Chapter 116: Idolized

The fourth day arrived. It was currently dawn and Felix had just entered the Residential Wing when Instructor Arlo, who was playing Apex Live early in the morning, hastily stopped him.

Felix, perplexed, walked towards him.

Instructor Arlo forced an enigmatic smile, silent for a while to create a suspense.

However, Felix knew how to deal with him. He simply showed an indifferent expression, seemingly ready to leave once Instructor Arlo said nothing for a long time.

Felix wasn’t the same as before. His status far surpassed Instructor Arlo, who was at the late stage of Commander Rank.

Arlo was aware of it. He thought Felix was easy-going like before, but seeing his indifferent reaction, made him smile bitterly.

His heart ached. "You aren’t interested in my news?"

Felix furrowed his eyebrows. "How can I be interested or not when I don’t even know?"

Arlo sighed. He’s picking up the attitude of that aloof woman.

"It’s about the earnings you made from the duel. Master Shen in the meeting last night mentioned about it and instructed us if it would be possible to relay the news to you. You’ve made almost 1.5 million, Felix.

You’ve become one of the youngest millionaire. A money that you, of course, earned, not inherited.

Congratulations!"

Felix’s eyes widened. He was genuinely surprised. His heart raced. Like what Instructor Arlo said, he had become the youngest millionaire through earning the money, not something easily inherited.

He was broke not long ago, but now, he was earning a money he had not expected to come at the early age.

He thought it would happen past his middle-age.

Felix was excited. Yet, he didn’t show it to Instructor Arlo, lest he might take advantage of it.

He composed himself and smiled widely, saying in an upbeat tone, "I do interested for that news, Instructor Arlo. Thanks for letting me know."

Instructor Arlo beamed a smile and was about to walk towards him to establish closer relationship with him when Felix turned around and proceeded to his room.

Instructor Arlo, grabbing the swinging door, froze. He then felt awkward and could only smile.

He thought of the indifferent Krisha and grumbled in annoyance.

That damn woman is spreading her attitude around!

Felix, on the other hand, felt satisfied. At first, he was extremely polite even to the individual who displeased him because of their status.

But now? Felix understood his significance to the Chambers City. In other words, his reputation had far surpassed others.

It was evident after scrolling through social media earlier. There was even a fan group established with his name.

He, of course, joined and immediately got accepted by an admin at 2am. The admin was so excited that Felix immediately received a message from him and learned he was a high school student, and he was one of the admin, who was grateful to still be awake to accept his request to become a member of his own fan page.

Funny enough, before he applied to become a member, there were set of questions about him—his background, each of his family’s name, his beast pet, his opponents which the answers could be found if they were reading the weekly news.

Felix was so amused he was in a good mood to reply the admin’s inquiries until he had to tell him to sleep already. Felix didn’t reply afterwards, confident that the admin wouldn’t stop unless he had to.

He didn’t know how he made them idolized him greatly the point they would become excited when talking with him, but he kind of understood since he himself idolized historical figures, who introduced a lot of concepts he learned from high school.

If he could meet them, he’d tremble as well out of excitement.

Felix was so amused he spent most of his time scrolling in social media, learning posts about him, some messaged that were sent through his mail, and he even had some time to reply to them.

Although he received an immediate reply, he simply messaged back and smiled and immediately felt the happiest person alive.

To be idolized was indeed every man’s fantasy. It fueled their ego.

Felix belonged to them—it was a very natural response.

Soon, he would grow accustomed to it, so that was why he savored it until he’d grow tired.

Once Felix sent Moon and Rain to their personal quarters, he slept for 5 hours straight before contacting Krisha to eat lunch together again.

Once they sat and ate, they began talking about their duel tomorrow.

Krisha said, "I just realized that we rejected the broadcasting network when you could have earned money for it again."

Felix chuckled. "You’ve received the message, too? I want our duel to be private, really. As for the money, it doesn’t matter, Doctor Eleanor assured me of my contributions about the cure of the Sleeping Hollow Disease.

It will only be a matter of time before I paid your father."

Krisha raised her eyebrows and grinned.

"So, that’s the first thing that comes into your mind after earning a huge amount of money, huh? Quite a character of you."

Felix shrugged. "What do you mean? It’s natural that I feel and want to act that way. I’m not used to owing to someone, or feel indebted to them."

Krisha nodded as she shoved the food into her mouth with her spoon gently.

"I know you are that type of person."

Felix smiled.

As they continued eating, Krisha asked, "Since you’ve mentioned about our duel being private, it doesn’t really have to occur in the beast sync arena, right? Ben can still narrate what happened and posted it online."

"Yes, but it’s nothing similar to be live in a television. People can just wonder through the text. Also, we have to duel in the beast sync arena. We can’t fight somewhere in someone else’s privacy. We have to follow their rules."

"Okay, Mister Good Citizen."

Felix simply smiled at Krisha’s sarcastic remarks.

Afterwards, Felix and Krisha ate for sometime until they finally decided not to relax by walking around in the Azure Cleave Dojo, wanting to prepare themselves prior to their battle tomorrow.

Felix honestly prepared himself against Krisha. Despite being confident he’d win against her, he didn’t want to be complacent. Hence, he spent afternoon with Rain and Moon on her beast quarter.

When night arrived, Felix and Krisha had a meal together again since they were in their beast pet’s beast quarters next to each other. They chatted for a while, not mentioning about their preparations on their duel for tomorrow at all.

Instead, they discussed about their departure. They already decided to depart by tomorrow and headed home first.

Afterwards, their conversation shifted to Mia.

"How is Mia? Is she still insisting in practicing the basic stances I taught to her?"

After the feasts yesterday night, Felix had Mia and Krisha stayed in his room, where he taught the former about the basic stances first. As much as Mia was excited about learning sword techniques already, Felix made her body be physically fit first before giving her a sword technique.

Guide already had a sword technique for Mia, which could be altered and finalized without problem once she summoned her first beast pet and finalized her elemental affinity.

The only condition she has to meet was for her body to handle a strenuous sword practice.

Krisha recalled Mia and giggled. "She’s a hardworking child. Every time I saw her practicing basic stances, especially the horse stance while perspiring and making funny faces just to concentrate, I had to control my laughter to the point it’s hurting me."

Felix chuckled. "Though, you can just burrow your head to the pillow and laugh."

Krisha rolled her eyes. "Of course, that’s what I did."

Felix asked. "And about her meal? She doesn’t join us, still. Is the personalized diet meal by Chef Aaron is delivered in time by an outer disciple?"

Krisha nodded. "Yep. They showed great courtesy to Mia every time she wanted to talk with them.

You know, I sometimes wonder, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re more the owner of the dojo than Master Shen.

They respected you a lot and always talked about you."

Felix smirked at her. "You’re jealous, aren’t you?"

Krisha rolled her eyes. "I don’t need to."

Felix laughed.

"Master Shen is just a person who rarely show emotion. He’s very mysterious. The only thing that the disciples knew of him is that he’s a Lord and powerful in terms of sword fighting, which is already obvious.

They haven’t witnessed him fight first hand."

Krisha nodded. "Fair enough. Compared against you, whose sword art far surpassed Master Shen’s."

Felix smiled. "Still, I admire Master Shen, unlike us, he created the sword technique tailored for him and for others. He’s really admiring. Only if the disciples are aware of this, they might idolized him more than me."

Krisha agreed without hesitation. Even she would find it difficult to achieve what Master Shen had.

Afterwards, they chatted for a while until they entered Krisha’s room, where Felix checked Mia.
