Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 111: A Devastating Slap!
As soon as Felix arrived in front of Jayden, who took the Rooted Horizon stance, Moon on his shoulder growled after sensing the Ironclaw Cat and Steelcoil Serpent were about to make a move.
She released a small fog that instantly covered them, causing their enemies to be blinded.
Unfortunately, the small fog’s chilling effects weren’t enough to slow them down, only to cover their eyes.
Felix slashed his wooden sword with the River Strike.
Jayden perceived the noise of his wooden sword and the energy radiating from it and utilized his senses to block it.
When his wooden sword coated with metal energy collided with Felix’s wooden sword, despite the toughness of his wooden sword and with the help of the Rooted Horizon by grounding himself to the ground, he felt the impact of Felix’s wooden sword, as though a massive river had crushed down on him.
He held his breath due to the impact—the strength of Felix’s wooden sword made it difficult for him to breath.
Suddenly, the strength of Felix’s wooden sword vanished, and his instinct screamed for danger.
He perceived the water energy from Felix’s wooden sword suddenly leaving and targeting his blindspots, but his hands were full. Despite his beast pets sensed his intention and attempted to block it, it was faster causing the strike to finally land at his nape.
He felt the hard object hitting his nape, but he immediately regained his consciousness after feeling his mind turned blank briefly.
Felix raised his sword again and Jayden blocked it. Yet, this time again, Felix’s strike curved and struck his nape.
"W-What’s that? Why is his sword energy curving and hitting my nape?"
Jayden began to harden his nape with his metal energy, enabling him to last longer during their exchanges.
Meanwhile, his beast pets couldn’t join in the attack—Moon kept releasing small fog while attacking them with her silent footstep.
Jayden wouldn’t even notice that Moon was using his body as a platform to attack his beast pets once at a time.
Their exchange lasted for a minute, while Jayden continued to endure Felix’s attack that kept curving—not only hitting his nape, but also the blind spot on his back and his lower torso.
He gritted his teeth and executed the Mist-Splitting Line when he finally had a chance, which actually forced Felix to almost feel out of balance.
The metal energy overwhelmed him a bit, targeting his center of balance. Thankfully, before his foot left the ground, he executed the Wave Step, repositioning him outside of the small fog.
To his surprise, a Bladewing Hawk dove down towards him at a speed difficult to follow with his naked eye.
Felix executed the Wave Step again to evade backward, causing the Bladewing Hawk to hit nothing. But before it collided to the ground, it instantly regained its balance in mid-air and continued attacking straight at him with its talons ready to slice him up.
Felix used Wave Step again to move backward, regaining enough distance, and use Wave Step again, gathering momentum of water energy inside his body to attack the Bladewing Hawk.
However, the Bladewing Hawk smirked and utilized its extreme agileness to evade Felix’s attack, causing Felix to run past him instead of hitting nothing but air.
The Bladewing Hawk was stunned. Felix was supposed to lose his balance after running at full speed and hitting nothing but mid-air but instead continued running towards where the white fog instead.
The Bladewing Hawk twisted his body and dashed towards Felix’s back, but Felix speed was becoming faster than him.
Felix was in a hurry. He perceived that Moon was wounded by the Ironclaw Cat after she gravely injured the Steelcoil Serpent, who was about to successfully coil its body around her.
Jayden was joining in the battle of hitting Moon. If it wasn’t because Moon was absurdly fast and her speed was barely affected after being wounded, Moon wouldn’t have survived from their onslaught long.
Thankfully, Felix could join in and alleviate Moon’s burden. The Bladewing Hawk evaded his attack as he predicted. It must have sensed the impact that its master endured from his wooden sword, so Felix was confident the Bladewing Hawk wouldn’t be as confident as fighting him head-on.
Felix arrived just in time to force Jayden to try intercept his attack. Jayden was successful, not only he was stronger than Felix in terms of physical aspect after reaching Commander Rank 6, but his metal energy force Felix’s also wooden sword to be intercepted.
However, before Jayden could counterattack, Felix’s strike curved again and hit his nape. It was the hardest strike. After all, Felix’s accumulated water energy after using Wave Step again and again didn’t crash into Jayden’s wooden sword and instead follow the path of the River Strike.
Felix had level up his sword technique—combining the River Strike and Wave Step. It was his most powerful trump card at the moment.
As a result, Jayden was completely taken by surprise. He was knocked unconscious for a brief moment. For Felix, it was enough.
Yet, he didn’t strike, he crouched down, causing the Bladewing Hawk to fly past Felix. He managed to pull his talon on time, but the speed he had reached was difficult to stop in colliding with his master.
Jayden finally regained his consciousness, but he was already losing his balance. He managed to step his foot backward to recover his balance, but a shadow of a foot covered his face.
He tilted his head slightly yet received Felix’s kick.
He tried shifted another foot to reclaim his balance once again as his Steelcoil Serpent had finally arrived and was about to coil its body around Felix’s neck, binding and suffocating him.
However, Felix held his breath and ignored the Steelcoil Serpent as he followed up again with another River Strike.
Jayden swung his wooden sword with one hand in an awkward position after he just reclaimed his balance, but as expected, Felix’s wooden sword energy strike curved again.
He had anticipated it would attack his nape again, causing him to expend most of his energy on that area, but Felix’s strike hit his ankle instead.
Jayden lost his balance and was about to fall from the elevated narrow beam, but sensed his Ironclaw Cat, now on the floor, was about to grab his uniform with his claws to regain his balance.
However, he suddenly saw a fat, white paw hitting his cheeks, knocking him out and pushing him out of the elevated narrow beam, falling to the sunken part of beast sync arena...
