Did Grandpa know about this?"

Sun Weilong nodded. "Yes, I discussed this with him when your mother died."

Sun Fang, his eyes glistening with unshed tears, asked, "Can...can I see her?"

Sun Weilong took out his phone and showed them pictures of Sun Ming. Sun Fang, his voice filled with wonder, said, "She looks so much like Mom."

Sun Weilong, a sad smile on his face, agreed, "Yes, she does. She’s an exact copy."

Sun Fang, a hint of joy in his voice, said, "Wow, I have a baby sister."

Sun Weilong, his expression growing serious once more, said, "Yes, you do. That’s why I wanted everyone here."

Li Chen, his brow furrowed, asked, "Uncle Weilong, why tell us now?"

Sun Weilong began to recount his conversation with Yang Bojun, and everyone in the room grew furious as they listened.

Li Yanyan, her voice filled with disgust, said, "I always knew that half-brother of yours was no good."

Sun Lixia, her anger palpable, exclaimed, "How dare he? That’s his own niece!"

Sun Weilong, his voice heavy with worry, said, "Well, he doesn’t care. All he cares about is taking the Sun legacy and having it in his own hands."

Sun Fang, his voice laced with rage, declared, "That bastard! If he dares to touch a single strand of her hair, I’ll slaughter him!"

Li Xinjie, his voice calm and measured, suggested, "Maybe it’s time Cousin Sun Ming returns home, don’t you think, Uncle Weilong?"

Sun Weilong, his worry still evident, said, "I’m still worried about her safety."

Sun Lixia, her voice filled with determination, said, "She can stay with us for the time being while we deal with Yang Bojun. She’ll be safe here."

Li Xiaojun, nodding in agreement, added, "Yes, yes, Brother-in-law. The house is quite empty anyway after everyone left."

Sun Weilong, his voice trembling slightly, said, "I...I’m still worried...the people who kidnapped Sun Lixia are still unknown. What if...?"

Li Chen, his voice filled with conviction, said, "Uncle Weilong, nothing will happen to her. I promise that on my life. We can protect her. Bring her back home."

Sun Fang, his voice filled with determination, said, "As for that Yang Bojun..."

Sun Lixia, her voice stern, said, "He may be our half-brother, but he’s gone too far with his quest for power. Don’t give him the shares."

Sun Weilong, his voice filled with anguish, said, "What if they kill her? My wife would never forgive me."

Sun Fang, his voice filled with emotion, said, "Dad, Mom is gone, and you said she always wanted to have her kids around. What do you think she feels now that you sent her daughter away when she was still an infant?"

Sun Weilong opened and closed his mouth, unsure of how to respond.

Li Xiaojun, his voice filled with determination, said, "What we can do is strengthen security. We’ll have guards escort her from wherever she is and safely bring her back home."

Li Yanyan, her voice filled with reassurance, added, "We’ll make sure no harm comes her way."

Sun Weilong, his voice trembling, said, "I’m scared."

Sun Lixia, her voice filled with fierce determination, said, "Don’t worry, brother. That’s my own niece. God, finally, I’m not the only Sun daughter! I’ll do anything to keep it that way."

Sun Weilong, his worry still evident, said, "Yang Bojun has his men watching her every move."

Li Xinjie, his voice filled with confidence, said, "Oh, don’t worry, Uncle Weilong. He won’t even know when we have her, and if anyone stands in our way, they’ll meet their end."

As the family discussed their plans to protect Sun Ming and bring her home, a sense of unity and determination filled the room. They knew that the path ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, but they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Sun Weilong, his heart filled with a mixture of fear and hope, knew that he could no longer keep his daughter hidden away. It was time for her to come home, to be surrounded by the love and protection of her family.

As the meeting drew to a close, each member of the family pledged their support and commitment to ensuring Sun Ming’s safety. They would stop at nothing to protect her from the nefarious schemes of Yang Bojun and anyone else who dared to threaten their family.

In the hours to come, they would put their plan into action, working tirelessly to bring Sun Ming home and to unravel the twisted web of deceit and betrayal that surrounded them.

For now, however, they took solace in the knowledge that they were united, a family bound by love, loyalty, and an unbreakable determination to protect their own.

As Sun Weilong looked around the room, he saw the fierce love and commitment in the eyes of his family. He knew that, no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as one.

And so, with hearts filled with hope and minds focused on the task at hand, they family prepared to embark on a journey that would test their strength, their resolve, and their unwavering commitment to one another.

Sun Lixia could tell that, though assures, Sun Weilong was still worried for the safety of Sun Ming. But she knew she would do anything to make sure that no harm befalls her only niece. As for Yang Bojun, she had a plan in mind to make sure he doesn’t get close to anyone else.
