Chapter 113: Give Me A Sword Technique

When Felix’s duel started, Krisha was startled to hear the familiar voice behind her.

She turned around and was stunned to see Doctor Eleanor. But she gasped in shock after seeing Mia walking towards her direction.

Krisha had not met Felix’s parents, but seeing his father and mother up close and discerned the semblance, she was then aware that Mia was accompanied by her parents and Doctor Eleanor.

The cure was successful? Krisha was in disbelief.

In fact, her skepticism of Felix’s action, starting from the cure he confidently claimed, had long been faded after meeting the Absolute Winter Sovereign.

She was even elated to know that Felix didn’t know that she knew of his secret. It was also her secret she didn’t want him to know.

Now, as Mia was finally cured, she wanted to approach them but held herself back. She didn’t want to interrupt their desire to surprise Felix.

Yet, Mia’s eyes landed at her, and she pulled the hand of her mother while pointing at her. Krisha smiled in response, waiting for Mia to pull them towards her.

Once they arrived, the modular terrain floor had just changed into elevated narrow beams. Hence, after Mia hugged Krisha deeply, with the latter reciprocating to a great extent, they both turned around and watched Felix defeated Jayden in a spectacular but anxious battle.

When they saw Felix was knocked unconscious, Mia was about to cry, but thankfully, Doctor Eleanor assured her she would wake Felix up without suffering from repercussion.

When Felix finally woke up, Krisha slowly distanced herself away from Mia, confidently saying that Felix would run at her and hug her.

Hence, Mia didn’t complain and nodded.

As expected, Felix ran at full speed and hugged Mia tightly. Krisha was teary eyed.

Watching the family reuniting together, Krisha couldn’t help but cry.

She recalled her mother—her image passing in her mind.

She wished she could bring back her mother, too. Whether it would be a tragic or joyful reunion, so long as they got together even for a while, Krisha would be happy.

Unknown to her, when the cameraman’s camera pointed at Felix and his family hugging together, she was included in the background.

Although blurred, the mayor was familiar with her silhouette. Timothy Chambers III smiled bitterly. He knew what Krisha felt at the moment.

He was also proud of her, for having a potential far stronger than he was. He was confident that Krisha’s desire to see her mother wouldn’t be impossible soon.

He would support her even if she decided to venture the dangerous outside world, having been assured that he would be stronger than him.

Lucia was teary eyed, as well. Glancing at the mayor’s back, she also smiled bitterly.

She then returned her gaze at the television and couldn’t be happier to witness Felix’s best moment of his life.

Felix himself didn’t know how to react. He broke into tears and simply cried to his heart’s content.

Not out of sadness but out of joy.

It was really a puzzling reason—to cry out of extreme happiness.

But he experienced it, he thanked the Guide for letting him experience it.

Guide didn’t say anything in response, letting Felix savor his happiness.

The family hugged together as Master Vey was telling the viewers of Felix’s situation, causing the viewers to be teary-eyed, as well.

It was definitely a successful duel that generated enough money for Felix to receive a million credits for it...

...

The broadcasting network team finally concluded the live duel after they interviewed Felix. The latter was asked various question, but the most important question was "did you expect your family, including your sister that finally woke up from the Sleeping Hollow Disease with the help of Doctor Eleanor, to appear and witness your duel firsthand?"

Felix shook his head and smiled. His reaction was a sufficient answer.

After he finished interview, Felix was surrounded by three Lord Beast Tamer, shaking the disciples who didn’t expect for Felix to develop a close relationship with them.

Even more so when Krisha, with her identity, was included in the circle, as well.

Felix was already aware he was circled by big shots, but he wasn’t conscious enough to shy himself again when he met them.

Hence, Master Vey, Master Shen, and Doctor Eleanor were elated to notice Felix’s character growth.

He had become sharper and bolder than before.

Master Vey said, "It’s really funny, isn’t it? I was assigned by the Beast Tamer Association to be your senior instructor. It should be reverse. Give me a sword technique as well, Felix. I don’t mind restarting my foundation."

Master Vey exploded into a hoot of laughter, causing Felix to feel awkward.

He scratched his cheeks and said, "I think you already have a solid foundation in the way of the sword, Master Vey. If you aren’t, you wouldn’t be called Master, and you might not develop a Sword Intent."

"Sword Intent?" Master Vey and Master Shen’s eyebrows raised.

Felix smiled awkwardly.

He said, "The spirit of my sword is what he called it. It’s when you’ve developed a sword aura that could mentally attack others. Or when you can turn a simple leaf to a sharp sword as it has been enveloped by your sword intent."

Master Vey and Master Shen’s eyes widened. They glanced at each other and could discern the sparkle in their eyes.

Master Vey said, "So, that’s what you call it? We just thought we’ve just reached the stage of sword comprehension in accordance to the mastery of our energy after reaching Lord Rank."

Felix was surprised. He asked, "Does every sword cultivator reached that stage once they ascended to Lord Rank?"

Master Vey laughed. "Of course not. Just that, when reaching the Lord Rank, it’s easier to elevate your master in the sword."

Felix nodded. "I see."

"Also," said Master Shen. "I’m sure you know I’m the supervisor of the Manifested Armament Control Statute. Although the future where Beast Tamer summoned an armament instead of beast, I still created the statute with the help of the Beast Tamer Association. Who knows? Your sister might be the next person to summon it."

Master Vey laughed to his heart’s content.
